"Bring me a monster core!" Zachery declared abruptly, leaving many in the royal room perplexed.
Mutant Warriors gained strength primarily through the use of a monster core. Monster cores contained the slain monster's will, which could be used to produce or grow Mutant Warriors.
Despite the fact that monster blood had the same effect. Monster cores were the most effective at growing the ranks of Mutant Warriors.
Zachery noticed his servants running off to get him a Monster core. They brought the monster core from the national treasury and gave it to Zachery with a respectful bow. He examined it with his will to see which creature was living in this center. He was immediately startled by a violent roar from within the core.
'It's the blood demon core,' Blood demons were monsters who could manipulate blood by turning it into arrows. They were physically weak, but when organized into an army, they would form a terrifying archer unit with incredible piercing power.
Zachery nodded, lifting the crimson-colored monster core and showing it to his superiors. "All of you should have known from that murderous roar that this core belonged to the blood demon, right?"
Zachery's gaze swept the room and everyone nodded in agreement as he finished his sentence. Zachery was pleased as he lightly hurled the core aloft and covered it with his aura.
The red core began spinning, producing a piercing sound as it did so.
Everyone's face was pale as they peered at their ruler as if he were insane. Everyone understood that integrating a beast spirit of a different species than your own would almost certainly result in a conflict.
And that conflict would result in inside injuries, and thus their unavoidable death. Nessa's face flushed as he witnessed Zachery absorb a demonic beast that was not even related to his spirit beast!
Is he serious about making me a widow?
But no one made a sound or even dared to breathe, because focus was one of the most important criteria for a successful breakthrough.
The anticipated scene of the blood demon rebelling or his own spirit beast becoming angry, however, did not occur. The torque of the core spun faster and faster, while the core trembled.
It felt as though something deep within the core was trying to escape but was being stopped by something higher.
Every Mutant Warrior had an energy core inside their body in which they stored the energy they needed to use their fake aura. In Zachery's situation, as the monster's core spun faster and faster, the energy core in his body became more and more energized.
His aura got increasingly golden, and the keen aura that the golden aura conveyed became increasingly sharp.
Zachery clenched his hand as the mist-like energy floating inside his center became thicker and thicker.
As Zachery's golden eyes shone with power, the crimson core burst apart with a clench.
[Physical Aptitude: 25-->26]
[All Resistance: 25-->26]
[Energy of Origin: 25-->26]
[Spirit:- 25-->27]
He had officially reached Rank 2 of the Mutant Warriors Power System. Zachery smiled as he observed his officials' and Nessa's stunned looks.
Right now, without the Man-Spirit Union Technique, his stats looked like this...
[Physical Aptitude: 15-->18]
[All Resistance: 16-->19]
[Energy of Origin: 15-->18]
[Spirit:- 15-->18]
This was a standard Rank 2 Mutant Warrior stat. Zachery also verified his stats with the Man-Spirit Union, but his stat did not rise to Rank 4.
That was, however, usual. He was currently at a superior Rank of F, and it was not simple for him to break through into the rank of D. Zachery predicted that when he reached Rank 4, he would receive a three-rank jump in the mutant system.
His foundations were probably not strong enough, which is why his strength did not rise over one rank. He'd probably condense his foundation with another number of Monster cores and the blood of various monsters, and it'd definitely break through onto the <
Zachery smiled as he glanced at his soldiers. "All four of you, do you trust me enough to hand me your life?" Zachery asked his commanders because he saw them as close allies, but what he didn't expect happened unexpectedly.
"I am far too willing to put my life in the hands of Your Majesty! Your Highness," Arthur replied abruptly as his voice boomed inside the throne room. For a brief minute, his voice sucked the brightness out of the room.
"How dare you speak that loudly in front of his Maj-" Brighton was concerned that if Arthur shouted out loudly in the royal room, his Majesty would react violently. Raising your voice inside the throne room was almost like a challenge to the throne.
Brighton was Arthur's master, and he realised how naive and innocent the youngster was once he got to know him. It was just that his circumstances made everyone look at him differently. In other terms, he was his majesty's stand-in.
Both parties would inevitably have some thoughts, and paranoia and ambition were unavoidable in this situation. That preconceived picture was shattered when Brighton became Arthur's master.
The kid was too naïve for his own good, and Brighton knew he didn't have a single ounce of ambition in him. His mind was always on assisting those in need.
So he couldn't take the thought of the emperor punishing him for such a little transgression. Arthur yelled because he was frustrated by his isolation and his brother's guarded attitude towards him.
Zachery was taken aback but smiled and raised his hands to stop Brighton from speaking. But a bloodlust from his back caused him to grimace; it appeared that Nessa had not enjoyed Arthur's outburst.
She was constantly on the lookout for issues that Alexander would encounter as Emperor. She even had her own personal information network, which she supported entirely through her successful business.
In sum, she was so hopelessly in love with Alexander that she couldn't even endure this minor offense!
Especially because she had been completely worthless on previous occasions.
