"My birthday celebration doesn't end there." The initial gloom on my face disappeared, turning into a wide smile.
Death blinked blankly at me, confused.
"There's more?"
"I know," I giggled. "I was surprised, too!"
"This isn't over, Evangeline." Dante declared like some sort of villain who swore to get the last laugh.
"What are you talking about?" Evangeline tilted her head to the side. Beside her leg, Brownie did the same action.
The In-Between morphed into the entrance of Evangeline's house, where the childhood friends (and Brownie) were standing. Evangeline handed him a container full of brownies since Dante wanted to take some home.
"Let me finish fixing my motorcycle, then we'll have a Part 2 of your birthday." He grinned. "And maybe 3 and 4 as well, if you enjoy my company."
"Part 2--What do you mean?" Suddenly, something dawned upon Evangeline. "You have a motorcycle?"
