KIVA'S POV
Soon after I asked the girls out, Skye comes to see me. She says Laurius released her early today. I'm so glad he did. I get to tell her everything.
"Was my question wrong? Was it wrong for me to ask about his past relationship?" I ask as I lay with my head on her laps and she gently strokes me.
"Kiva, it might have been a sad relationship. Maybe something he doesn't want to remember. You suddenly asking him might have triggered some memories he didn't want to talk about."
"So I was wrong?"
"I didn't say that. I just think you need to give him some time. According to you, this Mila woman happened over a hundred years ago, and from what I've heard, I'm guessing he's not seriously been with anyone since that time. Sharing some things with you might just be a little difficult for him."
