Eighteen years ago, the Alpha of the pack was away on a diplomatic mission in a different country. He had been invited to speak at a conference of Alpha leaders, and he was eager to share his knowledge and experience.
The Alpha had just arrived at the diplomatic meeting when he bumped into his fellow alpha, Theodore.
"Ah, there you are!" Theodore exclaimed, clapping the Alpha on the back. "I was starting to think I was the only one representing our packs here."
The Alpha chuckled. "I'm never too far behind you, my friend."
Theodore grinned. "So, what do you hope to achieve from this meeting? Any trade deals you're looking to strike?"
The Alpha shrugged. "Maybe. But more than that, I hope to build stronger relationships with the other packs. You know how important diplomacy is for maintaining peace and unity."
Theodore nodded. "True, true. Speaking of which, have you ever thought about the future of your pack? I mean, who you want to lead after you're gone?"
The Alpha's expression grew serious. "Of course. I want my pack to continue to thrive and be the strongest in the world. "
Theodore raised an eyebrow. "Ah, so that's it. Well, did you know, they have a seer in this pack who's known to be very powerful in predicting the future"
The Alpha's interest was piqued. "Really? "
"yes, she is very good"
"If that's so, why are they having her hidden? She should be the one leading this meeting surely?" Alpha responds with a cheeky smile on his face.
Theodore realises that Alpha Simon doesn't take him seriously, so carries on convincing him
"Apparently she is mated to someone important from this pack, that's why they keep it quiet"
"Oh, I see.."
"Why do you think they got so strong and powerful? Why do you think we are holding the meeting here? Remember their old Alpha Ralph? He wasn't able to find or organise anything, and now his son is able to do all this?" Theodore points at the large buildings filled with shops, which are all part of the Blue Moon Pack territory.
"I see your point there, Ralph wasn't particularity blessed.. mh... with the... Alpha skills.. and yes, his son seems to have a much better grip on things that his father, but that doesn't mean..."
"I am telling you man, they are using some serious magic here.."
"Maybe so, I guess I don't mind it as much as long as they use it to benefit us all, and I guess this meeting proves that they are looking for unity of all the packs..."
"Yeah, on their terms, under their direction..."
"Oh, come on Theodore, you don't think a room full of Alphas is going to be managed by a 20-something year old that will want to enslave us all... He would have better chances invading us, than inviting us here and doing it the diplomatic way."
"I hope you are right Simon, I hope you are right."
Later on after the meeting was over Alpha Simon stepped out of the conference room at the hotel, feeling relieved that the diplomatic meeting was finally over. The rain had started pouring heavily, but he didn't mind it much. He was hungry and couldn't wait to visit the local diner, which was famous for its excellent burgers, worthy of an Alpha.
As he stepped out of the hotel, he saw a woman trying to cross the busy road ahead. She was carrying some shopping bags and struggling to keep them in place in the heavy rain. Suddenly, she slipped and fell down, and the shopping bags went flying in different directions.
Alpha Simon immediately sensed the danger and looked to see a big truck approaching fast. He knew he had to act quickly to save the woman's life. He used his super speed and ran to the woman, picking her up off the street and onto the pavement, just in time as the big truck passed by, crashing some of her shopping bags.
The woman was in a state of shock, realising that it could have been her if not for this man's help. She looked up at him, and for the first time, Alpha Simon saw her face. She was beautiful, with long dark hair and green eyes that shone even in the dim light of the rain.
"Are you okay?" Alpha Simon asked, concerned for her well-being.
The woman nodded, still in shock. "Thank you, thank you so much," she said, her voice shaking slightly.
Alpha Simon smiled at her, glad that he could help. "Can I help you with anything else? Are you hurt?" he asked, looking at her more closely.
The woman shook her head, "No, no, I'm fine, thank you," she said, trying to collect her scattered shopping bags.
Alpha Simon knelt down to help her pick up the bags. He looked at her again and felt a strange sense of familiarity, as if he had met her before.
The woman took a deep breath, still shaking from the close call, and turned to face Simon. "Thank you so much," she said, her voice shaking slightly. "You saved my life." Simon nodded, feeling a rush of adrenaline still coursing through his veins. "I couldn't just stand there and do nothing," he replied.
The woman looked at him carefully, as if sizing him up. "I'm a seer," she said suddenly. "I can see things, both in the present and the future. And I owe you a debt of gratitude for saving my life."
Simon was taken aback. He had heard of seers before, but he had never met one. "What kind of things can you see?" he asked, his curiosity piqued.
The woman smiled enigmatically. "All kinds of things," she replied. "Events, people, even objects. And I can offer you a gift, if you'll accept it. A glimpse into both the present and the future."
Simon hesitated for a moment. He was sceptical, of course, but there was something about the woman's demeanour that made him think she might be telling the truth. And besides, he was always interested in gaining an edge over his rivals."What do I have to do?" he asked.
"Come to my home tonight at midnight and I will pay you back for your help the best I can".

Simon stood nervously in front of the small cabin in the woods, his heart beating fast in his chest. He had followed the directions the seer had given him and found himself at the address she had provided. It was clear that this was her home - there was no mistaking it for anything else. The cabin was the only house on the road and it looked just as he imagined an old witch's house would look. It was small, made of wood, and had a thatched roof that looked like it could cave in at any moment.
Simon looked at his watch and saw that it was almost midnight. He hesitated for a moment, wondering if he should turn back and forget all about this. But the curiosity of his and his pack's future was to strong. So, he took a deep breath and knocked on the old brown, wooden door.
There was no response at first, and Simon wondered if the seer was even home. But then he heard shuffling footsteps coming from inside. The door creaked open slowly, revealing a dark interior. Simon could smell the scent of incense and herbs, mixed with the musty aroma of old books and parchment.
As Simon stepped inside, he saw that the interior of the cabin was cluttered with all manner of strange objects - a large crystal ball, an old wooden staff, and shelves filled with jars and bottles of various liquids. The seer sat at a small table in the corner, hunched over a book.
"Welcome, Alpha Simon," she said, not looking up from her book. "I have been expecting you."
Simon felt a chill run down his spine at the seer's words, but walked further into the cabin, taking in the strange surroundings. The seer motioned for him to take a seat at the table.
"I have something I think you will be happy to hear," she said, still not looking up from her book.
Simon nodded, his anxiety growing. He felt like he was in a dream, a very strange one, and he wondered what was going to happen next.
The Alpha was initially sceptical of her abilities, but she quickly proved her knowledge of the future by telling him things that no one else could have known.
"Your son is coming in to this world at this very moment. You will shortly be called by your Beta and your wife will send you messages before she goes to sleep. Do not worry, you are having a gorgeous, healthy boy." as she said that his phone started buzzing in his pocket, he took it out and briefly saw a message from his wife "We have a boy!" Simon was now all in, she said it and it happened instantly. All doubts that he might have had a few minutes ago were now gone and he was all in, he wanted to know more, he wanted to know everything.
" that's great. Can you tell me more about his future?"
"His future? Is that the part that you wish to know dear Alpha? Be advised that I can only bless you with one aspect of your future as I can not go around and prod and poke different areas spread in time. Whether its your fate, your wife's your packs or your son's I only can tell you about one? Which one do you choose?"
Simon thought about this carefully, he wanted to know so many things, but his feelings of joy about his first born son and at the same time worries and concerns over his future completely overtook the Alpha, as he responded
" Yes, please tell me about my son's future"
"Well then..."the seer closed her eyes and went silent for a moment. Simon was waiting in anticipation and if the light from the candle was any brighter Simon would have noticed that the seer went completely pale, but being preoccupied with messages relating to his sons birth he was completely distracted. He didn't notice that the Seer took a little too long in her silence and once she started to talk her voice was changed completely. Simon's Alpha senses started to pick up on things, but he disregarded the small alarm bells in his head as his heart was filling up with joy.
When the Seer finally responded it was not with the future that Simon was expecting for his son.
"Your son would face many challenges in his life, and there is a great danger to his life. Also, he may struggle to lead a strong pack. "
The Alpha was taken aback by the seer's words
" This can not be true! He is from a good line of strong Alphas!" Simon became tortured by the thoughts of his sons death and failure...
"Is there anything that can be done to prevent this and help my son?"
The Seer looked at him with pity and listened to him continuing
"Look, I helped you today, not because I was expecting anything, but because I am a protector and that is what I do, please, please help me protect my son... Is there anything that I can do?"
"Well... There is one thing..."
"What is it?"
"The only way to ensure your son's survival and the prosperity of the pack is to ensure he has the strongest and most powerful mate in the world."
The Alpha was deeply concerned and immediately began to think of ways to fulfil the prophecy. He knew that the only way to ensure his son's future was to find the best mate possible, and he was willing to go to great lengths to do so.
As he left the seer, his mind was already formulating a plan. He would scour the world for the perfect mate for his son, and he would do whatever it takes to secure her. He would not let anything stand in his way, not even the mate's own desires or will.

"Is he gone now?" Tall man came out of the shadows looking at the Seer
"Yes, he is gone" the Seer replied
"What did you really see?" The man stood by the Seer's side causing her to look directly at him
"What makes you think I saw something different, than what I shared with him?"
"Layla, please... It has something to do with our pack, doesn't it?"
"Oh, Titus, please... Just trust me, ok?"
"Mmm... Its not like you to keep secrets from me, this must be serious?"
"Don't you worry your gorgeous Alpha head about this." Layla said as she stood up and put her arms around Titus.
"We are mates and you shouldn't have secrets from me, you know..."
"I know, but its not a secret if it hasn't happened yet?" Layla whispers before kissing Titus passionately.
Before she fell asleep that night Layla thought to herself "Alpha Simon will be busy looking for a perfect mate for his son, lets hope that this will be enough to keep him away from here."
