What's weird is his long hair that almost covered his face. He's also wearing round specs that are kind of odd for his outfit. My eyes caught a few letters written on the hard hat he was carrying. I'm aware that it's required for the engineers to put their names on their hats.
I only took one sneaky glance to look at his name. But I only saw the surname.
Lacson
"Who's this?" I asked myself.
My brows raised. I don't remember any Lacson in our list of engineers.
Instead of interfering with the man, I just left him there and shook his head to go out on the ninth floor.
He will take care of his life.
Sometimes we fail to look at the good features of things; instead, we often recognize their weirdness.
That's really the way it is, isn't it?
There are things that really don't happen to be weird to most people, which is sometimes the outcome becomes the epitome of humor and teasing. I shrugged at my own thoughts. Even before the elevator finally closed, I was able to look back one last time. It's as if I need to know who the weird guy next to me was inside a while ago. Or am I just offended when he literally ignored my greetings? And to sum it up, my whole presence. Really?
Doesn't he know me?
If curiosity indeed kills, I might have dropped dead on the spot.
I crossed my arms as I watched the elevator close. Before I could even take my eyes off him, he voluntarily lifted his head.
My brows furrowed.
"Oh, he's wearing headphones." Realization hit me.
Maybe he didn't greet me back because, in the first place, he didn't really hear me saying, "Good morning" to him. I laughed a bit.
I'm just wondering why he didn't notice me. Is he new?
He was not familiar to me even though he was wearing a uniform similar to that of our engineers here. When he was completely out of my sight, I only convinced myself to leave the stand and go where I was supposed to go. I just shrugged the scene off earlier.
What will I gain if I continue to inquire?
"Good morning, Miss Aya!"
"Good morning!"
I smiled back and greeted each employee who turned to me every time I passed their desk.
I caught up with my secretary, who was putting the papers on my desk one by one.
When she noticed my arrival, she immediately lowered the paper he was holding to greet me, "Good morning, Miss Aya." I've fixed the ones you need to sign. Most of them are revised versions of the report, so all you need is a signature and a little review if there's anything else you need to add or fix." I nodded.
"Is there anything else I need to do besides this?" She shook her head, "Nothing, Miss Aya." That's all for now. Do you have anything to do?" "None, thank you for arranging these." I turned around to sit down and started checking the papers that were neatly stacked on my desk.
"You may go." I'll just call you if I need anything else." I added, purposely dismissing her from my office.
"Okay, Miss Aya."
