"Jadon leave us. I believe there are some things I would have to explain to the lady personally." Jonah says and I can see the troubled look on Jadon's face at his father's words.
"Father, I don't think that will be necessary." Jadon quickly says, but the silence that follows his words is a choking one. I have a feeling he isn't the kind of son who usually goes against his father's wishes. And I'm putting him in a tight spot right now.
"K-Kiva," he places his hand over mine and pulls me, "come on, let's_"
"Wait Jadon," I hold onto him and he pauses. "I want to talk to him too." I say and I can instantly see the shock in his gray eyes.
"Kiva, do you have_"
"I know what I'm doing, I'll be fine." I pat the back of his hand gently and his gaze shifts from me to his father for a short second before returning back to me.
"Are you sure?" He asks and I give him an assuring nod. I don't want him to be in any form of trouble with his father.
