Kerren had zero ideas in his head.
None of his spells worked in the environmet of the dungeon.
Of course, he could see the general outline, but everything else was just a complete mess.
As such, the best he could think of was to simply run at random in hopes of seeing something out of the ordinary.
Did he regret his decision on enter the dungeon?
Not at all. He didn't regret anything he did in his life, and if it was just this little thing?
Who cares? So what if can die because of it?
His main focus was currently on the walls infront of him, not that useless feeling.
It didn't matter what direction he wanted to go, he would always see many more pathways.
Endless corridors. Kerren couldn't even understand the pattern behind them.
After some time he made up a spell that would track his movements, he would map the labyrinth to solve it!
...
After several hours after casting that tracking spell of his Kerren realised that it was... broken, to say the least.
It showed him that the total distance that he passed since the casted it was... zero.
Not exactly zero, but it was really close to being it. Mind it that the spell used meters to count distance.
From the perspective of this spell Kerren was stationary this whole time.
If that was indeed the truth... What could that tell him?
-* Illusion barrier, a dream or a special space...
Those condition weren't limited to the things Kerren thought of, but were most likely them.
As such, he began testing whether or not he was correct.
There were many different methods to see if a place is or is not something.
Illusion, for example. If it was an illusion everything around him was fake, as such - nothing could be gained.
Kerren took a pebble from the ground and ate it.
It did give him just a tiny little bit of mana...
This place was not an illusion, or was too complicated for Kerren.
Well, since it wasn't an illusion there's not much he could do.
He chopped off his own head.
It fell down on the ground and his body dropped moments later.
Nothing was happening for a while, but Kerren was patient.
He wasn't rushing anywhere, and it was quite pleasant to just lie down and chill...
However, as he was about to think: "Well, looks like it's not a special space either..." he felt that mana around him started being active.
It was the first time he saw such a thing. Usually it would move chaotically, but here...
As if a perfect show made by dozens of billions of people was right infront of him.
It wasn't long and ended pretty soon, Kerren didn't move even after it.
He was too busy thinking.
He wouldn't be able to copy what just happened. Even with his semi-perfect mana control it was just... impossible!
It was perfection, he couldn't see a single mistake, it was as if every particle of mana that he was hand it's own mind, and it obeyed someone's command!
He was too busy admiring the sight that he almost forgot that he was inside of the dungeon that might be his grave.
He spent a somewhat long time remembering every part of it, as it was one of the most advanced things he has seen.
Well, it wouldn't be if he could see the Dragon Heart from his previous life, but by the time he opened the roof it was already crystallized.
...
Some time later Kerren was simply walking in the dungeon.
He couldn't get an answer to his question, it was too hard.
Maybe it wasn't, but it's just that he wasn't worthy to answer it...
As he walked there he scratched the wall with his left hand, as if he was marking the place.
It's not something people wouldn't think about normally, but it was completely useless here.
Kerren even thought that his spell was just countered by something, thus the strange results.
However, after some time he noticed that he wasn't actually going in circles.
He felt that this dungeon could be beaten normally, but the method to do so was...
Bizzare, to say the least.
Normally speaking, he could just blow up the whole place, he could damage the walls after all.
But... Why would he do that? It's not like anything stopped him from climbing onto the wall to see the whole labyrinth.
That, however, was pointless. He already did that in the very beginning. Many people did, actually.
They all saw the same thing - endless labyrinth covered in fog.
But people did clear those dungeons, how?
However, it wasn't any pleasant to think about a thing you dont understand even a little.
As such, Kerren decided to simply walk, maybe sooner or later he will find the exit...
It's not like he had to worry about anything, this place had enough mana...
