Kiva's POV.
The moment I wake up, the first thing I do is to once again confirm that last night wasn't a dream. I call Jadon through my mind and he unlike me is a busy man so we talk only for a brief time. But at least that confirms that I wasn't insane nor did I dream up the entire episode last night.
I want to call Skye and tell her everything, but I don't want to disturb her. That crazy Laurius Rein is keeping her too busy. He's overworking her.
It's like now that we are together in the same palace, it's even more hard to see her. Like I miss her more now that she's near me.
After much deliberation, I turn on the TV and once again, I see their faces being displayed on the screen. I can feel the tears sting my eyes. I lift my head and face the ceiling, trying to make sure the tears don't fall. Trying to force them to return back into whatever part of my body they are generating from.
