She again strayed away from camp but this time, she stuck to the edges and kept a lookout. There was something camouflaged - she looked up when there were shouts and she saw people coming out of the forest, carrying someone and they were a mess
"Help! Someone, don't go into the forest! There are werewolves and they attacked us! Help"
The teachers and students went to help and they were chatting all around but she got the gust of it. The students were at the pond when they were ambushed by the wolves too big to be just wolves, they attacked them and left, which no real wolves would do, another reason they had to be werewolves. Could it be that they were looking for her? No, she cloaked herself and the wolves that attacked her are all dead.
The teachers rounded up the students and counted them according to their list and placed everyone on lockdown, they called the ambulance and the authorities. They all would be leaving with them but unfortunately, the authorities would only be able to arrive the next day but the ambulance would be here within two hours. Aurora didn't know the students that got attacked well but saw them in passing, Junaid, David, George, and Johnathan. David was badly bitten but not life-threatening and unless he started getting worse before the ambulance gets here, she won't out herself by healing him. The others just had scrapes and scratches. She wondered where Kane was and why he didn't help. Not like she expected him to but she also didn't expect him to help her. They couldn't stay so separated so the teachers had the closest cabins around the kitchen occupied to their fullest, twelve in each with teachers, boys, and girls together, there goes my privacy... again.
"I know all that have happened has scared you and you want to get away but at this moment, we cannot leave until the authorities get here, we just have one more night to get through. Werewolves hunt in packs so when you see one, inform others and keep away because there will be more, keep the doors and windows locked and try not to panic. We will get through this, keep your phones charged. Those who know medical care, please help if needed" A teacher announced through a microphone.
What the hell? Do they want to inform the wolves of everything? Sure they rogues but they don't know that! And some rogues are intelligent beings.
Everyone is crowding around Xavier. Everyone wants to be in his cabin or closest to his cabin but Aurora just wanted to laugh at the freaked-out look on his face. Gosh what was wrong with her, she like every human fell for his lies. It's not that she fell for him because he was an exotic vampire but she fell for his character, a character he was pretending to be. She wonders when he is going to inform them that he is not a vampire or when they'll find out and what would happen. She couldn't fathom why he would give out such a huge lie like that and how he managed it for so long, at least to those closest to him. She was never close to him to figure it out except on the bus. She waited to be the last to be placed in a cabin as she didn't want to be trampled in the effort to be in Xavier's cabin.
She was sitting alone on the other side of the cabin from the rest of the students but she could still hear them and there was no escape because of the lockdown. She heard howling and a scream, she looked outside but didn't see anything or anyone. Everyone knew to stay inside but she frowned when she saw a teacher step out of the kitchen with a knife to check what was going on then she ran to the door and opened it.
"Get back in! The werewolves are messing with you!" but it was too late... a wolf came out and headed straight for him and she saw two others behind, Aurora had no choice but close and lock the door behind her.
Aurora had no training in fighting with magic, especially since she's been warned away from it her whole life. All she knew was the basic that every witch learns while growing up. There were, of course, covens that did teach magic but even they don't know much. The witch classes teach how to blend as a human and how to use small spells only when necessary in secret. hence the cloaking spells. Magic is instinctive so the most important thing that is taught is to not be surprised or cornered or scared and what to do when we are, so as not to use magic as a weapon. Magic is a tool but it cannot be used without us so we need to be in control. Everyone was taught to fight though, because people and other supernaturals would like to use them to harness their power and it became even more serious when the humans found out about them. Witches kept their secrets to themselves, including what they are and are not capable of, and the speculation mixed with Hollywood's versions of them, both good and bad made them in high demand so even with the world knowing about them, they tried to be kept in secret from those, not in the government. So it was not only stupid but idiotic of her to run out of the cabin and into the crossfire of wolves to save someone who let themselves be fooled into being easy prey. Luckily for her, her savior was there, he attempted to reach for her
"Save him!" she pointed at her teacher who was down with a wolf on him and another at his feet, she saw that he didn't care but before she could scream at him, a wolf jumped her, she panicked and threw out her hand and threw raw power at it and she was surprised to see a ball of light smash into the wolf.
Aurora ran to the teacher and only then did he head towards the teacher and killed the wolf on him, Aurora tried the same thing and called and threw the power at the wolf that just jumped Kane and then fell beside Mr. Steve, the wolf bit his neck and there was another bite on his ankle, these were the most serious.
"Please help me carry him to my cabin," she said in panic but when she looked up, he was not there "damn bastard!" she looked back to her cabin and saw people staring at them, she called them and luckily some teachers came out cautiously.
