Chapter 52 - Bedtime Stories

I hummed, walking down the childhood aisle and eyeing the brightly colored memory jars on the shelves. My shoes made soft tapping sounds as they landed on the epoxy (or at least, something similar to this material) floor. 

I had no idea how long I would be stuck in this place since there was probably no concept of time in the Afterlife. That's why I decided to open as many jars as possible, just because I could.

Death said the arrangement of the memory jars was unlike in the In-Between, where it was shown to me through the level of importance but not necessarily in chronological order.

The first jar on the shelf and the first one I opened were my baby memories (which I don't even remember!) so I had a gut feeling that the succeeding memories would be the same.

I decided to skip the following few jars directly beside the first one I opened since I didn't care much for my infant memories.
