Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: The real one in charge

In Hills.

The beautiful granite rocks that formed the cave and housed Hills treasures. One would hardly notice the cave housed unique treasures due to its location. Although nice flowers and herbs grow in the entrance of the cave and some around it,they all blossom in their season and the evergreen shrub that spread graciously on the other side, everything is beautiful and wonderfully amazing there.

They surround the huge cave, well arranged and well positioned,in obedience to the queen's order.

They were all hefty and armed.

Nakir approached the cave and sighted the outrageous number of armed warriors protecting the treasures.

He was amazed.

The queen is indeed knowledgeable, but had she thought I would not perform my duty or take it seriously.

It is a shame how she would think so . He thought.

He reached the cave and they denied him entry.

"What business do you have here?"

The commander of the army, Marshall asked.

Nakir stopped and stared into his eyes.

"Do I need to repeat myself to you...he asked nakir.

"Yes. He answered firmly.

"Fine then. What business do you have here?" He asked again.

This is a restricted area and ordinary people cannot be here".

"I am not an ordinary person.I am the protector and the keeper of the treasures. He replied.

"The old tales illustrated snakes as the protector, keeper and the defender of the treasures, they are also known to possess extra ordinary powers and the present keeper is said to have an emerald on his head. So why then do you claim to be the protector? He asked calmly.

"I cannot tell you much. I am nakir, the protector, the keeper and the defender of the treasures. He said firmly.

"Now step aside so I may enter and perform my duty.

"No way. We won't budge. They chorused.

"Please don't force me to harm you all.

"Go away from here young man.You don't have to be funny,I mean seriousness here. Go back home". The commander of the army yelled.

Nakir sneered.

He took a step forward and two guard stretch out their weapons that almost pierced him. That almost pierced nadin's recovering body.

He swiftly hijack them and pinned them up to a rock.

"It is me, the protector. Do not force me to harm you all. He said.

Hot anger burned in his eyes, the flash of the green light showed in his stroked pupil, they noticed it, his irregular pupil as they looked down at him.

He dropped them roughly. But the others didn't stop.

Someone pierced him from behind, blood oozed out and immediately vanished. The wound healed and covered up.

He gasped with his eyes, wide open in disbelief.

Nakir turned to face him ,he raised his right hand and landed it on the man's forehead,a heavy blow.

He dropped like a lifeless body. But still they didn't stop.

Nakir spread his hand a heavy wind blew the warriors in front of him.

He turned to the commander of the army.

"Tell them to stop.

"No I won't. Even though he perceived that Nakir is telling the truth and he's the protector. He didn't want to give in. He wanted to know,he wanted to see how powerful and swift is the protector .

"I won't stop. He muttered.

The queen has denied entry of ordinary people, if I'm asked I shall say that in my defence. After all I'm doing what the queen ordered.

"Fine then". Nakir said and stared deep into eyes ,the green glow shine brightly and every muscle in marshall's body began to twist,he groan in pain.

He was breathing heavily, his eyes red and his muscles ,aching badly.

"Stop! ...he shouted.

" Everyone stop. Hold your peace". He screamed.

Nakir stopped and walked inside the cave.

Marshall rushed to the palace to inform the queen that the protector is back.

***

The commander of the army, Marshall stopped running as he approached the palace. He walked to where the queen sitted.

She noticed the beads of sweat on his temples that went down his face and dropped on the floor.

"Why have you come here".

She asked with curiosity in her eyes.

"Are you not supposed to be standing firm in the treasure house?.

"Yes,your grace. I was standing firm and protecting the treasure when a lad walked towards the treasure house and claimed that he is the protector". He answered.

"A lad you say. How does the lad not know that the treasure house is out of bounds".

"The same I told him...but he insisted on being the protector,he displayed quite an amount of power even I was almost convinced that he's indeed the protector".

"Marshall,in a young man form". She repeated.

"I'm uncertain about this your highness, we tried to stop him but he overpowered us".

"Perhaps you are a disappoinment and of less importance in the army. This you claim is utter rubbish.

The pain of loneliness and the absence of the king surge through her.

"What happened to standing a sacrificial lamb ".

"I revere you to waste your time, your grace. For this which I speak of, it is but true".

He said and bowed his head in reverence to the queen.

"Have you not heard or read about the protectors".

"A fool I would be if I don't know the tales of my fatherland".

"So then how can you say a lad wandered to the treasure house and claimed he is the protector ".

The rest of the army that stood to protect the treasure ran swiftly but stopped as they approached the palace.

They bowed their head before entering.

She raised her right hand a little above her head and they raised their head to face her.

"Is it true?" She asked

"Yes,it is true, your grace. They chorused.

"If what you claim is false".

She opened her eyes wide.

They nodded to show they understand what she implied.

"Very well ".
