The three eyes locked upon Zahcery's body in an intense and bloodcurdling stare. It was too much for a mortal, so Zachery crumbled in the face of the towering strain, and a thin trail of blood escaped from his nostril, which he immediately wiped away.
But, before the pressure could have a greater impact on Zachery, Corneilus, and Alecna surrounded him with their aura, which worked as a protective layer.
Zachery heaved a sigh of relief when he saw that both of them were acting on his behalf. The three eyes that were staring with rapt concentration instantly took Zachery's attention.
"Stop with these atrocities!" Alecna's voice thundered throughout the hall of gloom as the owners of the three eyes came to light.
One pair of eyes belonged to a slender figure with blue skin, no mouth, and an appearance of a brutish woman in general.
Her azure skin concealed athletic muscles that optimized for speed above force. She had darker blue veins that ran throughout her entire body and could be seen with the naked eye.
Her hair was pitch black and cascaded down to her feet. Her hair seemed more like the wild mane of a lion, giving her a feral appearance.
The other single-eyed person has the same genetic makeup as the slender one, but Zachery suspected that the single-eyed person was the male form of the prior entity.
A bigger chest and over-bulging biceps couldn't hide the stereotype that grew inside human minds. Well, much of the genetic makeup followed the human logic, the remaining were... well, 'special'.
When the weird duo saw Alecna and Cornelius, their bloodlust subsided a little. Their focus rapidly shifted from Alecna and Cornelius to Zachery. They were filled with optimism and anguish as they looked at him.
""We are absolutely sorry for our wrongs in front of you, Grodos,"" They both iterated fervently as they buckled their legs, only to slightly shake the castle, earning Cornelius a grumble about revitalizing the castle.
Zachery deduced that Grodos was most likely what King signified in their cultural milieu. There were so many civilizations on the Axis that they all used different titles to allude to their revered ones.
Chieftain, King, Emperor, Zenperor, Sovnar, and numerous additional titles could be found in various parts of the Axis. As a result, Zachery was already familiar with the whole thing.
Zachery gazed down as he saw both of them bowing down; the mere presence of both of them was too much for the current Zachery to bear. He was now standing due to the dual protection of Cornelius and Alecna.
"Bot o' you, lads. take back dat blasted appearance and tahne down de pressure!!" Cornelius yelled angrily as he glanced at each of them. They were both enormous assets, but also a huge threat if not handled wisely.
He only hoped that the current heir would be able to subdue both Zenors.
Zachery gazed at the one big-eyed and two normal-eyed individuals who were communicating, most likely telepathically. They nodded to each other as steam slowly rose from their muscles, changing their rippling muscles and skin into a less ferocious aspect.
Both had two eyes and a mouth in this configuration, which was more acceptable to normal perception. Both species' skin was darker in tone, and their skin glistened brilliantly, making even the most gorgeous models green with jealousy.
Their leather armor was discarded after the steamy metamorphosis, as they both wore Egyptian Gods and goddesses' outfits that rivaled even Alecna's exceptional attractiveness.
When Zachery saw the woman who had just turned, he gulped. Her allure was so strong that even Zachery muttered a Buddhist mantra in his head over and over to avoid an unpleasant situation with her male counterpart.
If he were the husband, he'd be screwed, but if he were her brother, he'd be skewered; the guy's hair even appeared sharper than a porcupine's quill.
Zachery calmed his tumultuous heart with the Buddha chant as he went into his normal mode.
Zachery thanked the Shaolin temple for taking him in when he was on the verge of death, and at the same time snickered at the hypocritical expressions of all those old fogeys who did the opposite of what their religion instructed.
But this was unavoidable; multiple religions with a united front were only a conduit for the truly powerful to carry out their conquest of the Mother System.
Zachery was an atheist, but when he met a Demi-God, it was difficult for him to maintain his former perspective.
Despite the fact that he had proven the existence of Gods, he had no faith in any religion because they were not even remotely trustworthy to rely on. These cretins had no morals or ethics, and believing in them was akin to signing a slave contract.
Sleeping with your sister, why not?
Sleeping with your own mother, now that's a must!
They were sick 'ducks' that had no care for their followers.
So Zachery was resolved not to follow any God until he discovered the genuine God who created all that existed now, in the ruins of one expedition that Zachery had conducted.
He was dubbed The One, which Zachery had no idea what that meant, but the table Zachery discovered revealed most of the information about who and what The One is.
He wasn't a fervent believer, but he frequently prayed to The One before embarking on a raid or mission.
Zachery shook his head, looking at the two entities that stared at him with reverence and... ridicule?
"Where is the Inheritance?" One sentence, but one sentence was enough to erupt an immense aura from the both of them.
"Control your aura, both of you!" Alecna came to the rescue once again as she gave a stern scolding to both of them.
"We're sorry, Grodos, but we've been locked here for so long that we've forgotten how to control our bodies perfectly. We apologize for our carelessness and for the future ineptitude we will cause." The female counterpart said with a sly smirk, her stare on Zachery sending chills down his spine.
"Blasphemous! Helios! Auset! Our master preserved you blithering animals because you had a tiny amount of potential, but now you think you can cross my maste-" Corenilus' face was red as a tomato, like a grumpy old man, as he began to yell, but Zachery put his palms up to stop Cornelius.
Zachery was well-versed in dealing with individuals like this. Even though she was apologizing to Zachery, she had thrown a few digs at him for his frailty. Zachery would not let that go undetected; he had dealt with guys like these before and knew precisely what to do.
And pressuring them with higher power wasn't one of them.
Zachery took slow strides forward as he approached Auset, the feminine counterpart. Despite the fact that her beauty was enough to fool mortals, Zachery was an induvial who had made a mark in Mother System, however small that was.
He had his pride too.
