The next morning, I got up and checked my phone. I had texted Alice the names and the year of their passing out and asked to get information about them. She had responded with greetings, contacts and the addresses of the trio's houses. I then contacted Sarah's house's landline. It was picked up by a woman. I greeted her, then introduced myself as a journalist and asked if I could talk to Mrs. Sarah. I was told to wait and the phone was put on hold. I could hear some kids in the background.
After a while, the phone was picked up by a woman, "Hello, Sarah White here. How can I help you?" I introduced myself again, and told her about what I was currently working on. To that she replied that she cannot meet me, as she is too busy today. I replied that she doesn't have to meet today, she can meet anytime this week. She replied, "I am not sure if I will have time. I'll call you, as I want to meet them." I thanked her and then I got off the line.
I spent my time freelancing on the internet, to make some passive income. I completed some content writing, then checked my phone, and I got a text message from her that said that she could meet me tomorrow, at her address, and in the end her address was mentioned. I thanked her again through another message. Then I continued to freelance on different platforms till dusk. After that, I got a call from Alice, and that she wanted to meet me again. I told her about my plans for tomorrow. She replied, "Okay" with a hint of sadness which I didn't miss, and again said sorry to her. After talking for a while, I said goodbye.
The next day, I headed for Sarah's house. I got to the address easily through the maps. I reached the door, rang the bell, and it was answered by Sarah herself. I told who I was through the intercom, and a middle-aged woman came to the door to open it. I was invited into the house and was told to wait in a room.
After a while, Sarah came in with a kid. She was a dark-haired woman in her mid thirties, with a tired face. I welcomed the kid with a smile, but he hid behind her. She said, "He's shy of new people. Well, let's get to business, shall we? I don't have much time, so try to make it as quick as possible." I nodded slightly and gave her the journal and told her to read it. She took it and opened it and started reading it. I said "I met your school friend Mr. Neville Ceaser told me this story. I wanted to get permission if I can post it and if it is correct". After that, I took out the recording and let her listen to it.
She accepted that his story was completely correct, and gave me the green light to post their story by saying, "It doesn't matter anymore, it was all in the past, and by the way, I've got enough things to worry about."
