Chapter 49 - (48)

We were not even far from where we were resting when Camilla pulled me by the arm.

The frown when I look at him

"What?" I asked.

"Wait. I think I heard something." She said

I immediately felt the surroundings.

That's enough.

I hear a crack.

Crackle or footsteps.

After a while, we screamed at the same time. Macey, who was still holding my hand, was just as shocked. Confounded, he held my hand tightly.

In front of us were two large boars.

The teeth are exposed.

The eyes are red.

Macey still clings tightly to me. I felt a mixture of fear and shock in him, especially when he almost squeezed my hand.

I was nervous about swallowing my own saliva.

My heartbeat quickened again.

Ahead of us was Lily, who would have taken the lead in walking because she was lighting the way.

Its retreats are returning to us. He almost tripped when he stepped on a rock he didn't notice behind him.

Both Camillaand Macey, who were behind us, were both speechless.

Abi's phone suddenly dropped.

It made a noise.

Because of that, I felt even more nervous in my chest.

When I looked back at the two raging pig fingers, their reddened eyes became even more pronounced momentarily.

As far as I know, the boar's eyes are not red.

How come their eyes are bright red?

I was about to rub my eyes to make sure I wasn't mistaking what I saw when someone suddenly rushed forward.

"Ah!"

Camilla's loud shout reverberated in the silent forest.

I can't move.

I was just stunned when Camilla fell right in front of me.

Macey is now crying her heart out loud.

None of us could move, until Lily was finally able to reach a boulder at her feet.

Shaking his hands, he threw it at the boar.

Maybe because of the nervousness, the animal's impact was strengthened, so it drowned and was injured.

It howled loudly, which is why we automatically ran again.

I also didn't realize that I had pulled Camilla upright, so now I can lead them both while running.

Macey's holding my hand tightly; the child doesn't seem to want to let go of me.

On the other hand, Camilla's grip is slipping a bit. So I tightened my grip on him.

My eyes narrowed as the moon shone all over Camilla. Her cheek was scratched and bleeding.

Although I wanted to ask him if he was okay, I didn't.

Aside from the fact that it's obvious that she's not okay, I'm busy keeping my pace. I can hear footsteps from behind. I know those two pigs are still chasing us.

I'm still lucky that I wore flats instead of heels.

My hair is blown out and my sweat is dripping.

I realized instead of being able to go back to the resort, we got even more lost. I think we are already in the heart of the jungle.

We were walking under taller trees, and the road was very rough. Many huge tree roots were scattered along our path, so I immediately warned them.

"Beware of the roots." We may fall and be injured!" I shouted a warning to them all.

They hugged me and continued running.

We wandered around some large trees for a few more minutes until I started to get tired. So did my companions.
