Nightnova mansion
In the dimly lit study room, Remus examined his papers while Regis stood respectfully before him
Regis's voice was tinged with a hint of curiosity as he asked, "Father, I've been thinking about it. Are you sure I shouldn't go?"
Remus looked up from his papers, meeting Regis's gaze with a stern expression. "No, my son, I still cannot allow it. Are you still considering going?" he asked.
Regis respectfully replied, "No, father, I am not. If you are not allowing me to go, there must be a reason. I will wait for you to tell me."
Remus let out a sigh of relief. "It's good that you understand. I will reveal everything about your sealed strength during your adult ceremony."
Regis was taken aback. "Do I have to wait that long?"
"It won't be long," Remus assured him. "It will come before you know it."
Regis's expression drooped slightly. "So, until my adult ceremony, you won't let me go out on my own?"
"I will allow you to go out, but always with a guardian. You are not permitted to venture alone," Remus clarified.
Regis interjected, "I meant to another realm."
Remus responded, "Even then, you will have to wait until Morwen returns."
Anxiety crept into Regis's voice. "And what if he doesn't return?"
Remus's voice turned firm as he said, "You must not speak of such things. Nothing will happen to him. Trust in his abilities."
Curiosity flickered in Regis's eyes as he inquired, "Father, have the other clans agreed to help us?"
Remus paused his document writing for a moment, then resumed, saying, "It's going well."
Regis pondered silently to himself. "You're lying. I know that except for the Ascedia clan, everyone else has rejected our plea."
Regis requested, "Give me permission to visit my sister."
Remus, sensing something amiss, asked in a more serious tone, "Regis, answer me honestly. Your sister told me that you weren't in your room when she visited you for the past five days. Where have you been?"
Regis felt guilty for hiding the truth but gathered his confidence. "Where would I go, father? I have been wandering the back mountains these past few days to alleviate my boredom."
"Hmm, alright," Remus conceded. "You may leave now."
Regis bowed respectfully and exited the room. As he made his way down the hall, he couldn't help but pause in front of a door for a moment. He gently knocked and heard a melodic voice from within ask, "Who is it?"
Regis's voice carried a mix of warmth and concern as he replied, "It's me, Regis, your brother."
"Come inside," Calista's voice beckoned.
Regis pushed open the door and stepped into Calista's room.
Calista's room exuded an air of elegance and refinement, a sanctuary within the palace. Intricate silver decorations adorned the walls, casting a soft shimmering light. Unique portraits captured the essence of beauty and grace, evoking a sense of admiration. Antique pieces crafted from gold and silver added a touch of opulence to the atmosphere.
The room was divided into two sections. The front section led to a spacious living room, furnished with meticulously designed furniture that combined aesthetics with comfort. Each piece seemed to have been carefully selected to complement the overall ambiance of the room.
To the left of the living room, there was a door that opened into Calista's bedroom. The bedroom was a haven of luxury, featuring exquisitely crafted furniture that exuded elegance. The bed, adorned with soft, flowing drapes, beckoned one to rest and unwind. The room was adorned with different varieties of flowers, their vibrant colors and delicate scents permeating the air, creating an inviting and soothing environment.
As the windows stood wide open, a gentle breeze caressed the room, carrying with it the scent of blooming flowers from the outside. Calista sat near the window, the soft fabric of her simple attire gently flowing with the wind. The moonlight bathed her delicate features, casting a celestial glow upon her skin, while her hair shimmered like stardust, gracefully moving with each breath of wind.
Calista's silver eyes shimmered like moonlight on a calm lake, filled with tears that reflected her emotional turmoil. The room, with its tasteful decor and tranquil atmosphere, offered a comforting refuge amidst her struggles.
Witnessing his sister's emotional state, Regis's heart filled with sorrow. He clenched his fists, his teeth grinding together, and a deep ache settled in his chest.
Regis approached her with a tender smile, his voice filled with warmth. offering reassurance. "Sister, don't worry. Brother Morwen will surely return. And when he does, he wouldn't want to see you in such distress."
Calista turned to face Regis, a faint smile gracing her lips. She tenderly patted his head and replied, "My dear brother Regis, don't fret over me. I will recover soon."
Regis's concern grew as he noticed the untouched food on the table. "Sister, why haven't you eaten anything?"
Calista responded with disinterest, "I simply don't have an appetite."
Regis objected, "Sister, this isn't right. You are not one to surrender so easily. Please take care of yourself."
Summoning a servant, their footsteps echoing softly in the room as they swiftly responded to his command. Regis instructed them to prepare a fresh meal.
Regis remained by Calista's side, offering his unwavering support. He sat closely beside her, their shoulders barely touching, a comforting presence in her time of distress. With a tender and caring demeanor, he made sure she ate each bite of the meal,
Regis watched over her with a vigilant gaze, his eyes filled with concern and determination. He offered words of encouragement and soothing reassurances, his voice laced with warmth and love. He remained by her side until the weariness of her emotions subsided and her eyelids grew heavy with sleep.
Only when he was certain that Calista had found a peaceful slumber, did Regis gently rise from his position, careful not to disturb her rest. He tucked the blanket around her, ensuring she was comfortable, and silently left the room, the door closing with a soft click.
Regis's heart weighed heavy with worry, but he knew that his sister needed her rest.
He called upon the servants, who on time gathered before him.
Three servants bowed respectfully, and in a cold tone, Regis issued his instructions. "Take care of her every need, ensure she is not deprived, and if anything seems amiss, immediately inform me or our father."
The servants replied in unison, "Yes, young master."
Regis proceeded to his own room, opening a drawer near his bed. From it, he retrieved the phoenix badge. With determined resolve, he silently made his way to the window and slipped out, embarking on a clandestine journey back to the cave.
Entering the cave, Regis commanded the badge, "Open." A dimensional portal materialized before him, and without hesitation, he stepped inside,

secret realm
As Regis entered the secret realm, he spotted his friend Rai, peacefully resting under the old tree, appeared serene and undisturbed. The soft rays of sunlight filtered through the leaves, creating a warm glow that embraced his slumbering form. The wind, with its gentle touch, delicately brushed against Rai's sleeping figure, causing his hair to sway in sync with the breeze. It was as if the wind itself recognized his tranquility and paid homage to his inner calmness.
As Regis quietly approached Rai, he had a mischievous idea to test his friend's awareness. He swiftly launched a black aura arrow at Rai, aiming to catch him off guard. However, Rai's innate defenses swiftly activated, forming The barrier shimmered with a faint, ethereal glow, resonating with Rai's aura.
Rai opened his eyes and a faint smile appeared on his face. Regis, wearing an annoyed expression, exclaimed, "Damn it, I couldn't land a hit again."
Rai chuckled and summoned a wave of powerful crimson energy, resembling a sharp blade, towards Regis. Instinctively, Regis blocked the attack with a barrier of his own.
"It's not fair, Rai," Regis protested.
Rai smirked and replied, "And what you did earlier was fair?"
Regis retorted, "I was... I was just greeting you."
Rai responded mockingly, "Oh, I was just greeting you too."
Regis's eyes glowed with a blue glow once more, as he summoned an unlimited barrage of arrows towards Rai, only to have them deflected by Rai's barrier.
Rai placed a separate barrier around the old tree, ensuring it remained unharmed during their friendly battle.
In an instant, Rai vanished from his previous position and appeared behind Regis, his crimson eyes radiating intensity. With a swift hand gesture, Rai attempted to strike Regis with his crimson aura, but Regis anticipated the move and swiftly erected a barrier, preventing Rai's attack.
"Rai, do you truly have enough strength to protect that tree while fighting me?" Regis questioned.
Rai smirked and replied confidently, "Of course, I do. It's more than enough to face you."
Regis, struggling against Rai's relentless assault, exclaimed, "Well, you are underestimating me." He attempted to push Rai back, but his efforts were in vain.
Rai, with a hint of curiosity, asked, "Do I?"
Continuing their clash of auras, Rai inquired, "How was it today?"
Regis responded, "I spoke with my father and assured him that I understood his intentions, even though I haven't. He intends to keep me in the dark until my adult ceremony."
As Regis spoke, his eyes glowed once more, and a barrage of arrows materialized and launched towards Rai.
Rai swiftly disappeared from the spot, reappearing at a distance from Regis. He asked, "Then?"
Regis, placing one hand on the ground, attempted to attack Rai from below, but Rai effortlessly evaded his strikes. In a blink of an eye, Rai once again stood behind Regis. Both of them unleashed their powerful auras, causing them to clash with intense force.
With a mixture of anger sadness in his voice, Regis declared, "I will not listen to him this time. I cannot bear to see my sister in such distress. He claims everything is going well when in reality, everyone has turned their backs on us, except for the Ascedia clan."
Rai, filled with curiosity, questioned, "Regis, are you prepared?"
Regis nodded with determination. Rai pushed Regis back with increased force, but Regis held his ground, maintaining his resolve.
Summoning his arrows and pointing them directly at Rai, Regis prepared to strike. Rai's barrier appeared, but Regis smirked and conjured a massive arrow, accompanied by a volley of smaller arrows aimed at Rai.
As Rai's barrier shattered, Regis took advantage of the situation, attempting to punch Rai while simultaneously summoning arrows from beneath and conjuring clouds to rain down upon him.
Rai's crimson wings materialized on his
back, effortlessly blocking the attacks from below and the incoming onslaught of clouds. He also halted Regis' fist with his right hand.
Simultaneously, Rai summoned tornadoes, directing them towards Regis, who struggled to evade their forceful winds. Unfortunately, he found himself once again caught within the swirling vortex.
In frustration, Regis exclaimed, "No, not again!"
Rai put his right hand behind his back, smiled at regis and said, "Rex, what should you say now?"
Annoyed, Regis replied, "I'm sorry. You're great. I lost."
With a chuckle, Rai dispelled his barrier and the swirling tornadoes, freeing Regis from their grasp. Regis descended swiftly to the ground, regaining his balance.
Regis sat in front of Rai, his frustration evident in his voice, saying, "I can't even scratch you. How am I going to face all the werewolves alone?"
Rai gently patted Regis on the head with his left hand, chuckling, and reassured him, "Don't worry. You have enough strength to face them all. Have confidence in yourself."
Regis questioned with curiosity, "Then why can't I even scratch you?"
Rai, his tone filled with pride, replied, "I'm different from them."
Regis, curious, asked, "Different? Are you from the Eternal Nobles?"
Rai's voice turned cold as he responded, "I am, but not entirely."
Regis, puzzled, inquired, "What does that mean?"
Rai, maintaining his cold tone, stated, "Regis, don't you have to leave early today to make preparations?"
Regis, realizing that Rai didn't wish to discuss the matter further, paused and replied, "Of course, I do. I'm going to train today... You've taught me many things in these past five days... Thank you, Rai," he said, a genuine smile forming on his face.
As Regis smiled, warmth returned to Rai's demeanor. "Okay, now go. Be careful out there. I cannot assist you any further than this."
Regis nodded, expressing his understanding. "I know. Don't worry. I'll be back in no time. I'll tell you everything when I return."
Regis bid Rai farewell and left the secret realm.
Rai remained standing there, pulling his right hand from behind his back.
He murmured to himself, "Who said you didn't scratch me?"
Observing his trembling hand, Rai clenched his fist and reflected, "Since my existence, no one has pushed me back this far. He has become so strong in just a few days, to the point of causing me harm."
Gazing at the sky, he pondered, "I can see why his father is so determined to hide his strength."
As Rai gazed at the old tree and the pathway leading to the palace, he found himself deep in thought.
"Should I go back to the palace or not?" he pondered, scratching his chin in reflection.
After Considering over it for quite some time, a mischievous smile tugged at the corner of his lips. "Maybe not,"
he chuckled to himself. "I'll just stay here for a little while longer. The palace can handle itself without me."
