"There wasn't much blood in the squirrel, I need to get some more." Queen Aria said before she jumped over the park's fence.
A woman jumped in surprise as Queen Aria suddenly landed in front of her. Even though she was shocked, she instantly calmed down once she saw Queen Aria. The woman locked eyes with her and couldn't look away, then she saw Queen Aria approach her. An elegant and confident stride the woman noticed before she even realized she was kneeling.
"What is your name? I want to remember your patronage." Queen Aria said as a group of people started staring.
As if their breath was also taken by the Queen. "My name is Maria." She said with a light Puerto Rican accent as she looked up to Queen Aria, only now seeing the blood stain on her shirt collar.
Maria immediately snapped out of it and tried to get away from her but it was too late as Queen Aria quickly sank her teeth into Maria's throat and crushed it so she couldn't yell, then started drinking her blood. Unfortunately the moment she crushed her throat blood began to squirt and cover Kyle's shirt in blood and those who were just watching quickly snapped out of it and were terrified.
They didn't know what to make of it so they ran away while screaming about a cannibal and calling the ambulance. One of them was smart enough to run to the precinct though Queen Aria immediately left the area as she knew there would be problems if she stayed.
"I need a change of clothes, I can't believe I made a mess. I must've lost my elegance, how terrible.." Queen Aria thought as she got a couple blocks away from the precinct.
Walking with a dried blood stain on her shirt, it almost seemed like a design to people as they could imagine a kid with so much blood on him. However they still had a small feeling in the back of their heads as if they were a dog being suspicious of a human.
"I suppose the best place would be a closed space but I need some cleaner garments first." Queen Aria thought as she walked past a jewelry store.
She quickly backtracked as she noticed the gold jewelry on display. "The gold here is still impure, unfortunately." Queen Aria thought as she walked away disappointingly before seeing a store called "Eloquence." The store had a matching set of suits and dresses on display that caught Queen Aria's attention although they weren't the ones she wanted.
She heard the police car sirens start even though they were still at the precinct and quickly crossed the street to get to the store. There was a bunch of traffic since people were just getting off from work so she didn't have to waste any time waiting for the cars to stop and quickly walked into the store.
Once she entered the store, she was met by a tailor named "Eliot" which was engraved on a nameplate on the left side of his chest and ambient music that came from the hidden speakers .
"Good evening." Tailor Eliot asked as he stared at the blood on her shirt.
"Good evening." Queen Aria walked past him and started looking at all of the dresses and suits.
She glanced over the rows of clothes looking for the color that was right for her since each row was separated by colors. Each color had 3 clothing racks, one for men (Suits), the other Women (Dresses), and one for Kids (both). The colors were numbered depending on which one was closest to the front of the store and starting at 1 was Blue, the 2nd group of clothing racks was red, the third group was purple, the fourth group was White, and the last group was black.
"Do you need any assistance?" Tailor Eliot asked as she was just standing in the front.
"I will tell you if I do." Queen Aria asked as she walked to the last group of clothing racks.
She started looking through the suits first, inspecting every piece of the suits as she hoped to find something that was eye-catching and as she flipped to the fifth piece there was a long robe that went over one of the black suits. It seemed like a cloak as the robe was folded at the ends so it wouldn't touch the floor.
"I wonder what material they made this out of." Queen Aria thought as she pulled the suit off the rack before noticing a stunning black dress.
Although she didn't look at the other dresses, this black seemed like one of the best garments the store held, as the design seemed like something from her home with beautiful ruffles that seemed to coat the floor, there were black roses with a reflective edge seemingly spiraling all over the dress which made it shine as it was wrapped in plastic. The dress also had arm sleeves that covered the top half of her arms as the lower half was meant for whatever type of jewelry they wanted to wear. The breast had black roses stitched into it making it seem like the collar was raised a bit.
"This robe will go great with this dress, I'm only gonna borrow it for a while. I'll try not to get blood on it." Queen Aria thought as she pulled the dress off of the hanger.
"Excuse me but you can't touch anything without paying for it and we only accept Credit Cards so I will need to see your I.D." Tailor Eliot said in a skeptical tone as he continued to stare at the blood on your clothes.
"What is a Credit Card?" Queen Aria asked as she searched her pockets and pulled out the money Henry gave Kyle.
"How old are you?" Tailor Eliot asked in a now confused tone as he slowly started to lose his patience.
"I'm old enough to be your grandmother's great grandmother." Queen Aria said as she held the money in front.
"You look like a teenager not even old enough to be my older brother and what do you mean grandmother, you aren't even a lady-" Just as Tailor Eliot said that last word, Queen Aria's teeth sunk into his throat.
She started drinking his blood immediately so nothing could spill onto the dress she picked out. Tailor Eliot wasn't even given a chance to yell as she crushed his windpipe with her teeth, he died from suffocation as she was drinking his blood.
"Could've just taken the money, there was no need to be annoyed, I was even gonna bring it back." Queen Aria said as she walked to the dressing room that was next to the counter.]
The store itself seemed to be calm as the ambient music in the background slowly lifted the very apparent silence that filled the room.
*Ding Ding* The door's bell ranged as a smiling couple walked into the store looking for a matching set.
"Looks like the tailor is in the back." The man said as they were used to being greeted by a tailor whenever they shopped here.
"That's fine, come on it's almost time for it to close so let's hurry up and find something." The woman said as she started pulling him towards the white suits and dresses.
Queen Aria heard them from the dressing room but paid them no mind as she already finished putting on the dress, she added the robe on top which made it look like a cloak. Although she was walking around with nothing on her feet. Queen Aria calmly walked towards the store's exit as she watched them move to the black suits and dresses.
"AHHHHHHH." Just as she left the store a toe curling scream was heard coming from the woman as they found the dead body of Eliot, their own tailor.
"Call the police or ambulance…. Who do we call?!" The man panicked as Queen Aria walked past them on the other side of the window although they were barely able to see each other as there were displays blocking the view of the inside.
"I probably won't be able to bring this back." Queen Aria said as she noticed there were multiple people staring out of shock from the scream.
Queen Aria quickly got out of the area while carrying the same clothes Kyle was wearing earlier, knowing she couldn't just leave them there. She took them with her so she could find a place to dump them, or burn them. However as she passed each lamp, the roses reflected the light brightly making her seem like a fairy, pushing through people, only slowing every once in a while to drink the blood of someone. She nearly forgot to throw away the clothes as she was having the time of life.
"If only I was actually free, I can't keep his body forever though." Queen Aria thought as she stopped in front of a tall apartment building. "How far am I from the precinct?" she thought again as she heard multiple sirens in the distance. Like they were coming from directions, she broke into the building and went towards a door with no lock on it.
Which was the staircase. It looked as if it was never ending, however there was a gap in the middle of the staircase that was more than big enough for me to get through. So she started using the railings to get to the top.
"Ugh, I couldn't find a damn thing today. I'm going to be fired soon, I could tell the boss is getting tired of me showing up empty hand-" Trevor said depressingly as he sat on the 10th floor's stairs with his camera before a large gust of wind suddenly pushed him back.
*Creeeaak* *SLAM* The door on the roof was slammed shut soon after which quickly starved his curiosity.
"This is a beautiful city. The abundance of elements is lacking but the blood isn't. This is the perfect pace for my grandchild, this will only make him stronger." Queen Aria said as she took in New York's nightly presence and illumination.
*creeak* She heard the door to the roof slowly open and someones ragged breathing.
It was Trevor and he let his curiosity get the better of him as he stared at the silhouette of the man from the first night.
