Chapter 2: Demons and Angels
Breno closed the book with a sigh. He had read enough to know that this was a true story. He picked up the book, and threw it at the wall with a loud "splat!" He walked over to the window, and looked out at the city of Tuncesh.
It was a sprawling city of stone and wood, nestled in the mountains of northern Eloria. There were no cobblestones or paved roads, just dirt and rocks. Wooden houses were built upon one another, creating a patchwork of color. The people of the city were known for their industrious nature, and they made everything from fine jewels to crude weapons.
Most of the city's buildings were made of stone and wood, though there were some made of glass and even metal. Tuncesh was a city of craftsmen and artists.
Breno was bored. He had lived a luxurious life in the Elven capital of Calave, but he was bored. He wanted excitement, adventure, and something to challenge him. He didn't want to sit around and read novels.
