There were so many reasons why Shawn didn't want Kathleen to know about his sickness.
"She is very angry and disappointed in me because of the way I handled the situation back then."
"Come to think of it," Steffan drowned the rest of his coffee. "You never told me how you handled the situation, because if it's just a case of being set up, you've found out the truth and she should be grateful to you that you have been able to prove her innocence."
Shawn bowed his head and exhaled deeply.
"Back then, I didn't give her any room to explain or prove her innocence but outrightly demanded for a divorce."
"What? You never told me that," complained Steffan. "Is that why you've not been able to get over her supposed death? I get it now."
He nodded his head in understanding. "You felt you pushed her to her death and have been living in guilt all these while." Steffan analyzed.
