Chapter 30 - Chapter 30

It had been several months since Alpha Joseph expelled Lisa from his pack. Despite his decision, Lisa persisted in trying to make amends. She would call, text and email Joseph daily, begging for his forgiveness and for a chance to return to the pack.

At first, Joseph ignored her pleas, but eventually, he accepted her apologies. However, he was firm in his decision that Lisa would not be returning to the pack. She was not a good fit, and her actions had harmed the pack too much. He simply couldn't risk having her around again.

Joseph couldn't help but feel that Lisa was too unpredictable. He had seen how she had used a love spell on him, which had ultimately backfired, causing chaos and division within the pack. He couldn't risk something like that happening again.

Despite his rejection, Lisa persisted. She would continue to contact Joseph, hoping that he would eventually change his mind. Joseph, however, remained firm in his decision. He had to put the safety and stability of his pack above all else.

After several weeks of turmoil caused by Lisa's love spell, things had finally settled down at the pack. Everyone who had been affected by the spell had fully recovered, and life at the pack had returned to normal. Joseph, the Alpha, had resumed his search for Elena and was determined to find her soon.

Joseph was beyond frustrated. It had been months since he started his search for Elena and he had nothing to show for. The last place she had gone was the council, but they had been tight-lipped about her whereabouts, frustrating him to no end.

He had tried to reason with them, begged and pleaded, but they refused to tell him anything. It was as if they had something to hide. He knew that they were a powerful and influential group, and he couldn't help but feel like they were somehow involved in Elena's disappearance.

Finally, Joseph decided that enough was enough. He was going to visit the council personally and demand answers. He didn't care about their status or their power; he just wanted to find Elena, he needed to know if she was his mate .

As he arrived at the council's grand hall, Joseph was met with several council members who looked at him with disdain. He ignored their hostility and went straight to the point.

"Where is Elena?" Joseph demanded, his voice filled with anger.

The council members exchanged glances, clearly uncomfortable with his question. One of them spoke up, "We have no idea, Alpha Joseph. Elena left the council on her own accord, and we have not heard from her since."

Joseph knew they were lying, and he didn't have the patience for their games. "I don't believe you. You know where she is, and you're not telling me. Why are you doing this? What's going on?"

The council members remained silent, their expressions unreadable. Joseph's anger grew, and he was about to lose his temper when a voice spoke up from behind him.

"Alpha Joseph, please calm down."

Joseph turned to see Oreno, one of the council members and a close ally of his late father. He respected Oreno, but at that moment, he didn't feel like being placated.

"I'm sorry, Oreno, but I've had enough of this. I need to find Elena, and the council is not helping me. What am I supposed to do?"

Oreno sighed and shook his head. "I'm sorry, Alpha Joseph, but we don't have any information to share about that."

Joseph's jaw tightened. "You must know something. She was last seen here, with the council."

"I assure you, we've done everything in our power to find her," Oreno said, trying to placate him. "But perhaps, instead of focusing on someone who may not even want to be found, you should consider other options."

"What do you mean?" Joseph asked, suspicious.

"Well, you're not getting any younger, Alpha," Oreno said bluntly. "And your pack needs an heir. Perhaps it's time for you to participate in the mating games and find a suitable mate."

Joseph bristled at the suggestion. "I don't have time for that. My priority is finding Elena."

"But how long will you search for her?" Oreno pressed. "She could be anywhere by now. And you need to secure the future of your pack. Think of the pups, the continuation of your line. Don't let your obsession with Elena blind you to what's important."

Joseph was silent for a moment, considering Oreno's words. He had a point - he did need an heir to ensure the future of his pack. And maybe he was becoming too fixated on finding Elena.

"I'll think about it," he said finally. "But I won't give up on finding Elena. I owe her that much."

"Of course, Alpha Joseph," Oreno said, nodding. "But in the meantime, it wouldn't hurt to keep your options open. The mating games are an excellent opportunity to meet eligible females from other packs and find a suitable Luna for your pack."

Joseph nodded, conceding that Oreno had a valid point. He would consider participating in the mating games - but not until he had exhausted all other options in his search for Elena.

Joseph knew he could trust Oreno, but he couldn't help feeling helpless. He had come so far and done everything in his power to find Elena, but it seemed like he was hitting a dead end.

Oreno gave him a small smile. "Don't lose hope, Alpha Joseph. Sometimes, the answers come to us when we least expect them. Just keep your eyes open, and you may find what you're looking for."

Joseph nodded and left the council hall, feeling a mix of frustration and hopelessness. He was determined to find Elena, but he didn't know where to start. He only hoped that Oreno was right and that the answers would come to him soon.

Elena stepped into the council building, determined to discuss her rightful place as the heir of the Moon and Crescent Royal Family. As she made her way down the hallway, a beautiful scent hit her nostrils, causing her to go weak in the knees and took her breath away. She couldn't place the scent, but it was as if it was calling out to her.

Without thinking, she ran out of the building, following the scent. She turned the corner, hoping to catch a glimpse of the person responsible for the scent, but instead, she found an empty parking space.

Confused, she looked around, trying to determine where the scent was coming from. Elena stood in the empty parking space, trying to catch her breath. The scent was still strong, and she knew it was familiar, but she couldn't place it. She looked around, trying to see if anyone was nearby, but the area was deserted. Elena closed her eyes and took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down.

Joseph felt like he had exhausted all his options in finding Elena, but he knew that witches had the ability to use magic to find people. He decided to seek out a witch who was known for her powerful spells and ability to locate individuals. After some searching, he found the witch's name - Selene - and set out to find her.

Selene lived in a remote area, and it took Joseph a few days to locate her. When he finally found her, he explained his situation and asked for her help in finding Elena. Selene listened carefully and agreed to help him.

The witch finished her spell and opened her eyes to look at Joseph. "I'm sorry, Alpha Joseph," she said, "but Elena is cloaked with powerful magic. It is impossible to locate her through magic."

Joseph let out a frustrated sigh, feeling like he had hit another dead end. "Is there anything else you can suggest?"

The witch thought for a moment. "Perhaps it is best to allow Elena to find you. You could put out a call to all the packs and covens, announcing that you are looking for your mate and that you are open to meeting with any potential candidates. This may attract Elena's attention."

Joseph considered the suggestion. "It's not a bad idea," he said. "But how will I know if it's her?"

The witch smiled knowingly. "You will know, Alpha Joseph. Your soul will recognise hers."

Joseph nodded, feeling a renewed sense of hope. "Thank you for your help," he said, before leaving the witch's home.

As he walked back to his pack, Joseph couldn't help but think about the witch's words. He knew deep down that she was right - his soul would recognise Elena's. He just had to trust in the magic and be patient.

Joseph took a deep breath and made a decision. Oreno's words had been ringing in his head, and he knew that he had to take action. He needed to find a mate, and he needed to do it soon. He realised that he had been searching for Elena for far too long, and it was time to move on.

He made an announcement to all the packs and covens, letting them know that he would be participating in the upcoming mating games. He wanted to unite with a strong, powerful mate who would help him lead his pack to greatness.

As the word spread, Joseph couldn't help but hope that Elena would hear about the games and come to find him. He knew it was a long shot, but he couldn't shake the feeling that she was still out there somewhere.
