"Yeah, right now?" I asked, earning a nod from her. I looked over to her family. Zeoticus sighed before speaking up.
"...Yes it's only fair if you want to talk. We can talk about the future of the Gremory family once you both are done." He said with a forced smile. He no doubt shared my fears.
I followed Rias out of the room, and down the hall. We walked for a few minutes before she stopped at a door and opened it. We walked in, and I was introduced to a very well decorated bedroom with a lot of Japanese trinkets and a few anime posters. There was also a bookshelf filled to the brim with lightnovels.
"You're a weeb?" I asked in genuine surprise. I didn't know if this was her bedroom, but why would she bring me to someone else's room to talk?
Rias nearly tripped over herself, before turning back to me. Her face is as red as her hair.
"I-I…yes." She admitted.
I honestly hadn't expected a well organized girl like Rias to be a lover of Japanese culture. So much so that she would delve into the dark hole that is weebism.
"So what did you want to talk about?" I asked, hoping to rip this bandaid off as fast as possible.
Rias paused for a second then gestured to her bed. I followed her direction and sat on her bed. A moment later she sat right next to me.
"...I wanted to thank you." She started, turning to me and giving me a smile. "I didn't want to have this conversation with my family. I wanted to personally thank you for helping me out of the very marriage I have spent my entire life trying to avoid."
"I made a promise, Buchou. Of course I'd keep it." I chuckled, giving her a sheepish smile. I noticed a frown appear on her face briefly before it vanished like it was never there.
"Even still. The fact you would go out of your way to save me. Someone who isn't even from your own pantheon…means a lot." She said, getting a little closer to me.
My eyes widened slightly as I started to realize where this was going.
"It doesn't matter if you're from my pantheon, or not. The fact stands that you, and everyone in the ORC, mean a lot to me. I'd fight for all of you." I said honestly.
Rias gained a warm smile. She reached out and placed her hand on my cheek and started closing in on me. Following her actions I leaned in and our lips met for seconds before we separated.
"I guess technically we're engaged now…but if it's alright with you, can we take things slow?" Rias asked nervously.
Part of me wanted to push her down and take her here and now, but the gentler side of me kicked the fuck out of my forceful side. I brought my lips to her and kissed her softly. Savoring the taste of her mouth for half a minute before pulling back.
"Of course we can, Rias." Her smile grew just a bit wider as we embraced. Her head on my chest.
"Ah shit!" The familiar voice of Issei came from outside the door. Asia, and Issei falling down as they accidently took the door with them.
Rias and I stared at the two of them for a moment before the rest of our clubmates walked into the room. Yuuto had a sheepish smile, Koneko gave a small approving nod, and Akeno was giggling to herself.
"Seems you've finally found a man, Rias." Akeno said in her normal teasing tone.
"Sorry, Buchou. It was Akeno's idea to tail you guys." Yuuto admitted, no doubt hoping to avoid punishment.
"...Sweets god has rizz." Koneko said with a thumbs up.
"You bastard! I was supposed to claim Buchou's delicious breasts! I had dibs!" Issei shouted, although the faint smile on his face told me his true feelings.
"Congratulations, Rias!" Asia cheered.
Both Rias and I stared at the ORC, before looking at each other and laughing. The rest of the club watched us with smiles. Rias stopped laughing and gave the club a smile that didn't reach her eyes.
"I'm doubling your contracts!" She cheered.
Yuuto shivered at the look and upon hearing her words he dropped to the ground in pain.
"What the hell, Buchou!" Issei shouted.
"You ruined our first moment. A moment we would no doubt tell our kids in the future." Rias said with crossed arms. Her terrifying smile was still in place, and it was obvious she was about to start dishing out punishments.
"Kids?" I asked in confusion. "Didn't you want to take things slow?"
Rias completely ignored me as she got up and walked towards her peerage. Her gaze was focused on the smiling Akeno. Crimson aura appeared around her.
"Ufufu, I don't mind doing the contracts, but I don't quite plan on letting you have him all to yourself." Akeno announced as lightning started crackling around her body.
"He's my fiance, I know how you are and I'm warning you just this once. Back off." Rias said as her aura grew even larger.
"Nuh uh. I've already decided to have an affair with sweet Isamu here." Akeno admitted, giggling as her own lightning filled aura grew as large as her king's.
I had long since walked over to the other members, hoping to avoid the splash zone.
"Should…Should we do something?" Issei asked, looking at me.
"Nah, let em fight. Honestly, it's kinda hot." I said shamelessly.
"They could hurt each other." Asia added shyly.
"Don't worry, this happens more than you think. I'm honestly surprised they went so long without having one of their little 'disagreements.'" Yuuto chuckled.
"Lady Rias."
We all turned to the broken down doorway to see Grayfia. Her face as emotionless as ever.
"I don't believe I need to tell you the disadvantages of fighting in your own room. Akeno. It is absolutely unacceptable for a queen to challenge her king. Under no circumstance is this okay."
Akeno turned and bowed to the maid instantly. "My apologies, Grayfia."
I frowned. Was it that easy to get Akeno to back off? Did I just need to put some bass in my voice? Or was it because Grayfia is the Queen of Lucifer?
"Ensure it does not happen again." Grayfia added. The small smile from Akeno guaranteed that it definitely would. "I have come to inform all of you that my king has decided to throw a party in celebration of Lady Rias, and Lord Isamu's newly formed engagement. It will take place tomorrow evening and many of the underworld's devils will be there."
I cocked a brow as I looked at the maid. I know I had a rather impressive introduction to the supernatural world, but why did we have to host an extravagant party? Getting familiarized with the devils didn't sound like such a good idea, and I am not so optimistic to believe that all devils are like Rias.
'[A good assumption on your part. This so called "celebration" will only bring frustration and anguish for you.]' Ddraig said, his tone of voice did not betray his amusement.
'Of course it's going to be a pain in the ass.'
"Is this necessary?" I asked, hoping to get out of this.
Grayfia looked at me with a strange glint in her eye, as if she was expecting me to ask that.
"...No, but my king has never been one to read the room." She said as she rubbed her forehead. "Still he is strong enough to get away with putting everyone in such…uncomfortable situations."
Damn. Stress was pretty much leaking off the silver haired maid as she said those words. Just how long has she had to put up with Lucifer's shit?
"Uncomfortable situations" is an understatement." Rias shuddered.
"Moving on." Grayfia sighed, before regaining her composure and addressing us. "It would be in your best interest to prepare yourself for such an event. Many devils are quite interested in you after all."
My face dropped into a childish pout. I really didn't want to play nice with a bunch of random, malicious, and greedy devils. Not much I can do though, my fate is sealed.
