After fixing the floor with some welding magic Kerren decided to to go raid some dungeons again.
Since the guy bought so much from him for such a good price... Why not sell him more?
It's not like he needed that trash anyway.
As such, he departed towards the closest "A" rank dungeon near his store.
It was the only thing he could do now, really.
He couldn't improve his spells because he didn't have sufficient knowledge on hand and he couldn't advance towards acquiring more permits, as he was too weak for it.
As such, the only thing that was at least somewhat plausible was acquiring more finances to buy mana increasers in the future.
Sadly, it was the only way for Kerren to become stronger.
What about skill books, you say? Well, those are useful to Kerren, but dont forget that he didn't like using system skill.
Even if they are great in the beggining... The only way for them to become stronger was to advance the skill level.
Kerren's spells, however? He could change them however he wanted, whenever he wanted!
Of course, if he could have some random level 9 attack skill he wouldn't bother about thinking whether he could advance it on his or not...
But those were too rare for him to even think about. More than that, even if he got such a skill he would think twice if he should sell it or not.
Those could be around 4000kg of A crystals, after all. That sum of money was enormous! If he used every bit of it towards increasing his mana...
Getting 30-40% more maximum mana wasn't a problem.
However, even if he got more mana that would just increase his overall "endurance" and only barely increase his attack potential, as he didn't want to spend too much mana on anything.
After all, if he spent all of it - he would die. He wasn't afraid of dying, but he found in bothersome.
...
Some time later Kerren arived to a nearby dungeon. It was advertised as "Unbreakable" since the current raid that was before it was 6th so far.
That meant that 5 raids before it failed, and most if not all participants died there.
Those dungeon usually got a special marking on the website or the app that Protectors used.
The government even posted bounties on such dungeons from time to time. This one wasn't like that, yet.
To be frank - since Kerren arrived here it will be closed whether those people expect it or not.
However, as he was abuut to talk to the guy who lets people participate in the raid...
- Hey, are you a porter?
Some random "A" ranking protector approached Kerren even before he could start begging to let him in.
- Y-yes, i am..
He pretended to be weak and fragile. He even flinched when the guy first spoke.
- Good -- he then looked at the "listing" guy -- This guy is here with me, just write him in as one of my porters
After saying so he immediately turned around and left towards his team or whoever those people were to him.
Kerren and the listing guy didn't understand what it was. They both looked at each other strangely, but since it already happened - why bother?
Some time later after it happened that guy who took Kerren under his wing started a speech.
It was awful and sounded like a presentantion from a shy guy, he couldn't even make proper sentences as he spoke and frequently paused for long periods of time.
None of the peopel who listened to it dared to point it out. That made Kerren think that whoever this guy is - his position isn't that low.
Those people in his group were far stronger that the guy himself, but they obeyed him without a word?
The only reason behind that could be that he was a son of some influential figure...
And what could be better than a stupid rich boy Kerren could abuse?..
A stupid rich girl that Kerren would abuse in many more ways, that's what.
However, he wasn't planning on doing so... yet.
If he started speaking nonsense here it could bring him some problems as most of the people here were experiences and way better than Kerren in terms of talent.
It wont be a problem for them to notice his scheme.
As such, he waited patiently until the group entered the dungeon completely.
To Kerren's surprise this dungeon was one that he knew!
He already raided it in his previous life!
You might think that it's good, but... why is Kerren afraid?..
Simple, because this dungeon was a cursed place! It was a damn labyrinth that always changed!
Even in the future when people learned how to send information from a closed dungeon it was unbeatable for a long time!
First successful raid of one was 3 or so years before Kerren died for the first time!
Kerren didn't show any fear on his face as he simply prayed to whatever gods there are so that it's just a mistake, and this dungeon isn't what he thinks it is!
However, as the rich & presumably stupid guy started speaking once more Kerren started looking around to confirm whether or not he's right.
It was one of the rare times when Kerren was indeed correct. Sadly, it wasn't the type of things he wanted to be correct in!
Since it indeed was one of the cursed dungeons that are filled with traps and an incredibly long and complicated labyrinth...
He might as well just kill himself right here right now!
There's absolutely no point in him to even try to conquer it, as it was simply wishful thinking for the likes of him!
However, he didn't plan on doing that. He didn't need any food or water, so living here for a month or two wouldn't be a problem even if the rest of the group "accidentaly" died.
As such, he decided to simply vanish from their sights.
Even after 10 or so minutes none of the raiders noticed that he wasn't there, even the guy who took him in forgot about his existence completely!
It wasn't due to a skill or a special characteristic Kerren had, it was just normal sense.
Nobody cared about porters, unless they were your personal ones. Those, however, were usually stronger than you yourself.
