Chapter 18 - (17)

My forehead furrowed even more when no one was there.

The elevator finally closed, leaving me confused and nervous about what was happening.

"Miss Aya, Are you sure you're really okay? Maybe you're feeling bad. I'll just tell the boards that you can't attend. I'll take notes of important details for you. "

I cut her supposed suggestion short. "No, I'm fine."

I massaged my temples to calm myself down a bit. "I'll attend." I'm fine." I added to assure her that I'm really fine and capable of attending a meeting.

"Okay." All right, if that's what you want.

"Yeah," I nodded.

I didn't say anything after that.

I suddenly felt strange.

I can't understand why this has been happening these past few days.

Aside from the few times I feel like someone is always looking at me where I can't see, once again it's what I can see or hear.

A few moments later, Camilla tapped me on the shoulder.

We were on the floor where the meeting was to be held.

I didn't realize it because I was deep in thought.

"Come on, Miss Aya."

"Okay."

She guided me out of the elevator.

We also silently walked down the quiet, uncrowded hallway to the conference room.

Because it had just been built and there was no other office or cubicle on the floor.

I just put my thoughts aside and tried to calm myself down. I believe I should act nice in front of the board. I don't want them to think I'm mixing personal problems with work.

It's even more embarrassing because everyone knows I'm the son of the CEO and Vice Chairman.

I don't want to embarrass Daddy and Mommy.

I breathed in and out heavily.

While walking, Camilla just followed behind me. I turned to her and saw that her attention was on the folder. I didn't bother her anymore and just continued walking. I was just carrying my coat; it was hanging on my arm. Even though I wore that far away, I'm also sure I'll be cold later because I heard that some AC has been installed in the new conference room.

As requested by the majority of the board,

I sighed again after putting my coat on.

When I was in front of the door, Camilla walked quickly to open it for me.

I just withdrew my hand when I should have just opened it because he was busy looking at some of the contents of the folder. Maybe that's the agenda."Thank you."

"Come in, Miss Aya."

She made me walk in first.

There was no one else there except a man standing there talking on the phone.

It's just the back, and I already knew that it was my brother.

When he noticed us entering, he glanced at us for a moment. He smiled and continued talking on his phone.

I sat in one of the seats for the audience. On the other hand, Camilla remained standing after placing the folder she was carrying in front of me. "Agenda please."

I was right.

"Thank you."

He answered me with just a smile. I browsed the paper immediately. I still nodded and occasionally frowned at what I was reading.
