I can't believe Alma wants to use me against Sasha. What is her end goal?
It shouldn't matter, should it? I'm trying to get on her good side. I should do as she wants. Which is why when I say no, I'm as surprised as she is.
She looks like she's just heard a ridiculous joke. "What do you mean, no?"
"Exactly what you heard." It's surprisingly easy to say. "I will not be your little puppet."
As I expected, she is furious. She blocks my path before I can leave. "You have no idea what chance you're letting go of."
The chance to potentially kill someone and frame someone else for it? I have a feeling that will not be the end of it.
With people like Alma, it is never enough. There is no end to their schemes. Today, her target is Sasha. Who knows if I will be the new target once Sasha is taken down? She may just dig up this skeleton for her benefit when the time comes. It's easier to nip it in the bud.
