Eleanora blinked her round blue eyes e few times with a dumbfounded expression as she had still to proceed what was happening.
She was sliding down with a high speed and this man; he was in the room right?
Then how did he not only came here in such a short moment but also catch her at the same time?
"Your father is asking you something, Eleanora."
Alexander's cold voice bought her back in the reality.
She wanted to struggle and move away from this man but somehow, she couldn't do it.
She didn't want to push him away or rather; she wanted to cling to his warmth.
Eleanora decides to calm down and handle the matter as her mother has always taught her.
The more she will panic, the messier this situation will become and put her in danger.
"Listen mister,"
Eleanora called out the man who held her in his arms and paused for a while before continuing with her words.
Not realizing the darken aura around Alexander, who was looking at her coldly.
"I don't know what rivalry you have with my father, but please sort it out with him instead of dragging me. I tried to learn business but I had zero talent on it thus my father sent me to Donavon Corporation to annoy my boyfriend."
"He has nothing to do with it either, so please let us go."
As she finished speaking, Eleanora felt proud as she has calmly handled the matter.
But a shiver runs down her sprain as Alexander's cold voice echoes.
"Are you done?"
He pauses on his words and Eleanora timidly looks at him.
"What nonsense are you spouting?!"
"And where did you even learnt this words from?!"
"He is not and can't even be your boyfriend!"
[A/N: People in this era consider the term boyfriend/girlfriend as prostitute or mistress, whom the wealthy noble mans or women keep beside them despite having a lawfully wedded husband/wife.
So it's an insult to the crown prince of the empire to call her boyfriend, and she might even get punished for calling the emperor's son like that.]
Eleanora shudders with fear as she meets his cold eyes and a tear drop lefts her blue eyes.
"Papa…"
She bites her lip as she suddenly starts to miss her father, Ethan Montogamy.
No one has ever looked so coldly at her since her birth; her father has always dotted on her and loved her dearly.
But now this man in front of her may look a little like her father, even give her the same feeling; but this man is really cold.
Alexander's eyes jolted a little as he heard her words; it's been years since she has called him that.
"Eleanora-"
But his happiness vanished the next second.
"GO AWAY! YOU SCARY MAN!! I WANT TO GO TO MY PAPA!!"
"TAKE ME TO MY PAPA!!!"
"WHERE ARE YOU PAPA?!! SAVE ME!!! SAVE YOUR ELLE, PAPA!!!"
[A/N: Eleanora, who lived as Milenka Montogamy in the modern life also, had the same nickname as her past self.]
"SAVE ME MOMMY!!"
Eleanora struggled on Alexander's arms as she continued to punch his chest with her tiny fist.
The whole duchy became quite and only her loud wailings could be heard.
Alexander felt like the coldness on his heart was being crushed as she called out for her father, but it seemed like she wasn't calling for him.
"Eleanora… calm-calm down,"
He painfully uttered in a low voice.
"Papa is here… Papa is in front of you-"
But his words were cut off by her even before he could finish his sentence.
"YOU ARE NOT MY PAPA!! BRING ME MY PAPA!!"
"ELLE WANTS TO SEE HER OWN PAPA!!!"
Tears kept pouring out from her she kept shouting and Alexander completely froze because of her words.
His daughter, who kept following him and tried to get his attention, is now saying that he isn't her father?
Who else can be her father except him?
"Your grace…"
Maria hesitantly walked to Alexander as she wanted to hold Eleanora.
The knights around them felt sorry for their Captain, but they felt sorrier for their princess.
She is only 12 but going through such a pain.
[A/N: They are thinking that she is missing her mother, the duchess too much as the duke, her father neglected her.]
But he gestured everyone to step back as he hugged his struggling daughter tightly on his arms, fearing that she might run away if he lets her go.
He has never felt like this till now.
Because he knew Eleanora would always be his little princess no matter what.
He kept his distance as he was afraid to lose her too like his wife.
But now, he suddenly realized he might have pushed her too far from him.
So far that she even denied him as her father.
This feeling was really painful.
Alexander silently started to climb up the stairs with the crying Eleanora on his arms.
"Sleep, Eleanora… Everything will be alright after you wake up,"
"Don't think about anything else…just sleep and relax."
He spoke, but it was more like comforting himself by saying she will be like before after she wakes up again.
She will again follow him around and stick to him.
And his voice felt like a warm invitation to her, which was luring her to sleep.
Eleanora's body suddenly started to feel warm and her head got lighter as she felt something rushing into her blood alongside of the coldness.

She slowly stopped struggling as she got tired and buried her wet face into his chest.
Her eyelids felt heavy as she could feel herself falling asleep slowly.
Nothing was making sense to her.
She was in the plane with Cathain; she felt her body burning in the flaming fire.
How come she was kidnapped in the meantime?
They not only changed her hair and eye color, but she also looks a lot younger.
Then what happened to Cathain?
Where is he?
