It was already day break and I had to get back home early. I greeted Elena's family after breakfast and thanked them for their hospitality.
"Cassie I forget my phone in my room, I'm going to get it, ok? You can wait for me at the front door; I won't take much of your time" Elena said, giving me her puppy dog face before she ran upstairs to go get her phone. I let out a little laughter as I headed for d door.
I was too occupied with my phone that I didn't know when I tripped over something. What d heck!! I thought to myself. I turned only to find out that it's not something but someone. He raised up his head and had that angry look on his face, he looked at me like I was some insignificant person and frowned. He was laying down on the floor near the exist door, with his leg wildly separated from each other. He gave me that look that made me wanna run and hide.
Why was he looking at me like that? I asked myself. I'm the one ment to be mad. He made me trip and he didn't even help me up or say sorry. I was piss and I couldn't help my next words to him
"Hey mister grumpy, cat got your tongue?" I asked him with my anger evidence in my voice. He slowly lifted his upper body off the floor. He did it so slow like he had all the time in the world. And when he was finally up he gave me one glance before turning around to look at his surrending like I was not interesting enough.
"Just who the fuck do you think you are" I asked him, my anger getting the best of me at this point. He stood up immediately before I could even blink an eye, he stared at me with does look that could kill and all of a sudden he started steeping close and before I could move he grabbed my hands to stop me from moving any further. I was shock at his sudden reaction that I just stared at him in ultimate surprise.
He pulled me close to him. We were so close that I could feel his breath as he exhaled before he suddenly spoke.
"Your a handful you know that right?", He asked and I just stared at him in confusion before he spoke again "didn't I warn you not to ever say the word "fuck" in my presence again" he spilled those words out with his expression changing to that of seriousness with his cold aroma surrounding him like a shield
"You don't get to tell me what to do" I managed to say, With my breath shaking and my heart beating so loud like it was about to burst.
"That's where you got it all wrong my darling" he said giving me one of those wicked side smile that doesn't even reach the eye "what I say stand!" He said with his voice coming out strong and firm
"Let go of me you freak" I yelled out to him
"No!! I'll let go of you when I want to" he said bringing up his hands and tracing my colder bones. As he touched me,I felt spark like that of electricity where ever his hands touch and I was leaning into his touch as I felt clam all of a sudden. He raised up my head with his hand and our face were itches away from each other. We were so close that I thought our lips were actually going to meet and connect "you smell nice, I wonder how you will taste" he says looking me dead in the eyes. We both stood there looking at each other waiting for the first person to make the move.
"Jayden?" Elena's voice drew us out of our little fantasy and back to the world. What the hell almost happened! I thought to myself as I jerked myself away from jayden losing the spark and the nice feeling I felt when he held me.
"What the hell are you doing jayden?" Elena asked with anger evidence in her voice
"What does it look like I'm doing" he responded without a single care in the world
"Your getting married in less than a month, you shouldn't be messing around with my friend like that" Elena vomited those words with much venom. Wait! Did she just say his getting married? I look up at him with shocked expression as he stared back at me for a moment with no emotions before he turned back to Elena and replied her
"She's mine!!" He uttered with a very strong and firm voice
" No she's not yours, you don't want her remember?" She says before everything registered in my head
"Did you bring me here just for your brother?" I asked as several emotions and thought went through me. They seem to have noticed that I was still there cause they both turned to me as realization dawned on them.
"Cassie of cuz not...." Elena was still talking before I turned and ran out. I could hear them yell my name but I didn't stop until I reached the Car waiting for me outside and with one last look at them, I turned and entered the car and left.
It didn't take long to arrived at my house or maybe it did, I can't tell cause I was lost in my own little world and didn't pay attention to what was happening.
I opened up the front door and stepped it. I went straight to the kitchen cause I felt suffocated and needed water. After which I went straight for my bed room but before stepping in, granny ivy's voice stopped me in my track
"Cassie dearest, is that you?" She asked as she stood up from her chair in the wait room
"Yes granny, I'm heading to bed now I'm tired. I responded to her hurrying up to my room
"Ok then" she called out.
I woke up to the sound of glass breaking or so I thought. The sun was already setting, I stood up and went straight to my bathroom to wash my face and wash out the sleep from my eye. I was still in the washroom when suddenly I heard a scream of pain. I came out and called granny but no one answered so I went out of my room and down d stairs.
"Granny?" I called out and still no reply, that's strange i thought. Even if granny don't answer, one of the house keepers are meant to answer. Could it be that they all went home already? But it's still early for them to go home. I continued my journey down the stairs with many possiblities playing over in my head. I told myself to clam down and that I was just over thinking stuffs when suddenly, I heard a sound near the kitchen and I turned and picked up the mob stick near by, planing on using it as a weapon incase of any problem.
I came into the kitchen and everything seem to be in order and I let out a sign of relief before something caught my eye. There was a food in the gas left unattended, and then I thought to myself how could the maids be so careless and where did all of them run off to? I moved closer to check on the food where I saw the 3 house keepers chained up behind the kitchen counter. What the hell!! I thought as fear creep into me
"Cassie run!!" I heard my granny voice called out from somewhere in the house, I was too distracted to even focus as to where d voice was coming from. As I turned to run a hand dragged my hair and I let out a scream of pain before the unknown criminal threw me to the near by wall. I landed on my butt as tears blinded my vision. I felt the unknown criminal kick me in my belly as I bent down in pain.
"What are you doing?" A voice spoke out of no where
"We have to make sure she's not strong enough to escape" another voice spoke
"Fine but don't hurt her much, we need her alive" he said with finality
"Nooo!! Leave her take me" my granny called out
"No your too old witch" one of the voice said as they laughed at their sick talk. My brain became froggy as I felt pain all over my body as I received kicks and punch from different directions. I've never felt so bad and weak in my life, it feels like I was going to give up any time soon when suddenly I heard granny's voice and cry
"Cassie close your eye and scream!!" She said outloud. I close my eyes and opened it again, it felt like my vision got clearer and my senses too.
"What the heck!" One of the voices said
"I thought you said she didn't have access to her power yet?" Another voice said sounding angry
"Yes but..." The 3rd voice replied before he could complete his statement, I let out an ear piercing scream and when I stopped screaming I saw everyone on the floor. I ran towards my granny who was landing on the back exist looking drained.
"Granny!!" I called out to her feeling scared all of a sudden
"Run cassie, run!!" She said with her weak voice "run and don't look back, don't stop running either"
"Run to where"I asked with tears rolling down my face "I can't leave you like this" I said in between hiccups
"Run my child, go to the Andres there will help you. Don't worry about me, I'll come for you soon". She said and gave me a little push.
I stood up with my tears stained face and ran like never before. I ran and ran into the woods but still felt like someone was following me but I still kept running. Help!! I screamed as I ran, hoping that Elena or anyone in her little community hears me.
I tripped but I push myself up and kept running. I lost counts of how many times I've tripped. Blood was flowing from different parts of my body. My cloths were soaked with my blood already, I was losing consciousness. I managed to look at my surrounding at noticed that I was already In the woods, I was so tired and I honestly can't explain how I managed to keep going until...
I tripped and fell over a log of wood when suddenly a very big black wolf appeared in front of me backing me from seeing what was going on. I felt scared, I was surrendered by wolves what will I do? I asked myself. I felt really sacred and I had the urge to scream and that's exactly what I did. I screamed really loud and by the time i stopped screaming, I was immediately carried away by darkness and I gladly welcomed it wanting all this to be just a dream.
