Troy leaned over Lucien's bed, his eyes wide with disbelief. "You got stabbed? How in the world did you manage that?" he exclaimed, a mix of both concern and amusement in his voice.
Lucien winced as the doctor tended to his wound, his shirt removed to expose the injury. The doctor's steady hands worked diligently, cleansing and dressing the wound with care. He'd assured Lucien that it wasn't a deep wound, and it didn't appear to be infected, so it wasn't something to worry too much about, besides the blood loss.
As the doctor tended to Lucien, Blaise stood by Lucien's side, his expression guarded.
"Seriously," Troy continued, stifling a laugh. "What the hell happened? You're always so… reasonable!"
Blaise, speaking on behalf of Lucien, replied to his brother with a hint of sarcasm, "Oh, you know our wild Lucien. Got into a little scuffle with a drunk guy, probably over some girl or something."
