Chapter 13 - 13. THE HISTORY OF MOTHER SYSTEM

"Dad! A-Are you hurt anywhere??" Edda asked with a concerned expression.

The father figure, now officially known as Zachery, grinned and brushed her hair, saying, "No, I'm fine." Zachery muttered, rubbing his dark eyes.

Suddenly, Zachery again checked his phone.

18th July. This was the most important date for Zachery.

This day was Edda's birthday.

Zachery gazed at his daughter, Edda, who had a concerned but overall cheerful expression on her face.

The Mother System entered Zachery's universe on July 19th, and the entire Kelion was flipped upside down.

19th July was the day when Kelion was integrated into The Axis.

The entire process had resulted in significant casualties for Kelion as a whole, and by the time Kelion's authoritative individuals constructed a semblance of governance in The Axis, it was too late.

Because of their enforced state, their sorrow for their lost ones and the hollowness in their souls were filled with hatred and wrath towards the Mother System, but when the Mother System informed them that they had nearly avoided an extinction-level tragedy with the help of Mother System.

All were brought back into the line.

Many worlds were unaware, but the entire Omniverse was battling for their survival in a United Front against the Beigns who desired them to perish.

This was not a typical warfare in which diplomacy or negotiations might take place at any level.

The other side wished to end the other.

It was as simple as that.

One side is the 'Natives'-Beings that was... well, not 'out of the norm'. for example Humans, Elves, Dragons, Hydra, etc.

Even if the latter species were more 'fantastical' in character, they were within the sphere of reality, and even if these entities participated in conflicts or had some opposing beliefs and perspectives among themselves, these could be resolved if they were not too radical or psychotic.

But the other side was beyond the ways of normal.

Dimensional Beings stood on the other side. Beings beyond common sense could handle. Beings that exist beyond time and space.

Instantaneous birth, unending manpower, genetic absorbing ability, and so on were only perks of these beings with infinite might to destroy the Omniverse.

Dimensional Beings included Demons, Collectives, Devourers, Dengox, Monsters in the literal sense, and more.

When The Axis of Genesis first began, there were only Devoures and Demons who were viciously assaulted by the Mother System's combined effort.

Initially, the natives were on the winning side with the support of the Mother System against the two Dimensional Races, but a first defeat against the 'natives' drew too much attention to The Axis of Genesis.

Just as the Natives formed a united front, the Dimensional Races formed a United Front for themselves!

Even though races like Demons and Devoures had been kicked out of numerous Worlds, they were always sure that they were superior when they, as a race, then came together to face the natives as a whole.

But they were ruthlessly slapped awake.

They brought another Dimensional Race, Demons because a single terrifying Dimensional Race like Devourers wasn't enough. Even that had failed as they both were kicked out of The Axis of Genisis, that had been enough to pique the interest of other Dimensional Races.

And that was how a new Epoch had started.

Every Dimensional Race drew forces from several Worlds and poured everything they had into annihilating The Axis.

Each Dimensional Beings raised their strength from the destruction of Worlds. They craved annihilation, and that was why they were viruses of Omniverse.

The pouring of unlimited Dimensional Beings' manpower against the somewhat finite Omniverse manpower was too much for the fledgling civilization... or so everyone thought.

Numerical advantages were clearly ineffective against Immortals who could split worlds in half with Sword Qi, Divine Mages who could fling spells that even the legendary spell Armageddon could not match, and Superheros... who could snap half the existence of Dimensional Beings away... in the name of Balance, of course!

The sacrifice for... balance exposed the Dimensional Beings' fatal flaw. The Dimensional Beings had suffered far too much numerical damage at the hands of Mother Sytem's elites.

However, the Dimensional Beings were endless since they had their own personal domain with infinite manpower, but the opposite was happening.

The Dimensional Being's wrath waned significantly as the number of their army attacking The Axis shrank to unthinkable proportions.

That was when the brightest minds of the Mother System got together and formed a hypothesis.

The Dimension from whence the Dimensional Beigns originate had been weakened. As a result, people may reach a quick conclusion. Those creatures came from a Dimension that was like a semi-infinite battery!

The revolutionary discovery resulted in the rise of the Mother System and its Axis. As both sides reached a deadlock, The Mother System slowly but surely repelled the Dimensional Beings.

For the first time in the Omniverse's eons, the whole Native population pushed back the Dimensional Beings United Front.

The Dimensional Beings, on the other hand, mocked at their efforts as they retreated, licking their wounds and waiting for the Natives to start fighting among themselves.

That was how all Natives were. Their swords turned against each other the moment they realized the immediate threat had been neutralized.

But this was where this novel was different from others. Mother System came up with a solution. Where other Systems tried to establish a United Front of Natives against the Dimensional Beings, they failed to handle what came after that.

Mother System came up with a solution at just the right time to allow the infighting to continue without effectively weakening the Native's side.

And that was how the Era of Lords came to be.
