I knew it was her right away because she called me first before finally knocking.
"Aya, are you done preparing?"
I turned around to face her.
"Yes, mom. I'm coming out. "
"Alright. We'll have breakfast if you just go downstairs. Your daddy is looking for you. "
"Yes, I'm coming."I look at the mirror one last time to make sure that my hair is properly combed. I also made sure that I wore my office clothes properly, not because I was the daughter of the CEO, that I no longer followed the company's standards. Especially if I can comply with the proper dress code.
I'm wearing a simple beige turtleneck dress under my black coat. It's sleeveless and one inch above the knee. It still passes the dress code, so I'll just remove the overlapping coat later in case I get hot.
The aircon is in good condition, but to make sure I'm not going to get sweaty from the stress, I wore this piece of clothing.
After checking my things, I went down the stairs. Hanging on my left arm is a Louis Vuitton bag that perfectly fits with my outfit.
"Good morning!" I greeted them as soon as I arrived at the dining area.
"Good morning." My brother's response was still drowsy.
I kissed both mom and dad's cheeks before settling down in the allotted chair for me. Some housemates immediately took action to serve me. "It's okay, I can manage." I stopped them.
I quietly poured the juice into the glass and took out the French toast. I'm not satisfied with the little food on my plate. That's why I added fried rice and bacon.
I don't put on weight no matter how much I eat, so it's okay. I don't even have to save myself for that diet.
I'm also sure I'll be hungry later in the office, especially since I don't like to eat while working. When I'm too stressed, sometimes I just buy coffee or milk tea so that I can somehow relax.
I glanced at my brother, who was obviously still drowsy. I don't think he even took a bath because his hair was still messy and his eyes were bulging.
When I could no longer control myself, I asked him.
"Ronald, are you alright?"
He looked at me in surprise and then nodded. "Yup, just sleepy," he replied.
I didn't ask him again and just let him eat quietly.
Dad cleared his throat. He chewed the food for a moment before speaking. "How's your gallery, Aya?" he asked.
I knew he'd ask.
"Everything's going smoothly, dad." I replied.
in the back of my mind. I know how much money was wasted because of the damage that my men caused.
But I didn't have to make a big deal out of it. I shouldn't fire them. Where will they go?
I smiled.
It's a good preparation and arrangement, dad. "You can come later when I open it, so that everything will be fine. I said.
I already know what Mommy will say next.
"Are you sure you don't need our help?"
And I was right. Again, I shook my head and smiled at Daddy before turning my gaze back to Mommy. "Mom, I'm perfectly fine. There's no need for you to always support me.
"Dad." I turned to Daddy for help.
He shrugged and continued eating.
"You and your mommy will talk." He said it with a smile.
