Chapter 6 - The one who waits

She let out a deep breath and looked at the sky, touching her neck. When Aluren touched her neck she almost wished he has choked her, even just a little bit.

With the swishing of water from her legs she made her way to the left side of the lake and climbed out looking back one more time at the flower in the middle. It was time for her to find shelter.

Her body was exhausted and she wanted to rest. So she headed into an area with lots of short blades of grass. Minor shrubbery and minimal trees. It was open enough that she couldn't see any predators.

"It's safe enough I guess." she said to herself as she sighed and approached a tree.

She sat down beneath it and leaned against the trunk rubbing her arms.

Her skin felt so revived and hydrated from the syrup.

"What! No way!" she said feeling around her shoulder and face.

All her injuries from Luka were healed.

"That stuff does some wicked miracles." she said as she closed her eyes paying no attention to the bits of white she seen on the corner of her eyes. She was too tired to care and slowly passed out, not bothering to fight the weight of her eyes.

She had a hard difficulty to dream, often awaking randomly for a few seconds before forcing herself back to sleep.

It was certainly difficult, all she could dream was pitch and black. At least for awhile.

The first couple hours of attempting to sleep comfortably were black but afterwards all she could see was a flicker of a flame.

A dream that did nothing by sway.

To her it was a pointless and meaningless dream, it felt as if only minutes had past when she awoken. She opened her eyes slowly and blinked. Her vision taking a small while to actually process the environment.

She was still and panicked as she turned her head. She couldn't move at all, but where she was, hadn't been where she fell asleep. There was minimal light, no moon in the sky and fog covering most of the area. Perhaps it was just later in the night, or maybe early in the morning before the sun had risen.

Her body felt normal at least, but her arms wouldn't move past her sides, and her legs wouldn't leave eachother.

"What the hell." she said to herself as she attempted to wiggle but did not move at all.

With the turn of her head to the left her eyes widened.

She turned her head as much as she could, so much that it hurt her neck burned and ached. She wasn't even on the ground, not even close.

She was high up, probably ten feet she couldnt tell with he fog, but she could see the tops of bushes far down below. With a look to the right she jumped in surprise and fear.

"Oh fuck no! Anything but spiders!" she cried to herself beginning to wiggle erratically.

She could see them. Sharp and slow moving. The ends of huge spider legs four feet to the first joint that would go off to attach to a much larger body.

The legs moved carefully and would occasionally pluck at the web she was laying on. It sounded like the pluck of a violins strings, quick, pitched, and dull.

The vibrations sent shivers across her body as she turned her head away.

The legs didn't make a sound themselves as they moved carefully across the web and closer to her.

"Awake are we? That's too bad. I was hoping you wouldn't put up a fight." said the voice, scratchy and pitched like a boy in his preteens.

She couldn't say nothing at all she only wiggled in fear to try and get away.

"Wiggling only makes it worse you know." said the voice.

The top of the spiders body stretched off into a torso that attacked a head, no hair, but four pale yellow eyes and a mouth full of sharp teeth that grinned at her.

"Disgusting... Disgusting!" she said to herself as she winced her eyes shut tight and jerked as hard as she could to get away, but didn't budge a bit.

"Oh~ now now. It'll be over quick. You'll hardly feel a thing." he said grabbing her leg and with ease cut off the binds that held them together.

She spared no seconds free, she used all her strength to kick at him, landing a clean blow to his chin.

"AH!!!" he yelled dropping her.

"Get away from me!!!" she shouted kicking her legs.

He growled in irritation and moved quickly forward. It was a blink of an eye for him to bite her and inject his venom into her.

"Fuck!!! Fuck.... Ahhhh... Fuck." she said as her leg was bit. It was a sharp pain like shards of glass stabbing her. But it immediately numbed and ceased as if her leg was falling asleep, sending pins and needles up her body.

The spider legs crept closer as the torso hung over her head.

"It won't hurt you too much once it settles so relax in the meantime." he said with a grin.

She felt the pins and needles make it all throughout her body before her body temperature rapidly increased. Despite the cold air, she felt hot, so hot her face began to redden. It was an uncomfortable heat, an annoying sensation, her heart beat fast, she could hear it even.

The spider watched and patiently waited by. Not making a single movement, not even blinking an eye. The venom he injected only began to get worse it sent her hormones crazy.

Maybe it was through her own fear, but she began to laugh out. She laughed loud and quickly, coughing twice from her own saliva trickling down the wrong tube. From there she began to cry, not heavy but slowly a tear at a time from each eye. Her flesh on the outside was numb, and she wasn't even able to feel the tears as they dripped down her face.

"Aww~" mocked the spider as he look onward at her. Intruiged by her own spiral as he lowered himself onto his webs and curled up his legs.

Her hormones began to go crazy as she felt a build up in pressure inside herselfas if she had to pee. It caused heightened sensitivity In her bladder, the only comfort she could think of was pressing her legs as tight as she could. It didn't help and only made it worse.

She didn't know what to do but look around at the old shriveled corpses exposed through tons of webbing. Would she end up like that?

She really hated spiders.
