[Time skip 1 Week]

Alex had spent most of his time during the grounding period confined to his room, only emerging to have meals. Missy, being observant, had noticed changes in Alex since the incident with his headache some time ago. He had distanced himself from others and even stopped referring to her as his sister since their parents' passing. However, it appeared that he was slowly opening up. Motivated by this, Missy decided to reach out to him.
Missy stood outside Alex's closed door, her worry for her brother growing with each passing day. Alex had been spending most of his time confined to his room ever since he was grounded. He would only emerge to grab his meals before retreating back into his self-imposed isolation. Missy, being observant, had noticed the changes in Alex's behavior ever since the incident with his headache a while back. She could sense his change.
Their already strained bond had suffered since the passing of their parents, with Alex distancing himself from everyone, including Missy. But lately, Missy had started to notice a subtle shift in her brother's demeanor. He seemed to be slowly coming out of his shell. This newfound hope encouraged Missy to reach out to him, to bridge the gap that had grown between them.
It was the last day of Alex's grounding, and as evening approached, Missy mustered the courage to knock on his door. She yearned for an opportunity to connect with him, to understand his experiences, and to offer her support. A mix of anxiety and anticipation washed over her as she knocked, hoping for a response. When she received no answer, disappointment weighed heavy on her heart. However, she was determined not to give up and knocked again, this time with a hint of urgency.
To her relief, the door creaked open, revealing Alex on the other side. Her breath caught in her throat as she observed the changes in him. Alex had noticeably grown taller. While their eye levels used to align, he now stood nearly six feet tall, towering over her. The realization struck her, causing her to pause and take it all in.
Missy was stunned. "Alex... You've... you've grown so much. And you've become muscular too?"
Alex stood in the doorway, books clutched in one hand, his eyes meeting Missy's gaze. There was a flicker of surprise in his expression before he gave a small smile.
Alex replied, "Yeah, I suppose I have. I've been working out, sis."
Seeing Missy still stunned, Alex attempted to lighten the mood with a playful remark, saying, "So sis, what's going on? Do you need me to flex my newfound muscles and scare away any boys bothering you?"
Upon hearing that, Missy burst into laughter. "No, no, nothing like that. I just came to talk. Can I come inside?" she asked, still chuckling.
Alex replied, "Yeah, sure. Come on in."
Missy entered the room and immediately noticed the scattered books on Alex's desk, indicating that he had been engrossed in studying and keeping himself occupied during his time in isolation. Additionally, she spotted some exercise equipment lying around.
Missy remarked, "I see you've been quite busy with your books. What have you been studying?"
Alex replied with a playful tone, "Oh, just some subjects. Trying to boost my IQ to become the perfect combination of brains and muscles. I want to have it all." He chuckled.
Missy laughed along and then shifted the conversation, saying, "That's great to hear. I've noticed some changes in you lately."
Curiosity flickered in Alex's eyes as he asked, "What kind of changes?"
Missy's smile softened as she replied, "Good changes, Alex. I've been observing how you're starting to come out of your shell."
There was a slight shift in Alex's expression, a hint of guardedness. Missy picked up on it but maintained a casual demeanor.
She continued, "I know things haven't been easy for you since Mom passed away. You've distanced yourself from everyone, including me."
"I want to apologize for avoiding you all this time, especially for the way I've been acting towards you," Alex began, his voice filled with sincerity.
Missy reassured him, saying, "You don't have to apologize. We've all been through a lot, and I understand that you needed your space."
Alex nodded, grateful for her understanding.
"I know you've been trying to reach out to me, to be there for me," Alex continued. "And I'm sorry for shutting you out. I was dealing with my own internal struggles, feeling lost and confused. But I realize now that I was wrong."
Missy reached out and placed a comforting hand on Alex's arm.
"Alex, we're family," she said gently. "We've always been there for each other, and that's not going to change. I know you've been going through a lot, and I can only imagine how difficult it has been for you. But remember, I'm here to support you, no matter what."
After spending some time talking, Missy left the room with a sense of contentment, glad to have had a meaningful conversation with Alex. Alex, too, felt a sense of relief. He returned to his studies, picking up where he left off before the conversation.

After Alex finished his dinner, he expressed his intention to visit the library the following day.
"Grandma, I need to go to the library tomorrow," Alex said.
"Of course, dear. The library is a wonderful place to expand your knowledge. Just be sure to return home early," she advised.
Alex reassured her, "Don't worry, Grandma. I'll make sure to be back in time."
Missy, who had been listening, spoke up after a moment of consideration. "You know what? I think I'll tag along. It's been a while since I visited the library too."
A smile crossed Alex's face as he looked at his sister. "Sure, that sounds like a great idea. It'll be nice to have some company."
After that Alex got up and left for his room.
Once he was inside he opened his status window.
