(Y/N) - your name
You were devastated after the funeral. It was a difficult time for you, and you found yourself constantly in your home, feeling lost and unsure of what to do next. Jessy, your close friend, noticed your struggle and became concerned about your mental health considering the past incidents and happenings.
One rainy February day, when you woke up feeling particularly down, you went downstairs and decided to make sandwiches. It was something simple and easy to make, and it was one of the few things that you could gather the energy to do. Cooking has always been a comforting activity for your, and even though you weren't in a good mood, it provided a small distraction and had a soothing effect on your mind.
While eating breakfast, you were thinking about what you should do. You got an idea to go to your dad's company to pick his salary they needed for the month. With all that savings that your mother gave you, you had more 1000$ left.
At 1 pm, you made the choice to dress nicely - wearing a skirt and a shirt - and visit your deceased father's business. While on the way, a noise caught your attention from the rear. Surprisingly, it turned out to be one of those creatures! Fearfully, you let out a shriek and attempted to escape, but ended up falling and injuring your leg severely. Overwhelmed by terror, you could hardly budge. Tears welled up in your eyes, convinced that this was the end. However, Mika suddenly appeared, dressed in his typical vampire attire.
Your wide-opened, shining eyes gazed at him as he ran to slay the monster. He stood before you and the monster, urging you to run, "R-run...". Confused, you began sprinting towards the gun shop. Upon entering, you purchased two excellent firearms with your money. Witnessing Mika's battle against the monster motivated you to shoot it, so that's precisely what you did. You leaped out of the store and dashed towards Mika, your heart racing. "Monster!" you yelled as you aimed the weapon and fired. "(Y/N) NO! Get away from there!" Mika cried out, filled with both anguish and worry.
"You saved me, Mikaela-kun," you said as you pulled out the rope and hurried towards a nearby small cliff. Beneath the cliff, a lake came into view, and your frightened face stared at the water, which was getting closer to the edge. Despite Mika's attempts to stop you, you defiantly leaped off the cliff, gazing into his eyes while shooting the monster.
The monster pursued you with the intent of killing you. Mika followed you, reaching the cliff's edge. He swiftly removed his cloak, took a deep breath in preparation to hold it underwater, and jumped. Meanwhile, you were becoming exhausted from shooting at the monster and securing it to a piece of metal to prevent its escape. When Mika entered the water, he noticed that you were gasping for air and was proud of how you successfully managed to tie the monster. As you struggled to escape the water, the monster was partially dead. However, right after Mika entered the water, you suddenly fainted. He quickly grabbed hold of your waist with his left hand and swam, using his right hand, to rescue both of you from the water. The water was considerably deep, reaching a depth of around 20 meters, causing Mika to gradually feel short of breath. As you emerged, he noticed that his breaths were very slow, and yours were nearly nonexistent. He used both hands to support you until both of you safely made it out of the water.
He placed you on the ground and began administering CPR to revive you. Despite his efforts, you remained unconscious. He persisted and ultimately succeeded! You regained consciousness and saw Mikaela standing before you. Your noses were dangerously close, almost touching. As you opened your eyes wide, they met his, filled with tears.
"Are you alright?" He asked, worried and scared.
"I... I suppose so," You replied, still uncertain about what was going on. Mika was practically draped across you.
"What... what happened?" You asked, confused.
"You jumped off the cliff, and it seems like you struggled to catch your breath when you resurfaced," He responded calmly.
"Oh...uh...thank you for, uh...rescuing me, I suppose," you said, and he smiled in response. "You're welcome. Additionally, there is something I've wanted to tell you for a while, but I haven't been able to find the perfect moment," he said. "Okay, what is it?" you asked, still feeling perplexed about the recent events.
"I...umm..."
"Yees?!"
"...You know, it's nothing. Forget about it! It's not important."
He said with a smile, but you could sense his disappointment because he didn't say what he intended to.
"..Alright then," you replied with a slight smile.
