Chapter 10 - Chapter 9

I did eventually cave from the pressure, and explained to everyone what happened. I just couldn't sit there and do nothing, and I had made a difference. While I couldn't be sure Iceblood would have actually done something worse, I wasn't about to sit there and find out.

"I see." Thadwick said, nodding.

Nadia and Liz both stared at me with stars in their eyes, causing me to flush.

"You're a hero!" Nadia said, beaming at me.

"I agree. What you did was really brave." Liz said.

"What he did was foolish and reckless." Ryanna said, but then she grinned at me, "I approve."

Thadwick sighed.

"The MRU is going to have to work double time in order to keep this under wraps. Thankfully, they will destroy and security footage that shows people using their powers, and I'm sure they have mind mages working right now to change the events in their minds so they don't remember any of it." Thadwick said.

"Thank fucking god." I said, probably louder than I had wanted to, but that was a relief. If they could just forget I said anything, that would be a blessing.

Ryanna chuckled at my words.

"What's the matter? You don't want anyone to remember what 'The King' did for them?" She teased me.

I groaned and covered my face with my hands to cover my embarrassment. This only caused her to go from little giggled to a full on laugh. I cringed more.

"It is curious, though." Thadwick said, his hand on his smooth chin, "Powers do often change how a person can think and react, but as you described, it's like a part of you changes when you use your powers. This 'King' persona, as you say." He said.

"I think it's cute." Ryanna said, and this time, everyone groaned.

"Mom, you're making Sid embarrassed. He clearly doesn't like it." Liz scolded her mother.

"No. I don't. It's stupid." I said, although my voice was muffled by my hands still covering my face.

"I think it's fitting. My princess is worthy of a King to-"

"Ryanna." Thadwick said, cutting her off and grabbing her hands, "My dear, beautiful, sweet wife. Please stop talking."

Honestly, if I was into guys, I would have fallen in love with this man. It didn't stop my face from burning red hot, but his help was greatly appreciated. Ryanna was an interesting woman to deal with, and her being Liz's mom only made it more difficult. Telling her to stop would be weird, but thankfully, my man Thad had it covered.

I had never seen a grown woman pout like a teenager before, but Ryanna did it well. Regardless, she did aqueous to his request, and a small smirk tugged at her lips. It seems sweet talking is super effective.

I looked over to see a similar pout on Nadia's face, while Liz just squrimed and twiddled her thumbs, her face glowing with heat.

"I'm sorry I interrupted everyone. I'm a few hours too early." I finally said, unsure of what else to say.

Thad and Ryanna bothed just waved it off.

"It's the weekend. No one is truly busy. Honestly, I figured you'd have more to do, so I figured giving you time would be beneficial." Thad said, causing me to laugh.

"I quite literally had nothing to do. The only reason I even went to the bank in the first place was to cash in my bonus check. I was trying to kill time." I replied.

Ryanna clapped her hands together.

"Well then, Sid, you are more than welcome to stay here and have dinner with us. Then, afterwards, we can get back to having more fun." She said with a smirk.

Not gonna lie, she is growing on me. She's so bubbly that it's hard not to find her amusing.

"Besides, my dear daughter and her friend have something they wish to discuss with you." Ryanna added, and both myself and Thad raised an eyebrow.

I looked over at Liz and Nadia, and they bothed stiffened, their faces going crimson.

"Honey, what did you do?" Thad asked, and Ryanna just gave him a knowing smile.

"Nothing you need to concern yourself with. Now, I'm going to go start prepping dinner." Ryanna said, and this fully grown woman hopped up and merrily skipped across the living room and down a hall that I assumed led to their kitchen.

Thad sighed and stood up.

"I am going to go and figure out what scheme she has cooked up. Sid, make yourself at home."

Thad soon trailed off after his wife, leaving me with the two girls who were still bright red. An awkward silence fell between us as I tried to parse through the situation.

"What was her mom talking about? There was obviously some plan involved here, but I can't make heads or tails of it." I thought to myself, trying and failing to come up with an answers myself.

"Would you like some water?"

I nearly jumped out of my skin as I whipped my head around, startled by the sudden voice behind me.

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to startle you." An apologetic maid said, and I relaxed upon seeing her admittedly cute appearance.

The tension seemed to have eased within the girls, who were now giggling at my expense. I coughed.

"Sorry, I didn't hear you behind me. Yes, water sounds great." I said, and the main smiled.

She had already brought a tray with her. She set three glasses on the table in front of us and poured water from a pitcher into each of the glasses. Then, she placed a small plate of pastries in the center of the table, and bowed to us. Feeling slightly awkward, I just nodded.

"Uh, thank you." I said.

She smiled once more before grabbing the now empty tray and heading back towards the kitchen.

"Aren't you jumpy?" Nadia teased with a knowing smirk.

I just grunted as I took a sip of water, then after gulping some down, I grabbed a pastry and popped the whole thing into my mouth. It was raspberry, and it was goddamn delicious.

Feeling much more relaxed, I decided that my curiosity couldn't wait anymore.

"So, what is it that you both wanted to talk with me about?" I asked, causing them both to become tense again.

Liz's cheeks flushed, and while it was very cute, I was also getting ancy. Nadia, while still looking embarrassed, was able to compose herself a lot more easily than Liz was.

"First, I want to apologize for how I acted yesterday. I was just..." Nadia said, trailing off.

"You were just...?" I asked.

I wasn't trying to rush either of them, but being an impatient man, the suspense was getting a little painful.

"I was... jealous." Nadia admitted, and that surprised me.

"Jealous?" I asked, slightly confused.

Nadia, seemingly short on patience herself, just blurted out.

"I like you! Ever since I met you, I've been drawn to you in a way I can't explain, so when Mrs. Jonnadeer suggested that you could date Lizzie, I kinda just got emotional, even though I know that's not fair to her. You're just so handsome, but also kind. It's just...oh." Naida said, the words just spilling out of her, then she turned beet red, seemingly realizing what she was saying.

Her words gave me backlash, and my eyes opened wide. Being as dense as I am, this was new to me. Yes, I felt there was a physical attraction, but this sounded like she wanted a relationship akin to what I was considering with Liz. I looked to Liz for help, but she just gave me a weak smile.

"I feel pretty much the same. It's strange being so drawn to you considering we just started talking and hanging out, but I can't help how I feel." Liz said, her face just as red, but she somehow powered through the words.

I just sat there, stunned. This had never happened to me in my whole life. Women, getting jealous over me? Admitting their feelings to me? Wanting me? I won't lie and say that both of them aren't ridiculously hot, but that was only half of it. They were both very sweet girls. Nadia was more flirtatious and had a firey personality, while Liz was shy, yet gentle in a way that made her equally as cute.

While it seemed to good to be true, there was one big issue with this development. Liz was already ahead of me though.

"This is why we wanted to talk to you. My mom suggested an idea to us. At first, we weren't sure, but the more we thought about it, the more the idea had time to sit with us, and we both think it's at least worth a try." She said, and my mind raced.

"And... what was that?" I asked, my heart racing.

I had some ideas in my head, but none of them seemed realistic. I was suddenly very thirsty, and took a big drink of water. My mistake I guess, because Nadia answered only moments after.

"That you should date both of us." She blurted.

I choked on my water, coughing and spluttering. I pounded on my chest in an attempt to get more water out of my lungs.

"WHAT?" I managed to say through my wheezing.

Admittedly, that was one of the ideas that went through my head, but it was one of the unrealistic ones that I had tossed aside, so to actually hear it was mind boggling. I looked at the both of them, waiting for them to tell me they were joking with me, but as I looked at both of them, I just seen two very beautiful and very determined women. Their faces were as red as a cherry, but they weren't messing with me. This may come as a surprise, but I was lacking in the words department at this very moment.

"I..uh...I...huh?"

Well, I guess that's something.

"Are you against the idea?" Liz asked, her and Nadia's shoulders deflating.

Are you kidding me? Against the idea of being with two beautiful women? What kind of idiot would I be if I was? The idea honestly stirred something inside of me I had never felt before, yet the questions still remained.

Was it really okay to try to be with two women? Could I give them both the attention they deserved? Could I give them the warmth and love they both needed? The hormones inside of me told me, yes, I fucking can, but the logical part of my brain warred with my heart on the matter.

"It's not that I'm against it. Shit...this is just... unreal. This is so sudden, and I'm just having trouble believing it. I'm not good with this kind of stuff and well..." I said, trailing off as my face turned red.

"I'm not good with this either. I've never had a boyfriend, let alone something like this. Nadia and I spent a while deliberating this and well... we both like you, and neither of us want to hurt the other." Liz said, smiling slightly.

This is fucking insane. This kind of stuff doesn't happen. Am I dreaming or something? Two gorgeous women both want to be with me, and are okay with it?

"We both want to get to know you better, and we want to spend more time with you. You are a nice guy, Sid. " Nadia said, grinning at me.

My heart quite literally felt like it was going to rocket out of my chest. I wasn't aure whether I wanted to yell at Ryanna or hug her right now. This was something I frequently fanaticised about, mostly due to the books I read and the shows I watched, but for it to actually be a reality for me was.... not what I had ever expected to happen.

I opened my mouth to respond, but then a loud shout caused me to wince.

"YOU DID WHAT??" Thad shouted, and I swore the windows of their house shook.

Liz scratched the back of her head and chuckled nervously.

"I think mom caved and told him about her idea for us."

I couldn't do anything but laugh at the absurdity that my life had quickly become.
