Legacy Of The Shadow Reaper

In a world where every being is born with a personal system interface, strength is not a gift — it is cultivated, absorbed, stolen, or earned through death. This fractured world is divided into countless realms of power, where humans, demi-humans, elves, dragons, devils, demons, celestials, and even gods compete, ascend, or fall. The Dark Flame bloodline once stood at the peak of this world — a cursed lineage born with the ability to consume elements, powers, and even fate itself. Fearing the rise of the prophesied “Shadow Reaper,” the celestial order destroys the last of the Dark Flame family. But in their final moments, Lord Azrael and Lady Seraphina split their newborn twins to protect them — the boy, Kael, is cast into the lowest realm, his memories sealed and bloodline hidden beneath an ancient locket. His twin sister, Lyra, is raised unknowingly within the very celestial towers that ordered their family’s execution. As Kael grows up in hardship, hunted by monsters and raised by mortals, his dormant power begins to awaken — granting him a path of limitless devouring and mastery over all weapons, especially his destined scythe. With the mysterious support of Selene Frost, a ruthless, cold-hearted girl who becomes both his partner and soulmate, Kael begins the climb through realms — one monster core, one battle, one bloodline at a time. Legacy of the Shadow Reaper is a slow-paced, character-driven epic told through multiple POVs, combining deep lore, evolving system mechanics, layered relationships, and a carefully planned rise from the bottom to challenge gods. At its heart, it is a story of revenge, lost family, and the weight of destiny .

imperial celestial

Once every 10,000 years, the heavens open, and the Mortal Realm is cast into turmoil. The Great Reset begins—a cosmic reckoning where empires fall, beasts awaken, and only the strongest carve their names into eternity. For those who survive, the path to the Astral Realm and the right to claim divinity awaits. Raikai, a warrior forged in storms, wields the power of the Celestial Iron Body Cultivation, his flesh tempered into living steel. His Death Arms—twin scythes bound by chains—dance like a mythological dragon, crackling with lightning, capturing and tearing apart those who stand in his way. Beside him stands Shinryu, swift and precise, blessed by the Celestial Tiger. His Death Arms, a pair of white leather gloves with retractable claws, strike with divine speed—every slash a whisper of the heavens’ fury. Together, they ascend the path of blood and power, bound by brotherhood yet tested by fate. Their bond is their greatest strength, but in a world where the Death Arms grow with their wielders—feeding on their victories and failures—power often demands a terrible price. As the 10,000-year Reset begins, ancient titans stir, forgotten sects rise from the shadows, and primordial beasts long thought extinct awaken. The heavens will bear witness as Raikai and Shinryu defy the gods—or die trying. In an age where flesh is reforged into iron and weapons evolve alongside the soul—two brothers will challenge destiny itself!

I became Death

I wake up in this blinding white space — typical Heaven aesthetic — and there’s God, sitting on a cloud like He’s been waiting for me all along. I expected harps, angels, the whole “Welcome to Paradise” deal. Instead, He looks at me and says, straight-faced: “Death retired.” I blink. “Excuse me… what?” “The Grim Reaper, the entity of death? Yep. Retired. Bought a beach house in another dimension. You’ve been chosen to replace them.” At this point, I think I’m hallucinating — bread still stuck in my throat or something. But no, it’s real. I’m now the new Death. And not the spooky skeleton with a scythe — no, I’m basically unreasonably powerful. the Death? Cloak, scythe, creepy skeleton vibe?” "Yeah, but that image's outdated. I have to walk across different worlds — real life, movies, games, comics, anime — all of it. And here’s the kicker: my power? Way too unstable. I don’t just shake someone’s hand and they drop dead — that’d be boring. It’s worse… my thoughts alone can vaporize people. Think “Oops, that guy’s annoying” — poof, he’s gone. Accidentally, imagine blowing up a planet? Say goodbye to that solar system. God leans in, still smiling like this is all normal: “Don’t worry, your mind will need training… lots of it. But you’ll get the hang of it. Also, yes… you can still have friends, relationships… maybe even fall in love.” I stare at Him like He’s insane. “With these powers? You sure?”

Its Dream or Reality?

Chapter 1–4: The Manhole, the Slime, and the Truth I was just an ordinary office worker—living the same routine every day. Until one afternoon… I saw it. A manhole cover, left open in the middle of the street. Before I could step back, I slipped. Darkness. And then... a voice. > "Why are you here?" I wasn’t sure. Maybe this was a dream. Or death. A glowing white figure hovered in the void, then whispered: > "You shouldn’t be here. Let me send you somewhere else." A blinding light, and my body vanished. --- I woke up. But something felt… wrong. My arms, my legs—they were gone. > “What… am I?” I tried to scream, but all that came out were strange, garbled sounds—like a broken radio signal. Then memories—maybe someone else’s?—flashed through my mind. > "Don't leave me… please…" Panicking, I leapt toward a nearby mirror. My reflection? A blob. Yellow. Slime. I was no longer human. Outside the ruined building I’d woken in, I saw something horrifying: A massive zombie, rotting and growling. And beside it… a glowing scythe. The pain in my head grew unbearable—then I blacked out again. --- > "Yo! Finally awake?" A mysterious man, cool-looking, stood beside me—holding the same scythe. I wanted to ask where I was, but my voice was still all noise. A man in a white coat walked over: > “Fascinating… this one isn’t just any slime. Could be one of his creations.” > “You mean him?” > “Yes. But its purpose? Unclear. According to its growth rate, it should already be dead.” Dead? But I was still moving—still thinking! > “I’ll take him to the Slime Research Facility.” And just like that, I was handed over like some experiment. --- The "Reaper" (that’s what they called the scythe guy) took me to a strange city. Tall walls separated it from the wasteland outside. Here, humans and slimes lived together—some working, some just… existing. As we passed by, a golden-colored slime with a chef’s hat suddenly approached: > "Why are you following the Reaper? Shouldn't you be cooking or something?" I responded with my usual radio-sound mess. But strangely… the chef slime nodded. > "Oh, I see. If that’s the case, no problem… but you’re lucky he didn’t slice you in half."

Knights of the End

When a young man emerges into a ravaged village, wielding scythes and scarred with a scar, no one knows who he is—or why he fights. His name is Kant. And all he wants is to forget what he once was. But the past never forgets. His life is thrown back into action when a renegade demon makes him an offer he can't refuse. Now, Kant finds himself at the center of a war in the shadows: a demonic hunt for ancient artifacts. These objects grant their bearer powers: some sacred, the fruits of divine relics; others born of dark and forgotten curses. Alongside a team as broken as the world they try to protect, Kant vows to stop the demons from getting what they want. But with each battle, new omens emerge. Each scar, a reminder of what he was forced to become. And each step leads them to a destiny sealed ages ago: facing their own end. The Horsemen of the Apocalypse are riding. And Death is among them. "The best way to deal with the end... is to bring the Apocalypse." — Signed: Death. This is the official English version of my Brazilian light novel, "Cavaleiros do Fim". I'm zXAtreusXz (Gabriel de Morais), the original author, and I'm personally translating and adapting the story into English. The original Portuguese version is available on Novel Mania, a Brazilian platform for light novels. English isn't my first language, so I'm still learning and doing my best to adapt. DISCLAIMER: This story covers sensitive topics like suicide and abuse. If you are easily disturbed or are suffering from these issues yourself in any way in your own life, this book is not recommended for you and keep in mind that there is hope for peace and happiness and more than happiness so long as you give yourself at least the time to notice it someday. Please look after yourself, and I hope you find comfort in what I write if you still choose to read it [pray hands emoji] —————————————————— A pitite girl in her 20s finds herself on the floor of a laboratory in almost complete darkness. Next to her is a knife, and her desire to end her life crosses her mind as she stares at it silently. Although she plans to die, her suicide will have to happen more peacefully, without pain, is what she feels she seeks for her departure. eventually something else makes its way towards her as she is paralysed by fear and plays dead while holding onto the knife for comfort like a teddy bear, and as the irritated stomps makes its way towards her, her calmed state when she was resting on the floor becomes a pray of panic to God for protection, although she does also seek death, but not as horrific as whatever this could be. As it turns out, the entity making its way to her is a tall young man, and carting a scythe like the grim reaper. They are both trapped in the dark, ever stretching jungle of a complex building interior. He wants to escape and she wants to die. “Help me out of here, and you’ll get your wish.”, pissed off by her he angrily smiles. Best to not get on his bad side, because his impulses are argressive, but knowing what exactly is his bad side… that’ll have to be learned the hard way.

A Sexual Apocalypse

In the year 3217, Earth has fallen under the domination of the Xytherians, a terrifying alien species that has enslaved humanity. The once-thriving planet is now a dystopian wasteland where humans are reduced to nothing more than cattle, bred for food and labor. The Xytherians, towering over 12 feet with immense strength and impenetrable defenses, treat humans as expendable resources. Earth’s population has plummeted from 24 billion to a mere 2 billion, and survival is a daily struggle for the remaining survivors. Luther Grey, a 22-year-old human, lives a nightmarish existence in one of the Xytherians' feeding centers. Here, human slaves are slaughtered and consumed by the alien children, creatures with voracious appetites. The pain is indescribable, and Luther’s life seems destined to end in the same horrific manner. He is small and weak, only a tool for the Xytherians to exploit. Yet, despite his fragile body, Luther harbors an unbreakable will to survive, and in his darkest moments, a small flame of hope burns within him. As Luther’s time draws near and the alien children close in to feast on him, fate takes a turn. A powerful meteorite crashes into the feeding center, obliterating everything in its path. The explosion destroys the Xytherians’ structure, killing most of the invaders. In the wreckage, Luther survives, gravely injured but alive. In the aftermath, Luther encounters an ancient being named Meta, an entity once created by the Xytherians to serve them. Meta offers Luther a chance at vengeance and survival, granting him the ability to harness the soul-extraction system of the Xytherians. Through this system, Luther can gain power by consuming the bodies of the dead and absorbing their essence. Though revolted by the process, Luther realizes it is the only way to grow stronger and ultimately seek revenge on the alien invaders. With his newfound power and Meta’s guidance, Luther embarks on a journey of vengeance. His weapon, a shadowy scythe, symbolizes his transformation into a soul reaper. The more Xytherians he kills, the stronger he becomes, leveling up and gaining abilities that were once beyond his imagination. However, as he feeds on the souls of his enemies, Luther struggles with the moral cost of his actions. Each kill feeds his power but erodes his humanity. Luther’s path leads him to confront the very darkness he is becoming, questioning whether his thirst for vengeance is worth the price he’s paying. As he battles the remaining Xytherians, Luther must decide whether he will become a monster in the process or retain his humanity in the face of overwhelming power. The Dark World's Dawn is a tale of survival, vengeance, and the cost of power, as Luther Grey rises from the ashes of Earth to challenge the alien overlords and reclaim his world.
