"Well, want to try how a ride feels like?"
DIONE'S POV
When Marco asked me that question, I felt excitement.
"Can I?" I also asked him.
"Of course, if you want to." I smiled widely.
"I'll go with you." I hopped heading to Alice. "Alice, I'll go with Marco."
"Yeah, right go." She rolled her eyes. I giggled.
"Now, now, see you at the parfait store." I went back to Marco who is now sitting at his motorcycle. He gave me a spare helmet and I put it on my head.
"Is this right?" I asked him. He nods and adjusts it so that my helmet won't go off. He then guided me where to put my foot and I sat perfectly behind him. He suddenly grabbed both of my hands and guided me to his waist. I was startled by it and immediately took it back.
"Hold on to my waist to you won't fall if I sped up." He said to me. I think I was madly blushing hard. He started and rode off. The wind is quite strong so I held on to his waist tightly because I felt like I will fly off.
"Marco, I think we're flying." I said to him. He laughed. Elijah's car where Alice, Paul and Chloe are right behind us. As I adjusted to the wind, I felt refreshed by it. It's a new feeling. I took a peek from the side and saw a red light. Marco temporarily halted and so was Elijah's car. I turned back and waved at them. I saw Alice's head peeking from the window.
"Are you having fun?" Alice yelled, but enough to hear. I thumbs up and as the green light flashes, I put down my hand and positioned it to Marco's waist. But seriously, Marco's perfume was very calming and a little seductive. I like his perfume. I just noticed it because I was nervous before. I think I am hugging him in this position. At that thought, my face was hot and my heart was pounding.
'Stop with that thought!' I scolded myself.
We shortly arrived at the parfait store. Marco peeks at me by turning only his head.
"Are you okay?" He asked worriedly. I nod a little, my face was buried by his back.
"Let me stay like this for a minute, I feel a little dizzy by the wind." Marco obliged and we waited for the others to go outside the car. When Alice got off, she immediately went to me.
"Are you alright Dione?" Alice worriedly asked. I turned to her but my head is still rested on Marco's back.
"Yeah, just a little dizzy," Alice gently took of the helmet and gives it to Marco. I looked at Marco and saw that he already had taken off his helmet.
"I want to do it again." I told him. Marco smiled.
"Anytime you want." He told me. I giggled and got off the motorcycle. I linked arms with Alice.
"Let's go inside." We walked inside the parfait store. We ordered and took a seat. Alice, Paul, Chloe and Elijah are currently gossiping.
"I'm a little curious. What course and year are you?" I asked Marco.
"Business Management. But I might take law if I want to." He said. "And I'm already at my 3rd year." he added.
"oh? 3rd year and you're a basketball captain?" my eyes widened. He chuckled.
"I proved them wrong in a game match and that's how I became a captain. Too much to my complaint of course" Literally, instead of giving off a boastful response. He spoke in a way that it's not a big deal.
"So, you don't like being the captain?" I asked.
"A love-hate relationship, I sometimes don't want to be a captain because of responsibilities and my dad wants me to observe in our business so I can have an idea of how to run it." He sighed.
"You must have it tough, huh?"
"Anyway, any more questions?" He asked me while locked into my eyes. I averted my eyes because I felt that my cheeks reddened.
"I can ask you questions anytime, right?"
"You can." Alice looked at our direction.
"Hey Marco, I heard that there will be like festival in your school?" Alice asked. Marco nodded.
"Chloe is the one who will handle it." Marco replied. Alice looked at Chloe.
"Festival?" I asked.
"Our school will have a festival after the finals."
"Oh, I'm kind of curious what festival will you show off."
"Don't you also have a festival?" Marco asked, I shook my head.
"Nope, our festival falls in the second semester." I answered.
"Oh"
"Well, are visitors allowed?" I asked.
"Yes, except for the student's party, but if you want to, I can take you as a disguise." I laughed.
"That's no good."
"Well, there's a first for everything." He chuckled. "What are you doing after school tomorrow?"
"Practice badminton, Alice and I decided to participate for the tryouts to maintain our athletic features."
"Can I watch?" He asked.
"I think that's not a problem."
"It's settled then, just text me the address tomorrow"
"Sure." Marco's friends arrived later.
"This is Matthew and Dylan. I haven't officially introduced them to you." Marco introduced.
"I heard a lot about you from Marco." Matthew teased while Dylan seemingly has another motive.
"I'm Dylan. It's a pleasure to meet a beautiful person." He winked. I felt chills down my spine.
"Um, hi." I only waved and silently pushed my chair near Marco's since Dylan was uncomfortably near me.
"Marco, I'm a little uncomfortable with Dylan." I whispered. Marco nonchalantly puts his arms on my chair.
"Go order already. We're already on our second parfait." Marco hinted by his voice. But Dylan didn't seem to get the picture.
"See you in a bit, Dione." Dylan flirtingly said and went to the counter.
"He's creepy." I shuddered.
"I don't even know why he's a friend of mine." He sighed. "Sorry about that."
"It's alright, I understand." I smiled. He looked relieved.
"He might be a flirt, but it has a reason." He murmured. I want to ask about it, but he will think that I'm nosy. It's not his story to tell. Dylan and Matthew went back to our table. Dylan sat beside me. I looked at Marco and he understood.
"Let's switch seats." I sighed in relief and switched seats with him. I was sitting next to him and Elijah.
"What's up? Why did you switch?" He whispered.
"I feel uncomfortable with that Dylan." He looked at Dylan and looked back at me.
"If you feel uncomfortable with him or stalks or try to talk to you. Use me as an excuse. It applies to other guys."
"Thanks. Perks of having a guy best friend privilege." I laughed. Elijah smiled.
It was time for us to go home. Dylan insisted that we should take his car. But Marco brushed him off.
"I'll go with Marco again." I stated. Marco nods and gave me a helmet. Dylan frowned but saw that Marco is helping me adjusting my helmet and understood the situation. I sighed in relief and smiled at Marco.
"Let's go?" He said and hops on his motorcycle. I also followed and hold into him. I just noticed that I could feel his abs. I pursed my lips.
"See you at home, Alice." I said and went off first since Chloe and Paul are still bickering who will be at the front seat. I also waved at Elijah and Matthew already waved back.
"Guide me when we arrive at your village." He told me.
"Okay." And we took our time since I like the wind breeze. So, refreshing! I could also feel that Marco slowed down a little bit so we could enjoy our time together.
