When Zachery reached the end of the corridor, he noticed many statues of roaring dragons. The artistry was so elaborate and precise that it appeared as though these dragons were real.
He came to the end of his walk when he observed a man banging a rusted sword with great attention and determination. He was hammering the rusted sword like the world was going to end, and this was about to be his last craft.
His head twisted oddly as he looked at the intruder who had entered his domain without notifying the defense mechanisms that he had set up with blood and sweat.
His brown and golden eyes examined Zahcery as if he were some exotic meat that just arrived on his plate.
"A breach into de Hinthara without alerting my defense mechanisms. Now, I have somet'eng interesting 'ere, aye," The man murmured, and as he finished his comment, and the entire place began to quake as several statues moved around.
Dragons, titans, and giants surrounded Zachery, whereas the man had his golden eye gleaming with an incredible golden luster.
Zachery gulped his saliva as he stared at the monstrosities who treated him like an ordinary ant.
Zachery had really no idea he would be greeted with such passion.
The guy folded his golden-plated arms as he sent his divine sense within the mortal who had intruded into the Sacred Hinthara. But it also suggested that this Mortal had something peculiar about him that had allowed him to infiltrate the palace.
If this was the person his majesty had promised, he smirked to himself as he quickly shattered any hope that had sprung in his head. Unnecessary hope would inevitably lead to a mental breakdown, and he was already exhausted by the long wait.
His majesty had finished her design for the legacy that had made him the 'Administrator' of the palace eons ago. He had waited much too long for the replacement to arrive but to no use.
Despite the fact that spies from other factions had nearly vanished after the Inheritance was completed. It seemed more reasonable to assume that the mortal was a spy than a successor.
"Hmm?" The divine sense flowed over Zachery briefly as it examined the entire palace, making the guy scowl. This mortal had come by himself; either he was a fool or he was brave. There was another possibility, but the man was not even thinking about it.
No, he was avoiding that option.
Because his heart was rekindling like his anvil. His fist clinched so tightly that it produced a grating sound, and sparks flew across his golden metal palms as a fanatical grin crept on his face, which he tried oh so hard to control.
"You are the only one intruding into this place? Is that bravery I smell, or foolishness?"
"You are de only wan intruding into this place? Is dat bravery I smell, hr foolishness?"
"It's neither, it's Death you smell," Zachery cringed deeply on the inside but kept it hidden on the outside, assuming a proud demeanor, and looked the Old man in the eye as if he were some rich young master.
Zachery genuinely wanted to say, 'Old guy, it's neither, it's the beer you smell from my beard' but his brain had made him cautious towards this old man because he was a person with great power inside him.
The 'Old man' sent his divine sense inside Zachery as if he was looking for something, and the sense came to a halt when it reached the black ball inside Zachery. The divine sense engulfed the black ball and studied it from every angle.
After a minute of thoroughly inspecting the black ball, the divine sense vanished, leaving the 'Old guy' shocked, uneasy, sobbing, and laughing.
The guy was also shouting 'Death descended' from time to time as he looked at Zachery
When Zachery observed the old man crying and laughing like crazy for no apparent reason, he stood there with a deadpan face, making the moment awkward and comical.
This was the moment he realized Alexa's actual worth. When it came to situations like this, Alexa was the one who would try to diffuse the situation. He closed his eyes and vowed in his heart that the next time he came here, he would bring Alexa along with him.
Zachery sighed inwardly as he...
GULP
'What the duck is happening here!!!!' A... woman (I think) stood next to Zachery. But there was one problem: this person had no concept of personal space. She was baring down on Zahcery's neck while... erratically sniffing Zachery.
Zachery gulped his saliva, hoping he wouldn't be placed within a novel with a Yandere tag! But it was too late for him to file a complaint with the author!
The sniffing lady drew back her head as her gaze bore down on Zachery like a hawk looking at its prey.
The lady was at least 9 feet tall and dressed elegantly in a black gown that adorned her like a princess... No, like a Queen.
Her horns protruded from either side of her like Hades Bident. Her hands and long neck were coated in beautiful shimmering black scales. Two lines of scales appeared on both of her cheeks, adding to her aura of nobility.
But it was her eyes that set her apart. Her sclera was pitch black, like a black hole, yet her iris shone heavenly white, making her eyes nearly hypnotic.
Her physique was also without a doubt picture-perfect. Her entire physique had something about it that made it appear like a forbidden fruit that you wanted to bite into.
Zachery gulped as she gazed at her towering but enticing form, not because of her enchantment, but because of the immense pressure Zachery felt just being near her.
When she stared at Zachery, her face seemed devoid of emotion. yet then her lips curled into an enticing and coquettish smile that made Zachery's spine tingle, yet the next words she uttered made his scalp cold sweat.
"You are staying here forever with me."
