"Yes," Andras explained patiently, "My mother has been asleep for centuries. Rolfe here came to tell me she's awake."
Reqiel's memory was all over the place but he could remember Andras saying he didn't have a mother, but the other wanting to keep such information at that time was understandable.
"Then why aren't we going right away?" His brows furrowed, "Dinner isn't that important."
"You don't know how to fly," Andras said with understanding.
Reqiel shot a quick look at Rolfe and inched closer to Andras to whisper to him. "I sure do, I got better since the last time we met." He immediately tried to defend himself. "You've never even seen me fly."
Andras bit back a smile; he knew well that his true self or the truth about where he was from wasn't going to pose an issue with Reqiel, but he couldn't help but wait on edge for where the Angel would draw the line.
