Chapter 10 - Long strides

She'd been walking a long time since the valley. These monsters were insane,a fascinating biology, lots of males, and all of them were extremely horny! That was is wasn't it? Or did they pick up on the smell of her hormones? Maybe it was an annual mating season for the species around here.

She let out a long sigh as she made it to the bottom of the hill that connected to the valley. She was in a large open plains. She stood stopped and still. There was a breeze of fresh and amazing air that filled her lungs in one deep breath. It was a bit chilly on her body. Her underwear was lost to the wolf, the flower had held her shoes and socks, the spider had ripped her skirt to bits and all she had left in full was her dress shirt and bra.

Looking across the vast and open landscape. She could see water along the horizon maybe connecting to the sea. Across the plains was a smaller forest with much shorter trees, still dark inside. But in the middle of the valley was a pond and a few trees with a fruit of some kind. A long and dark figure was in the tree.

"A horse!!!" she said with excitement running quickly across the field to catch it, hoping she wouldn't spook it into fleeing. She hadn't much ridden horses. Only one time that she remembered, on a small pony.

Her breath became more short as she exhausted herself in her run. Her lungs burning and her mouth and throat dry. She was about four meters away from it as she dropped to her knees. Putting her head back to the sky she took in a large breath and exhale. Her heart beating strong against her chest as her lungs gently pushed against her ribcage.

A thump in the grass ahead got her to look forward as sge noticed the four hooves. Massive shining mahogany hooves connected to long and thin black legs, attacked to the strong muscles of a torso. And also a mortal attachment of a big broad chest, with pale honey skin, a line of hair from his midsection past his bellybutton to the horse body. Blackish grey dull hair, that hung down to his elbows. And pine green eyes that looked down on her.

"A baby elf?" said his soft and deep voice.

Her face changed immedietly into a glare. "No! I'm not a baby elf, or a deformed elf, I'm not any kind of elf i am a human!"she said

" A... Human? Are you sure? They died off awhile ago." he said as he began to walk forward with long strides across the valley.

"Hold on a second!" she said jumping onto her feet and chasing him.

"Humans existed here?" she asked

"Yes."

"Exactly how long ago? What happened to them?"

"Long ago. And then they decided to start war with the residents and were annihilated." he said holding his arms full of fruit from the tree.

"Really? So they're all gone?" she asked. She finally felt like she was closer to answers.

"So humans and elves? Are they similar?"she asked.

" Humans mated with fairies. Beautiful creatures of magic. And together they birthed the elves. They are born with particular magic although most prefer to resonate with the forest. They look similar to you, with longer ears, magic, and they also live significantly longer." said the centaur.

"Really?" she hummed in thought to herself as she paid attention to where they were heading. It was big and open, a camp of some kind, blankets and leather all over on racks of twigs and logs.

He approached a blanketed area and laid down, his human torso dropped the berries and began to skin them with a stone knife.

"How primitive..." she smiled and sits beside him. She watched his hands elegantly skin the fruit with ease of the blade.

Using his fingers he offered her some fruit.

"No thank you." she said.

Swiftly he reached forward and grabbed her face. Using his thumb he pushed her lips and jaw down. She was too surprised to fight back as he slid an edge of fruit into her lips.

"You're skinny.... Eat more." he said sternly.

"Yes father." she said lowly and teasingly as she laughed at her own comment. She chewed the fruit. It tasted similarly to an apple coated in honey and lightly salted.

The blanket she sat on was comfortable. She wiggled on her knees to test its filling.

"This is comfy. I take it you made this yourself, what did you use to fill it?" she asked.

He didn't look at her as he remained focused on the fruit.

"It's filled with feathers and fur fibre."he said.

" It's very comfortable." she smiled.

" You're clothing is torn. Would you like me to make you a skirt, I should have some extra leather around."

"Oh, I would really appreciate that if you could! Thank you so much!" she said with a smile.

She was so excited to not be so bare. The creatures she had encountered so far were indeed bizzare but each one have her a bit of something intimate and different to take home with her. If she would ever be able to get home. The existence of the elves and previous existence of humans gave her a bit of hope.

"Hey... My name is Dahlia. What is your name?" she asked.

"I am called Sannaxes."

"wow... That sounds powerful." she said.

He laughed a bit at her comment and smiled.

"You are an interesting little.... Human."he said.

She didn't seem bothered by this comment as she smiled and stuck out his tongue.
