"You never know how strong you are, until being strong is your only choice."
Lorenzo had to discuss a few things with his gang, so he went to the dorm. There, Alex and Roma were quarrelling with each other, Selena was arranging the breakfast on the table, and James was busy on his phone. As Lorenzo entered, everyone greeted him and sat down to eat breakfast.
"The previous stock of weapons has been sold to the Minimals gang; the new stock will be coming today." Selena informed Lorenzo.
"But we have a few problems with the delivery." James continued.
"And what are they?" Lorenzo inquired, still savouring his meal.
"The truck carrying the weapons has lost its way and is approaching from the other side," James explained before continuing, "There, heavy security and police officers are present. There are high chances of the weapons being caught." James explained.
"Do you have contact with the truck driver?" Lorenzo asked calmly.
"Yes, we do," Roma said.
"Okay then, Roma, call him right now and ask him to stop wherever he is," he said and pointed towards Roma and Alex, "You both go there and manage the situation. Bribe the officers, and if they won't listen, kill them on the spot. But be cautious. Do not let them check the truck. After reaching the city, deliver the weapons directly into the godown in the restaurant and then fill the truck with cement boxes, which we already have in the godown." Lorenzo explained clearly.
"Okay boss." Alex and Roma replied. They are very professional when it comes to work.
"Selena, you need to arrange a meeting with the new alliance to sell the next stock. And James, come with me to the Vincent restaurant tonight. We have to prepare documents for making an alliance with the Russian mafia. It has to be completed by next week." Lorenzo said simuntaneously, to which both Selena and James nodded.
They had their breakfast and went to do their tasks.

Ava was having a hard time concentrating in class. Her thoughts were constantly returning to her new part-time job. To get better concentration, Ava decided to take an extra hour at college. She is currently sitting in the library and doing math homework. After about an hour, Ava went to the college gym. As she was late today, there were many people in the gym. She wondered why there were no girls at this hour. There were about 10–15 boys, and two of them were her lecturers. Everyone was minding their own business, so she did the same.
After doing squats, push-ups, and other stuff, she went towards the thread mill. On the thread mill next to hers, a boy was continuously staring at her. She ignored him and continued her workout. Even after a few minutes, she still felt his gaze on her.
"Do I have an eye on my forehead?" Ava asked, not sparing a single glance at him.
"No, you just have an extremely alluring body." The guy started flirting.
Hearing this, Ava stopped dead in her tracks and turned towards the boy, who still had a dirty smirk on his face.
"Mind your own business unless you want me to cut your lil' buddy and shove it in the place where the sun doesn't shine." Ava said calmly yet threateningly, as she took a napkin to wipe away her sweat. The boy gulped and never looked back in Ava's direction for the next 3 hours.
Ava was done with her workout. She looked at the time and realised that it was almost evening. She was glad that the sun hadn't set yet. Otherwise, she would have to walk on the creepy streets again. It was time for her part-time job, as she almost forgot about it. She knew that if she went to her home first, then she would be late to work. Ava sighed and walked towards the restaurant, carrying her bag.

She was told that if she did her job well for a month, Lorenzo would approve her, and she would become the restaurant's permanent employee. Only then would she have the liberty to take her uniform home. Ava rolled her eyes at the thought of Lorenzo "approving" her. She hated that man more than anything.
Perhaps because he fired her.
or because he didn't apologise even after firing her.
Though she didn't know the exact reason, she was sure that she hated him a lot. After changing into her uniform, she started doing her duty.
Lorenzo was sitting in the VIP room in the restaurant. He had a meeting with his mafia clients, a new group that is ready to buy weapons. He was making a deal, and in the middle of the conversation, he saw Ava. To his surprise, her hair was not tied up. It was more like falling up to her waist. Ava was looking ethereal. For him, Ava's beauty was beyond belief. She had a perfect figure and an innocent face that would make any man fall for her. And now that he knew, she was arrogant and had a very sharp tongue hidden behind her innocent-looking face.
"So, is it a deal, Mr. Vincent?" The client asked him.
"Huh?" He said. He got completely distracted from the conversation.
He cleared his throat and quickly composed himself.
"I'll think about it and tell you later." Lorenzo said so and dismissed the meeting. He hadn't been concentrating on the meeting for the past 10 minutes, and now he had to go through the papers again. He groaned in frustration and called Emma through the office landline. He asked her to send him strong coffee.
After a few minutes, a knock was heard. He asked the person to come in, not taking his eyes off the document.
"Sir, your coffee." He heard a familiar voice. He looked up from the documents just to see Ava putting down the tray on his desk, far away from his documents. She didn't bother to look at him. She kept the coffee and was about to go out when he stopped her.
"Did I tell you to go?" Lorenzo asked in his deep, dominating tone.
