Chereads / Salthey: Sin of Wrath [Flame Spearman] / Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: System Upgrade

Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: System Upgrade

I sat on a tree branch, swinging my feet singing a melody that I couldn't remember the words for.

Staring at the map of the forest, I used my

[Stealth] skill to sneak around the surrounding area and broken the Territory into 5 Groups

[Dire Wolfs]

[Undead]

[Golems]

[Hob-Goblins]

[Ogres]

From what I could tell, all the groups were equal strength with the [Dire Wolfs] being the weakest individually but where strongest as a pack.

The [Ogres] were the second strongest and had

basic weaponry, but were stupider than the [Hob-Goblins] and had a lower population than them. However, their endurance was no joke combined with their monstrous strength, which made them dangerous foe.

The [Golems] were the strongest individually, although they were the lowest in population, but what made them dangerous was their immunity to [Pierce] and [Slashing] type weapons as well as their [Geomancy] made them tuff enemies.

[Hob-Goblins] were evolved race of [Goblins] and were smarter, stronger, and more agile. Although they were still [Goblins] and were prone to infighting as well as still weaker than the average human.

The [Undead] was a newer group from what I could gather, seeing as the other factions minus the [Golems] had sent their scouts to investigate. I had managed to get close enough to my best guess as the center of their territory. However, the amount of undead prevented my continued investigation. Their strength was in sheer numbers with little to no tactics or skill and were relatively weak. Although never out rule the power of a wave of fearless corpses crashing down on you.

I decided to make a temporary base in the middle zone of the [Undead] territory on the tree I was currently sitting on. My reasoning was that the [Undead] can't climb and was oblivious of my existence while using my [Stealth] skill that meant

I could keep an eye on the [Undead] and hit and run the other factions equally to keep them in the balance of power from tipping.

However, the Groans of the Zombies really ticked me off as I gripped my spear in annoyance when a notification popped up.

"Huff... Huff... Huff.." I took deep gulps of air as my sides burned. I grabbed a water skin and drank it greedily as my throat was dry, resting my head on a nearby tree as I slumped, and I rested their for a moment. I had been fighting for three days and three nights as the Zombies never stopped, and I had gotten the only two skills that the zombies had, which were both [Racial Skills]

[Miasma Immunity] (Rare) Lv.Max

I had Gotten [Undead Foritude] first, which allowed me to fight for so long but seeing how it wasn't Passive as soon as the System recognized I wasn't fighting it deactivated which is why I am here dying from Exhaustion on this tree.

I struggled to get back up to the tree that became my temporary base as I promptly dropped it like it was hot.
