"Is this the Bryan you told me about?" One of the three Dark Mantle heavyweights, Amyes, asked elegantly as he watched Han Shuo in the garden house with amusement.
"That's him. He's really done a lot of great things in this short span of time. His strength also seems to be unfathomable. But I haven't really seen it with my own eyes. Shall we take this opportunity to see his true strength?" The distant looking Candide said to Amyes.
Amyes looked to be only about thirty years old. He wore a fitting white robe without any other ornaments, giving him a clean and pure appearance. This added to his already exceptional good looks. There was also an attractive, graceful charm about him.
For the nobles of the Lancelot realm, however, Amyes' ever-elegant smile and graceful good looks were shrouded by the shadow of death. A noble was simply out of luck if he set his sights on them. At the very least, they would be thrown into prison after the confiscation of their property, and at the very worst they would be executed on the spot.
Of the Dark Mantle's three heavyweights, Cecilia was usually involved in activities abroad, while Candide was responsible for gathering domestic intelligence and investigating other empires' assassins. As for Amyes, he was in charge of monitoring and intimidating dignitaries. The three of them coordinated very well. Candide and Cecilia rarely showed their faces and never posed a threat to the Empire's nobles, so Amyes was the one most of them knew and feared the most. There wasn't an aristocrat who wasn't afraid of him.
"You should be well aware of Leah Cain's strength. Besides, he has a relationship with the First Prince Charles. If this boy can't win against Leah Cain, I'm afraid he won't be able to leave this place alive." Amyes squinted at the proudly standing Han Shuo in the garden house and said to Candide.
"Hehehe. That's hard to say. Ferguson was a light Grand Magus like you, and yet he died at Bryan's hand. As far as I know, Ferguson's reputation isn't any less than Leah Cain's. If he could kill a Light Grand Magus, he should be able to kill Leah Cain! Although Candide wasn't so optimistic about Han Shuo privately, he still had to put up a front in front of Amyes. After all, Han Shuo had been promoted by him.
Amyes smiled elegantly and nodded slightly before sitting down comfortably on a stone bench above a high platform. He took out a set of fine tea accessories and began to enjoy them.
Han Shuo was quite worried at the moment. Through the observation of the three Yin Demons, he found Emily, Phoebe and Fanny outside. Even though they weren't in the same place, he knew that they would definitely rush to him as soon as he left the garden house.
Han Shuo wasn't too worried about Emily. After all, she was much more open-minded when it came to romance. She might be a little unhappy, but the possibility of her causing a scene was minimal. The same couldn't be said for Phoebe and Fanny. Neither of them knew anything about his current situation. Once these two met, they would undoubtedly cause a storm.
While Han Shuo was wallowing in anxiety over this situation, the Great Swordmaster Leah Cain walked out into the centre of the garden house. He carried a broadsword, his face cold and the look in his eyes brutal as he glanced at Han Shuo. Leah Cain sneered, "Little guy, are you that Bryan?"
"That's me, you must already know everything, so there's no need for nonsense. The two of us will fight it out on this spacious lawn and settle everything in one go. Does that sound alright?" Han Shuo immediately threw all his worries to the wind when he saw Leah Cain appear. He looked at her rapturously and replied casually.
"That works. I will teach you a good lesson!" Leah Cain laughed coldly. He glanced at the crowd outside the garden house and suddenly proposed an idea, "If you don't mind, can we allow the outsiders to come in and watch the fight?"
Han Shuo furrowed his brow for a moment before saying, "I don't mind myself, but there are too many people outside. I'm afraid it's not very appropriate to let them all in!"
"Then just let the nobles in. That shouldn't be a problem!" This suggestion was due to Charles' previous reminder, otherwise Leah himself didn't care about any of this.
Han Shuo was afraid of some unexpected stormy situations if the three women met, so he'd been hesitant. Now that he'd heard Leah Cain's words, he remembered that neither Fanny nor Phoebe had noble titles. He immediately nodded and said, "Then so be it!"
Hearing the agreement, Leah Cain waved his arm at the guard standing in the distance. The guard seemed to have known, for he shouted, "Those with a noble title in the Empire may come inside to watch. Civilians will not be admitted."
One by one, the nobles who had been outside walked elegantly in with their noses raised. The civilians around had no objection. The nobility had certain privileges on the Profound Continent. The people here all understood and were used to it, so they weren't surprised.
The nobles entered with their followers. Phoebe and Lawrence also took the opportunity to enter as a couple. Phoebe suddenly felt someone watching her as soon as she walked in. She lifted her head to see Emily's surprised expression.
Emily was wearing a purple dress, her skin as soft as white jade as she stood with old Mr Hahn's group. She looked beautiful, with an inviolable, noble air, and had none of the melancholy one would normally see in a widow. She was too radiant for words.
"Damn that Bryan! That Emily must have taken that magical pill too. Does he have a relationship with Emily?" Phoebe realised that it was the effect of the Rebirth Pill with just one look at Emily's delicate, pure white cheeks. On the other hand, Phoebe's eyes were filled with surprise as she looked at Emily. The two women only needed to look at each other to understand.
"Hey! Bryan, you're definitely going to win!" Lawrence was very optimistic as he cheered for Han Shuo from a distance.
"Huh, you want to win with his strength? Dream on!" Not far from Lawrence, first Prince Charles said contemptuously. The group of nobles behind him immediately joined in to lick his boots, taking turns to analyse the reasons why Han Shuo would lose. Their goal was to win some goodwill from Charles.
In the middle of the garden house was a lawn the size of a football field. Han Shuo and Leah Cain were currently standing in the centre of this lawn. Around them sat the nobles of the Lancelot Empire. They had brought their own highly trained guards with them and kept their distance so that they didn't have to worry about their safety.
Leah Cain's expression was stern and cold, and he didn't care much for Han Shuo. As he saw the nobles enter, his eyes shifted to Charles. The chattering First Prince nodded slightly in response to Leah Cain's gaze, indicating that he could make a move.
Only now did Leah Cain look back at Han Shuo as he grabbed his broadsword. His voice sounded cold, "Little one, are you ready to die?"
Taking a deep breath, Han Shuo cleared his mind of all distractions. His face instantly became cold and ruthless, the arrogance in his voice no less, "Mister Leah Cain, before this fight, Let me remind you that in addition to being a martial artist, I'm also an Archmage Necromancer. I hope you'll be careful!"
"Huh. Nothing but a useless archmage necromancer, wasting your strength training that kind of useless magic. I can already imagine how much skill you have. I really don't understand what kind of garbage that Great Swordsmaster you killed was. He couldn't even defeat a brat like you who doesn't focus on martial arts training. It seems like your Lancelot Empire doesn't have a single truly strong expert!"
Leah Cain was really too arrogant. He had insulted every noble around him with just a few sentences. Even the nobles who had bet on his victory showed angry expressions.
Fool! Even if you win, don't even dream of gaining a foothold in this Lancelot Empire. No wonder you had to flee from the Brut Alliance. If it weren't for your power, they would have killed you long ago! First Prince Charles cursed in his heart as he looked at the arrogant Leah Cain. He secretly made up his mind not to reveal his relationship with Leah Cain, even if he managed to kill Han Shuo. He had to prevent this from affecting the nobles' opinion of him.
"Mister Leah Cain, I hope you won't disappoint me!" Han Shuo's mind moved with a thought and the Demonslayer Edge appeared in his right hand. The one metre long blade didn't look very sharp, and the body of the weapon was an unusual dark brown. In fact, the Demonslayer's Edge didn't look prominent at all without the injection of Magical Yuan.
"Little one, since you dared to find me, I'm sure you're well prepared. Today, I'm going to show you the true power of your elders. Don't think you're invincible just because you beat some trash!" Leah Cain let out a cold snort. He pointed his sword at Han Shuo and said haughtily.
Han Shuo did not react to Leah Cain anymore, his face was ice-cold. He raised the Demonslayer Edge slightly and shot forward. His extremely fast speed created several shadow images along his path, so fast that it was difficult to tell which were real and which were false with the naked eye.
