Chapter 6 - Light-Blue Fire

The discipleship ceremony didn't take a long time. Fu Yang could have made Shi Wen his disciple already by making him sign a discipleship contract.

However, he wanted to feel the feeling of those other masters requiring their new disciple prepare a tea for them.

'So this is the feeling of being a Master... Quite ordinary, I must say.'

"Shi Wen, now that you are my disciple I want you to sign a discipleship contract. This is bound to your soul, so even if you're dead I can find your reincarnation."

Fu Yang search for the contact in his spatial ring. He already prepared this a year ago, not long after he conquered the Unnamed Mystic Realm.

He encoded it in his Energy Laptop and printed 5 copies.

Even if he got more disciple in the future, he can just look for soft copy and print it again.

If he wrote this with his incomprehensible handwriting, he would spend too much time and make it hard for his future disciples to read the contract.

This contract was something he got from the Cultivation Book, 'Be a Good Master and Cultivate!'.

It seems like everytime he found a disciple, he will need them to sign a contract that bound his disciple's soul to him.

Fu Yang didn't know what other function the contract has, he only know that he needed it in order go cultivate.

"Here's the contract Shi Wen. Read it and sign it."

Fu Yang handed a contract with printed words. If Fu Yang really used his own penmanship, perhaps Shi Wen wouldn't understand anything.

"Uhmm...how do I sign it?"

Shi Wen slightly glanced at the contract for a few seconds before deciding to sign it.

"You read quite fast, here is a pen and an ink pad. Dip your thumb on the InkPad and then put your thumb in the box below. After that, sign the line beside it."

Knowing that Shi Wen agreed to sign it, he guided him on how to do it.

'Does this contract function even if I just printed it? The book didn't say if handwritten or printed. Also, I am quite curious on how this contract will bound Shi Wen's soul to me.'

After guiding Shi Wen on how to leave his thumb print and sign, he waited for Shi Wen to do all the process.

However, not long after he left his thumbprint he looked like he was lost on what to do next.

"Ma-master, I don't know how to sign my name..."

Actually, Shi Wen didn't know how to read and write. He didn't want to say it, fearing tht Fu Yang might not want him to become his disciple anymore.

"Just write your name here. Wait, let me take a clean paper and show you..."

Fu Yang went through his spatial ring again in order to look for a clean paper, as soon as he found it he put it in the table and started writing Shi Wen's name many times so Shi Wen can choose what to follow.

Fu Yang didn't think that Shi Wen actually didn't know how to write. Children at his age are already studying in a school, so he assumed that Shi Wen was the same.

Fu Yang only thinks that he hasn't decided what signature he will use in the future.

"Here's your name, choose among this what would you like. However, I personally choose this slightly cursive name of yours."

'So this is my name...' Shi Wen thought as he looked at the clean paper full of his name written in various ways.

"O-okay, Master." Shi Wen begun to copy what his master chose.

As soon as he finished signing, the contract started to float and then stopped halfway to the ceiling.

"Wha-what's happening master?"

However, Fu Yang was too immersed at studying what is happening on the contract to respond Shi Wen.

When the contract stopped going further up, it started to burned with a Light-Blue Fire. After everything was finished, the Ligh-Blue fire divided into two and each fire floated towards Fu Yang and Shi Wen.

"Master... What's this? Is it going to burn me up?"

The only thing that Shi Wen knows about fire that it can burn things, so he was quite afraid with the fire.

"Don't worry Shi Wen, this fire is harmless. Just stay still and accept it."

Fu Yang tried putting his finger on the fire and he didn't get burned. It seems like this fire is just a harmless one.

Shi Wen followed Fu Yang order and stood still beside him.

Knowing that the two of them let out their acceptance, the fire slowly entered through their chest.

"Master! You were right, this fire isn't doing anything to me!"

When the fire entered inside Fu Yang, he felt something warm.

Fu Yang wanted to looked what happened so he closed his eyes to sense what was happening inside him.

'It seems like this Light-Blue Fire is Shi Wen's, he didn't feel anything when the Fire entered him because this was his to begin with.'

As the warm feeling slowly disappeared, a scene appeared in his mind.

"Don't... don't take me... Mother! Mother!"

It was Shi Wen. He was inside a cell box, calling for help.

"Hey, that kid is being too annoying. Did you really inject him some tranquilizer?"

"I did!"

Looking at the two men driving the car, Fu Yang wanted to strangle them. How could they kidnap Shi Wen?

Even if Fu Yang wanted to kill the two, he couldn't. Right now he was inside the memory of Shi Wen.

"Inject another tranquilizer! Choose the more potent!"

The person in the passenger took a syringe and went towards Shi Wen.

"You should have stayed silent. If you weren't noisy, I wouldn't have to inject you a tranquilizer again!"

The man pointed the syringe towards Shi Wen.

"No! No! Please don't do *sob* this! I am sorry! I will be a *sob* good boy now..."

Looking at the hideous face of the man infront, Shi Wen was too scared that he started to cry.

"Too late!"

"Nooo!"

As the man was continued to approach suddenly, Shi Wen fainted and fire started appearing around him.

'It's the same Light-Blue Fire.'

It became bigger and bigger, slowly enveloping the car.

"Wh-what's this? Noooo!"

However, that's the last thing heard by the man. As soon as he was enveloped by the fire, he became ashes.

Soon, the driver, the car and the cell followed, leaving the unconscious Shi Wen all alone amidst the ashes.

After that, the scene stopped and Fu Yang returned to himself.

He opened his eyes and looked at Shi Wen.

"Shi Wen, how did you come in Havenshire City?"

Shi Wen thought for a moment before responding.

"I don't know, when I woke up I was lying in a road surrounded by ashes."

'So it seems like that fire contained his forgotten memory. And this explained why he was at Havenshire City even though he came from a rural area. He was kidnap.'

"Do you have a family before you woke up in that road?"

Now that he was his disciple, he must take care of his matter very seriously.

"My... My mother already died... She died because of illness..."

When Fu Yang heard that, he felt pity towards Shi Wen. Such a small child but already experienced too many difficulties.

"I see... Don't worry Shi Wen. From now on, I am your family."

Fu Yang said this in order to lift the atmosphere up. It was too gloomy for such a happy occasion.

"Shi Wen, when others asked you to sign a contract don't do it immediately. Ask my permission first. I needed you to sign the disciple contract so that you will become truly my disciple. Understand?"

Obviously, Fu Yang knows that having children sign a contract was wrong. However, this was a special case. Also, he was already his master because Shi Wen agreed to.

"Yes master. I understand."

Looking at the clock showing 9:30 p.m., Fu Yang decided it was time for Shi Wen to go to bed.

"Now return to your room and sleep, tomorrow you will need to get up early and come with me in the New Disciple Entrance examination. Perhaps, I may find you a little brother soon."

Because it was already too late, Fu Yang decided that it was time to sleep. Children shouldn't stay up too late.

Before tucking Shi Wen in his bed, he have him wash up and change to pajamas.

When Shi Wen was tucked in his bed, Fu Yang said goodnight and left the room.

He went to the living room again and sat in his rocking chair.

He took out his Energy Phone and called his Master. He needed to inform him about this new disciple of his.

Ring, Ring, after a few more rings the call was finally picked up.

"Fu Yang! State your purpose immediately, I am quite busy!"

There was too many background noises on the other side of call. His master was really too busy.

"I got myself a disciple, bye!"

Because his master hurried him, he really said that he have a disciple now very fast and hang up the call.

A few seconds later, he received a call from his master.

"You what? Wait for a few months, I will be back and when I return introduced me that disciple of yours."

As soon as his master said that, he too hang up the phone immediately. It seems like the saying, 'Like Master, like disciple' was true.
