(Y/N) - Your name
You were shattered, completely and utterly. On your knees, clutching your best friend Yuu, you could barely move from the weight of your sadness and sorrow. It was a heart-wrenching scene to witness. Suddenly, Ferid appeared, fighting a soldier some 15-20 meters away.
"C'mon Mika," he called out, his gaze fixed on you. "It's your turn to kill someone. Just take her out. She can barely move. It'll be easy."
You were taken aback by his unexpected reappearance. Tears streamed down your face as you recognized the voice behind you. Your friends tried to assist but to no avail.
"C'mon, Mikaela," Ferid impatiently urged. "We don't have all day for one person."
With a quick thrust of his sword, Ferid stabbed you, though not as deeply as he had Yuu.
"Okay," you said, resigned to your fate.
Tears streamed down your face uncontrollably, blurring your vision and rendering you unable to see. Ferid had gone off to fight, leaving you alone and devastated.
Sitting on your knees and legs, you felt hopeless. Your friends were battling monsters because of you and your childhood friend had lost his life because of your actions. You had been stabbed by Ferid, and you had no home, no money, and no food. But the most unbearable pain was the knowledge that you had seen the person you loved kill your parents.
"I saw you," you said, your voice shaking with fear but also with a hint of bravery. "I saw how you killed them. You drank their blood as they tried to protect me from you. And now, they're gone. I'm living in abandoned houses because of what you did. I'm a burden to my friends. I should die. So please, Mikaela Hyakuya, kill me. Let me be with my parents and loved ones again."
You pleaded, your heart heavy with sorrow.
He was ashamed of what he has done. A couple of tears were running down his face.
"No, look, ah! I didn't mean to upset you! Please, forgive me!!" You said
"No, i-i deserved that. I just wanted to help you like this so you could run away. But, now when I see that we have similar lives, I want to run away with you" He said with this cute face.
You prayed to God for a moment, then suddenly Mikaela Hyakuya lifted you off the ground and took your right hand, causing you to wonder what was going on. The two of you hurried to a small building, where he motioned for you to be quiet.
"What's happening?" you demanded, your voice tense.
"Shh, just be quiet," he whispered urgently. "I'm going to help you."
He removed his mittens and placed his hands on your stomach, causing you to feel better almost instantly. You were in shock - why was he helping you when he should be trying to kill you?
"What the hell is going on?" you shouted. "Are you just trying to make me feel better so you can kill me later and cause even more pain?!"
Mikaela's face fell. "No, that's not it at all," he explained. "I had a friend, just like you have Yuu. We were trying to escape from prison and everyone else was killed, except for me. I was transformed into a vampire somehow. I didn't want to kill your parents, brother, and sister. They were the only ones around who could give me blood because I was so thirsty. I'm so sorry, and I understand if you can't trust me or believe me."
As he spoke, tears welled up in your eyes. You couldn't bear the thought of losing your family because of someone else's actions.
"You could have killed me," you cried, before slapping him across the face with your right hand. "Why them? Why not me?"
Your voice was shaking with emotion, but at the same time, you felt a strange sense of relief. Finally, someone explained to you what was going on.
You felt your face flush as Mikaela Hyakuya took your hand and suggested that the two of you run away together and live a normal life. You didn't know how to respond, so you simply smiled and followed his lead as the two of you fled the city of Nagoya. Despite your exhaustion, you couldn't help but feel a bit flattered at how much you looked like a couple.
After seven hours of walking, you finally made it out of the city. You still didn't fully trust Mikaela, but you felt safe with him nonetheless - even though he was the one who had killed your family. As you walked, you were pelted by rain, wind, and thunderstorms. Mikaela, for some reason, offered you his cloak, even though you had your own.
"Ah, I see we have the same taste in clothing," he said in a seductive tone, causing you to blush even harder.
You couldn't believe that you might have feelings for a vampire who had killed your family and friends. It seemed impossible, but the more time you spent with him, the more you found yourself drawn to him.
