Precious brought Morgan into her arms to help her regain steadiness. While stroking Morgan's hair, she glanced at Chris who appeared to be pleased by how he tormented the mermaid.
Precious glared wickedly at him with the color of her eyes switching for a second. This caused Chris's exhilarated face to turn to that of curiosity.
He walked closer to Edgar's side, aiming to ask him a question pertaining to Precious as her attitude appeared strange. "Did you see that?"
"I'm not surprised," Edgar answered, acknowledging something. Then he thought that if he wanted Precious to reveal her true identity, he had to test her patience as she undoubtedly let the color of her eyes change because she was ferocious
However, he recalled that even when he hurt her father, she didn't show any sign of being tormented to this level. Does it mean that Precious cared more for a mermaid than her father?
