After breakfast, Mr. Neville started once again, "I remember a boy approaching me to ask if I could play soccer with his team as they were short of players. I was bored from just sitting there and didn't want to disturb Micheal and Sarah. I went to join the game. I don't remember much about the game, but I do remember Micheal called me to go home, but I was so much into the game that I had to ignore him then.
My next memory is that I saw Micheal dozing off on a bench while waiting for me. I woke him up, but after that I don't remember what we talked about, but I'm sure he would've been angry with me for ignoring him at the game. He was like that, he cared too much about his people and things, would rush into the fire to save anyone that was his friend. He was the greatest gem I ever had. And now look at me on my deathbed, and I don't even know where he is right now."
After that, we both had a slight moment of silence, which I broke down and asked, "May I ask why did your friends' circle break?", to which Mr. Neville smiled, "Have some patience. We'll achieve that slowly, or it'll spoil the whole story." I nodded my head, he then asked for a glass of water. I got a bottle of water from my bag.
After taking a sip, he said, "My next memory is of Micheal's room. He was extremely happy because Sarah had given him his address, and asked to meet him the next day and I was happy for him. The next day, I spent my day with those kids from the park playing soccer and Micheal and Sarah spent their day in some restaurant or something. After that I don't remember anything". After that, he stopped for a while.
Then he, after some thought said, "Afterwards, the classroom atmosphere changed. Then one day, I remember Micheal was affected by a common cold and didn't come to school. Sarah kept badgering me about his health. At that time, kids didn't have smartphones. So I asked Sarah to stop asking me as I didn't know myself, and invited her to come with me to his house. That was the first time Sarah and Mrs. Green.
Micheal was too shy to introduce her as his girlfriend, so I introduced her as our classmate and a good friend of ours. Then after a while, I left them alone in his room and went out, making a random excuse. I wanted to let them have some time alone. When I got out, I went to the ground floor, where I saw Mrs. Green waiting. After seeing me, she smiled. She asked directly if that girl (Sarah) was Micheal's girlfriend. To which I responded only with a smile and said goodbye to her and went home".
The door was knocked on by somebody. I opened the door and saw a doctor with a nurse. He had come for a daily check-up. I was asked to leave as it was time for Mr. Neville to rest. After that, I collected my journal, notes and the recorder I had brought. I packed my bag, said goodbye to Mr. Neville and went out. The time had gone up. The Richmond High would have been closed by now, so I decided to head home.
