"I've only just set foot in the door and I have many questions to ask you!" Han Shuo had many tricks of his own and had a dark archmage at his side. Two against one wouldn't be any worse. Therefore, Han Shuo wasn't nervous at all when he saw the necromancer hovering over him.
His figure was shapeless and unpredictable, like that of a ghost, and the Necromancer kept changing direction. When he was within ten metres of the pair, the Archmage Necromancer suddenly waved his bone staff and chanted an incantation.
An evil knight in black armour and dark skin, over ten feet tall, appeared, riding a howling beast stronger than a rhinoceros and covered in brown scales. He raised a spiked club as thick as a human body as he spurred the howling beast beneath him to charge viciously at Han Shuo and Emily.
The evil knight was a dark creature, one level above a hate warrior. Only necromancers at the Archmage level could summon them. They came from the dark abyss of the other dimension. Their black armour gave them an absolute advantage in deflecting physical attacks. Combined with the charging power of the howling beast beneath them, they were everyone's worst nightmare.
The evil knight charged at Han Shuo and Emily as soon as it appeared, raising its club high and bringing it down like a metal pillar.
Emily jumped back when she saw the evil knight and muttered a dark spell. The Grim Reaper's blade from earlier had not yet disappeared, and with Emily's manipulations, it swung towards the evil knight.
After summoning the evil knight, the necromancer didn't take another step forward, but quickly dodged to the side and summoned a team of gargoyles to attack Han Shuo, firing bone spears in all directions.
Compared to the fighting students at the academy, the necromancer was obviously much more experienced and had a very fine sense of timing. He'd approached them unpredictably to summon the evil knight, taking advantage of the short distance to attack and deny them any chance to defend themselves.
Following Han Shuo's thoughts, the Demonslayer's Edge swirled once more in flight, imbued with the flaming red spellfire, and shot at the gargoyles making their way over. Han Shuo himself chanted 'Bone Shield' and blocked forward, defending against the bone spears.
After blocking two rounds of bone spears, the magically summoned 'Bone Shield' broke apart. Han Shuo's mental power quickly circulated and he abruptly summoned the little skeleton and gave the mental command to fight the evil knight.
The evil knight on the howling beast was an extremely high-level dark creature. With great agility, he used the metal club in his hand to block the attacks from Emily's Grim Reaper Blade. The spiked club that had appeared with it was quite durable, as it didn't break at all when it collided with Emily's blade. "Eh, you only know how to summon skeleton warriors?" The necromancer was quite perplexed when he saw that Han Shuo had only summoned a bizarre skeleton after quickly chanting a spell.
A lazy smile played on his lips as Han Shuo didn't react, only mentally commanding the little skeleton to attack the evil knight.
His two leg bones leapt up, the little skeleton's seven bone spurs shaking as he flew through the air. Clutching the bone dagger tightly in his hands, he made the first move, moving swiftly behind the evil knight like a bolt of lightning.
The evil knight, facing the reaper's blade, seemed to despise the little skeleton. He shook his shoulders slightly and shifted his black armour to cover his back. The necromancer had a mocking smile on his face as he watched the little skeleton attack, showing no concern for the evil knight he'd summoned.
Just as the little skeleton's bone dagger was about to plunge into the evil knight's back, the bone dagger froze for a second and suddenly changed direction, plunging into the evil knight's exposed neck. The evil knight, facing the blade's attack, suddenly let out a series of hideous screams as the giant spiked club in his hand waved wildly.
Emily's summoned blade slipped past the spiked club's defences and slammed into the howling beast's body, severing its head and sending out a comet-like burst of light.
The little skeleton flew over at the same time and landed on the evil knight.
It blurred into motion and seemed to stab the now unarmoured evil knight indiscriminately.
The little skeleton also pulled out the bone dagger that had been stabbed into the evil knight's neck, grabbed it, and kept plunging it into the evil knight's body. The evil knight, who had been covered in shining armour and riding the howling beast, suddenly changed drastically.
The black armour suddenly became rusty, and the evil knight's originally strong and shiny body turned to dust and vanished in an instant. Even the howling beast he rode was reduced to ashes. It was the manifestation of life being thoroughly wiped away.
Emily breathed a sigh of relief as the evil knight vanished, her highly tensed heart finally able to calm down, and the Grim Reaper's blade also vanished without a trace. The little skeleton was the only thing left as it spun its bone dagger, remembering the seven bone spurs on the ground and placing them back on its back.
The sneer on the necromancer's face was long gone as he looked at the skeleton in disbelief. He cried out in shock, "Impossible, this is completely impossible. A hundred skeleton warriors wouldn't be able to harm one evil knight. This goes against the basic tenets of necromancy theory!"
With a faint smile still on his face, Han Shuo said very simply, "Nothing is impossible. Although I don't have as much knowledge of necromancy as you, I don't think there's anything illogical about this."
He gave an order and the little skeleton's legs shook as it took off towards the necromancer.
The necromancer was very surprised, but then he laughed strangely, "Good, very good! Now let me see what secrets you have!"
A necromancy incantation sang softly from his mouth as the necromancer quickly approached Han Shuo. Just as the little skeleton was about to collide with him, the necromancer suddenly leapt high into the air and flung the bone staff in his hand, landing on Han Shuo's head.
An enormous evil mental force suddenly surged into Han Shuo through the bone staff like a magnet, trying to undermine Han Shuo's memories. The necromancer displayed a proud smile as he viciously said to the panicking Emily, "Do not move. I've already made contact with his soul. If I die suddenly, he'll lose his soul and become an idiot."
Emily was instantly stunned when she heard those words as she looked at Han Shuo anxiously. She discovered that Han Shuo was standing there frozen, completely out of it, his eyes unfocused as if he were a sculpture or a stone.
Even the little skeleton that had just received Han Shuo's order to attack the necromancer suddenly stood there blankly, looking around as he brandished his bone dagger as if waiting for Han Shuo to give him an order.
"Haha, this is a necromancy magic called 'Soul Erosion' that I've recently learned. I can take over a person's soul through necromancy magic and gain all their secrets after eroding their soul. I'm connected to the target during this process, and my target can't escape even if I die suddenly. Haha!" The Necromancer began to proudly explain to Emily as he saw that his power through the bone staff had entered Han Shuo's brain.
Emily was now quite desperate as she looked at Han Shuo, not knowing whether to fight this necromancer or not.
As an archmage, Emily could clearly sense the enormous, evil spiritual power that had entered Han Shuo's body through the white bone staff above his head. She didn't dare to disbelieve the Necromancer's words.
Just as Emily was at her wits end, not knowing what to do, Han Shuo, who had been so relaxed, suddenly let out a harsh scream as red and purple spellfire surged up his arms. His entire being seemed to be enveloped in purple and red flames as his face became quite contorted and his entire body filled with a terrifying aura.
At the same time, the previously cocky Necromancer's face suddenly drained of all colour as he cried out in extreme fear, "No, don't!"
