Chapter 64 - CHAPTER 63: Snobbish Lowlife

Han Shuo knew in his heart what three thousand gold coins meant. It was indeed enough to buy many lives. Even though he understood that he had inexplicably gotten himself into a sticky situation, his original anger was instantly crushed by gold coins when Phoebe mentioned the astronomical price of three thousand gold coins.

"Don't get too excited. At this point, I think you can probably guess what's going on without further words from me. The person who bought the murder and wants 'Shadow Ghost' to kill me is my 'dear and beloved' Uncle Grover.

My uncle has wealth that speaks louder than others. There are many skilled talents at his side who can make you die unknowingly. Also, after today's events, my uncle will surely tell Shadow Ghost that it was you who killed the three assassins. Shadow Ghost is a killing organisation that is known for taking revenge for the slightest grievance. I think you're in for a lot of trouble." Seeing Han Shuo's satisfied smile, Phoebe thought for a moment and felt that she had to speak up and warn Han Shuo.

"Heh heh, this has nothing to do with me. When I leave the Boozt Merchant Guild, I'll hide myself well. Whether it's 'Shadow Ghost' or your uncle, none of them will be able to find me. It won't be that easy for them to kill me."

Han Shuo had already thought of these things when he accepted this matter. After leaving the Boozt Merchant Guild, he would immediately cover up any traces of his movements. After giving the gold coins to Fanny, he would immediately ask for some time off and use the transport matrix hidden in the space ring to train in the graveyard for some time. That way he'd be able to avoid Phoebe's problems.

"I see, I'm relieved that you've already made plans. I pushed everything onto you because I didn't want to reveal my power too early. Otherwise, if 'Shadow Ghost' sends even stronger assassins, even with my strength as a swordsman, it would be hard for me to handle them."

Nodding, Han Shuo smiled, "I understand. Since you've already paid gold coins for me to be your scapegoat, of course I have nothing to say. I have absolutely no interest in the internal affairs of your Boozt Merchant Guild. If there's nothing else, could you take an inventory of my items? I'll leave after receiving the gold coins."

"Alright, Fabian, take the items out of his pockets and look at them."

Fabian had calmed down by now and when he heard Phoebe's words, he immediately went to Han Shuo's thirteen bags and took out the items inside the bags one by one and counted them. Finally, he respectfully said to Phoebe, "Miss, these items should be worth around four thousand gold."

"Plus the three thousand gold I promised you, that makes a total of seven thousand gold. Are you satisfied?" Phoebe looked at Han Shuo from a distance and asked.

"No problem, I think we will have many opportunities to work together in the future. Except this Boozt merchant guild doesn't seem too safe. Can we go somewhere else next time we do business?"

Phoebe's black eyebrows wrinkled pleasantly when she heard Han Shuo's words. She nodded and said, "That old thing's confidants are all over the guild, I haven't dared to live here for a long time. This time, the old thing has dared to start something within the Guild, which means he's becoming more confident, secure in the knowledge that he has strong support. It looks like he's bribed the others in the guild.

Fabian, find me a new place to live. We are moving out today. I can no longer live in the guild. I will contact the other founding members of the guild as soon as possible. As long as I can prove my ability to do business and gain the support of the other founding members, we can get that old thing off the stage."

"Don't worry, miss, I've already thought of that. I've already found a new place for you to live before you returned today. The new residence is on the north road, next to the Babylonian Academy of Magic and Strength. Many of the empire's nobles and aristocrats live there. I think even if the 'Shadow Ghost' wanted to run rampant, he would have to think twice before committing any atrocities there.

"Very well, we will leave today. When this old thing is out of the way, I will treat you well!" Phoebe nodded in satisfaction and smiled at Fabian.

"It's an honour to serve you, miss!" Fabian shed tears of joy and gratitude as he bowed, then took out a card and handed it to Han Shuo. "This is our new address, you can come to me if you have any further business. You've saved my life twice, so I'll give you the fairest prices. Mm, give me the crystal card and I'll transfer the seven thousand gold to your account."

When Fabian had transferred the seven thousand gold to Han Shuo's crystal card and Han Shuo had checked that everything was in order, he finally nodded in satisfaction with a slight smile. "Since our business is done, I'll be on my way now. I'll be sure to find you if there's any business to be done in the future. Farewell, both of you!"

"Be careful on your way and make sure that you're not followed by anyone!" Phoebe wore her usual distant expression and suddenly passed on a reminder as Han Shuo was about to leave.

When Han Shuo had left the room, Phoebe finally said angrily in a low voice, "That snobbish lowlife, where did he come from? He grabbed my hand and hugged me, but all he thought about was his gold. He didn't even apologise, dammit!"

"Uh... Miss. You didn't mention this incident either, so I thought it didn't bother you at all!" Fabian smiled embarrassed when he saw Phoebe's face change drastically with Han Shuo's departure.

"Hmph! I am a girl who has been brought up in the courtesies and graces of nobility. How could I bring up this matter first? I get the feeling that this guy is just after money. Not only did he not feel the least bit guilty, he seemed to think I owed him something. What an unbelievably evil person. Phoebe complained angrily, then took a deep breath and asked Fabian through clenched teeth. "Right, this person is also quite strange, where did he come from?"

Fabian shook his head with a wry expression, "I don't know either, only that I met him in the Dark Forest by chance. I paid him two hundred gold coins to save me from the forest trolls. I gave him the address of our guild after he traded with me for the items from the forest trolls. I really don't know anything about him."

"I see. Mm, let me know if he comes to you in the future to do more business. I'll deal with him personally." Phoebe furrowed her brow, thought for a moment, gritted her teeth slightly and left these instructions with Fabian.

"Understood, Miss!" Fabian trustfully agreed.

After leaving Phoebe's place, Han Shuo had made ample preparations to deal with Grover's possible revenge at any time, but perhaps due to the sudden death of the three killers from "Shadow Ghost", Grover hadn't had time to make other plans, and so he not only didn't encounter any revenge movements on his way, but even the guards he had seen earlier had all disappeared without a trace.

However, when Han Shuo walked out of the front door of the Boozt Merchant Guild, the two guards he'd cursed earlier seemed to have been waiting for Han Shuo. When Han Shuo appeared, the two of them looked at each other and directly blocked the door. One of them looked at Han Shuo angrily and asked, "What did you say when you came in?"

"I said that you two are idiots with no eyes. What about that?" Since he knew that these two were on Grover's side, it wouldn't hurt the relationship between him, Fabian, and Phoebe if he beat them up. Han Shuo, of course, cursed them without a second thought, confident in the knowledge that he had solid support.

"Die!"

The two of them shouted angrily and came at Han Shuo directly, waving their fists.

Laughing coldly, Han Shuo's body suddenly lunged forward, arriving in front of them before their blows had landed. His left and right hands pressed down on their chests, activating the 'Mystical Glacial Spellfire' and a faint cloud of purple and red coloured magical air sinking into their chests.

Giving way to a long laugh, Han Shuo had already taken great strides out before they had a chance to react, quickly leaving the Mystical Glacial Spellfire. Although the two clouds of purple and red magical air wouldn't take their lives, it was enough to make them suffer for quite some time.

After leaving the Boozt Merchant Guild, Han Shuo's extraordinary senses allowed him to sense that someone seemed to be following him. Raising his attention to the highest level, he quickly weaved his way through the large streets and small alleys, He kept changing directions, heading towards areas with lots of people.

After a while, when Han Shuo felt that no one was following him, he found a random clothes shop and bought a new set of clothes. He then hired a carriage and set off in the direction of the Academy.
