"I think your feelings for me died," Leonard's words seemed to have surprised Precious when she heard his remarks.
"To be honest, I'm also wondering why Edgar hasn't been in school for a while now. I asked you once or twice but you ignored my question," Leonard's questions were reaching Precious indirectly and she somehow knew where he was going.
"Can I ask you a quick question?"
Precious, still sipping the content in the can, turned slowly to her side to face Leonard who was sitting beside her but there was a satisfied distance between them.
She had stayed quiet for a short moment after Leonard asked after Edgar.
Precious sighed. "Why do you act as if you don't know who I am whenever I'm being bullied by those hotspots?"
Leonard was caught off guard. He didn't know how he was going to answer that question. The question suddenly made him regret bringing Precious close to him for a talk.
