The night before...
The eyes of the young man took a rest on the item laid on the grass, gaze longing at it.
It was a book. A pink book.
Specifically, a diary.
He had pushed forward at once, eyes registering the letters pasted on the front page.
"Anna" He pronounced.
Taking a look back at that path where the girl had departed into, hoping to find her somewhere, but her form was nowhere in sight.
She was gone.
"Zac?"
He turned to the voice, coming to meet the figure of Valerie approaching him.
"We've been looking for you everywhere" She followed, drawing closer to where he stood.
"What are you doing out here, by the way? The party only got started" Uttered the girl, while she tugged the at his arms, pulling him out the area. Meanwhile, the young man had that item in his hold, tucking it into the pockets of his hands.

• Anna's Bucket list.
- Swim naked in a lake
- Dye my hair blonde
- Watch porn.
- Dance under the rain
- Lose my virginity
- Amend my relationship with father
- Fall in love (For real this time).
The eyes of Zachary skimmed through each line, the levity filling that gaze at each number he passed.
More amused at the content in there, rather than the fact that, that girl he found himself bumping into, every now and then, kept a diary.
No one keeps a diary.
Not anymore.

April 10, 2015.
Dear, diary,
Today, father found me locking lips with Michael.
Now I know what one might think. He probably brushed it off, saying I was grown now and kissing a boy shouldn't be a problem.
No, no, no.
He spat at me, spewing words my way. Saying I was all rotten and corrupt, seeking nothing but uncalled for attention.
The eyes of Zach scanned through the last two lines, eyes rushed with confusion at what was penned there.
Rotten?
That girl never struck him as being a bit of what that word was.
Rotten best described him.
Yes. The word was just fit for who he was, his friends, even that girl whose arms had been wrapped around his torso a fortnight ago, those are the people such word should be on.
Certainly not that girl, who he perceived every bit of innocence off.
How those eyes would gaze on at him, holding on, sure found him amused every now and then.

June 23, 2015.
Dear diary,
Laurie and I snuck out of class today.
Wild, I know.
But we couldn't go resisting the call of Theo and Gabe, while they brought not into the school.
Unbelievable.
And yes, they did smoke it, while Laurie and I remained peeping in, enjoying the sight we found before us.

August 01, 2016.
Dear diary,
Laurie adopted a hamster. It is the cutest thing ever.
Zac flipped through the pages, skimming through its leaves, and finally stopping at the recent entry.

September 21, 2016.
Dear diary,
I met him.
That figure always spoken of in those fairy tale books which filled mother's shelves, except this one wasn't a prince.
A prat, perhaps. The words of Audrey, not mine.
You should know her. She's the one I'm rooming with alongside Hannah Grace.
Those two lovelies who were kind enough to get me familiarized with this school.
Wilbur Bowers is weird don't you think?
I mean they have separate school for the boys and girls, yet bring them together to eat, funny isn't it?
I even came to find out that a lot of kids hookup during social night, but that's some gossip for another day. Back to that strange figure who had managed to captivate me.
Dreamy, if I am to describe him.
With those piercing eyes which did all to get a hold of me, I can only imagine what color they are.
The way his smile crosses his lips, I'm afraid I might have fallen for him, dear.
And yes, I know what you're gonna say, Hannah Grace is head over heels in love with him, that's the hard part, but
maybe, just maybe, that one who goes by the name Zachary Cobain has somehow managed to steal my heart.
The eyes of Zac took a pause at his name, gaze taking in the words over again.
He read through each line not missing a word, beholding all written there.
He smelled like a man....
How was a man supposed to smell? And who was Hannah Grace?
Zachary sure was left jumbled.
One thing that had him most bewildered was the bucket list stuck to the first page of the book, with none of the boxes ticked.
Lose my virginity.
That line had the eyes of the young man narrowed, gaze taking in the next number:
For what reason would she have created a bucket list? That was what left the young man perturbed.
The door bursting open, had at once snatched his attention to the figure proceeding into the room.
That figure pulled to the bed at a corner, and without uttering a word, he plopped on there.
"You reek, Axel" Followed the voice of Zac, with eyes fixed on the boy away.
"Where were you?"
When no response came from the boy, just a groan, and him pulling out the pack of condoms sat in his pockets, the eyes of Zachary rushed with every glee.
"You were getting laid" Followed the comment.
"She's the most beautiful being I've seen, Zac"
Called Axel, a sigh escaping his lips, while those eyes remained staring into space.
"Skin as soft as my sheets, with that silky voice of hers filling my ears" The eyes of Zac remained blank at him, watching the delight that had gotten a hold of his friend.
"Fucking hell, You're in love" Followed the voice.
"You're never in love" Zac made mention.
"It wrecks you. It wrecks us all" He added.
"That's odd coming from someone who knows not a thing about love" Uttered Axel.
"We're not about to tread that path speaking of who knows love and who doesn't" Followed the voice of Zac, eyes onlooking the profile of his friend, whose gaze remained fixed on the ceilings, high lost in thoughts.
"I just might be in love, Zac. I might be" Those were the words that drowned the young man right before he got pulled to sleep.
