Chapter 5 - [5] Meeting

"My prince, my room isn't up to the imperial palace standards, but if you need anything, all you need is to the say the word, and I shall make due at once." Jin-Fu-Gui lead him down the hall way.

"It's fine, I shall take the guest room." Wang-Yi held up a hand.

"But my prince…"

"I need to talk to my servants. Now may you please point me to where the guest rooms are?" The prince's tone wasn't budging.

Governor Jin took a look at the prince, then at the rest of his party.

"Ah…" Governor Jin scratched his head, as a wide smile grew on his lips. "Right this way my prince."

Upon reaching the guest rooms, governor Jin then leaned into the prince's ear and said:

"I got some greater strength pills if you need…"

"Don't need it. Anyways, I bid you good night." The prince placed his hand on the bronze ring door handle.

"Good night my prince." Governor Jin bowed.

The prince opened the door and the rest of his party followed him. The last member of his party closed the door.

The first room within the guest room was a living room, the 2nd room were two columns of bed, and in the inner most room was the master bed room. Upon seeing all the rooms, the prince turned and addressed his party:

"Everyone check if there are any hidden compartments within the room."

"Yes my prince!" they all answered.

The prince sat down on one of the beds in the 2nd room, and waited.

A moment later, Lin-Lin returned from the first room and spoke:

"Nothing here in the living room, my prince."

"I didn't find anything here either, my prince." Shu-Wen stood up and spoke.

Shu-Wen appeared to be in her late twenties, she had a tall slender build, long free falling silky black hair, and light brown eyes hidden behind a pair of dark frame glasses. She wore a white Chinese dress with pink flowers sewn on it.

A second later, a person emerged from the master bed room and spoke:

"My prince, I checked the master bed room, nothing here as well." Ye-Li said.

Ye-Li appeared to be in her late teens, she had a tall slender build, long silky white hair tied back in a ponytail, and grey eyes like a gathering storm. She wore a white Chinese dress with white cranes sewn onto it.

"Good work everyone. Everyone sit down for now." The prince said.

Shu-Wen sat on the prince's right hand side, while the other two sat across from him.

"What did that Jin governor say to you?" Shu-Wen turned and asked.

"He wanted to bribe me." The prince replied.

"My heavens…How did you reply my prince?" Ye-Li said with shock.

"I didn't give him an answer."

"So what do we do now my prince?" Shu-Wen looked to the prince with concern.

"We play a little waiting game."

"What do you mean my prince?" Lin-Lin asked.

"One of my trusted sources is currently gathering information about the top officials of Hu-Shang." The prince replied.

The 3 looked to him to continue.

"For the time being, I shall appoint you 2 to new positions." The prince looked to Shu-Wen and Ye-Li.

"Shu-Wen, I will be appointing you to the position of senior scholar in Hu-Shang higher academy."

"But…I don't think I am qualified my prince…" Shu-Wen said worryingly.

"You are already a scholar within Jin-Ling higher academy. You are more qualified then you think you are." The prince said calmingly as he patted her shoulder with one hand.

"Alright, I will do it my prince." Shu-Wen smiled at him.

"Ye-Li, I will be appointing you to the position of vice-chief city planner of Hu-Shang."

"This is such a high position, I don't think I can manage it my prince." Ye-Li voiced her concern.

"You are already 1 out of a 1000 who managed to graduate from the senior school of Jin-Ling. You are more capable than you think you are." The prince turned and said to her sincerely.

"Alright, I will try my best my prince." Ye-Li nodded.

"What about my position my prince?" Lin-Lin asked.

"You will continue to be my personal secretary." The prince said with a small smile.

"Hmph! You just don't want to give me a raise don't you my prince!?" Lin-Lin pouted her cheeks.

The prince got up and walked towards the master bedroom.

"All of you should rest now, especially you Lin-Lin. Tomorrow is gonna be a long day."

"What are we doing tomorrow?" Lin-Lin asked.

"You will see." The prince waved, then turned and closed the door behind him.
