"That's it... You and I will have a DNA test later after the Entrance Examination."
The words of Elder Fu reverberated through his being, igniting a flicker of hope that surged within him, impossible to suppress.
'Maybe... he might really be my father.'
With that thought nailed on his head, he might really be able to leave behind his life as a servant.
No more orders to follow, no more unreasonable young master...
He has his own family, if he was related to the elder.
"Let's go back inside and eat lunch."
The two of them went inside the living room.
As the door opened, their eyes were greeted by the sight of Fufu, carefully arranging the dish on the small coffee table.
The food Fufu prepared was Fu Yang's favorite: Sweet and Sour Chicken.
Looking at the small table and at the two young men infront, the small space seemed to be inadequate for the two people to eat. There was also Shi Wen.
Where are they going to seat?
Fu Yang really needs to buy a bigger table in order to cater his increasing family.
"You two eat on the counter while standing, I haven't bought a new set of table yet. Fufu, prepare their utensils on the counter."
Thankfully, the expansive counter separating the kitchen and living room provided ample space for the two to dine. However, there were no extra chairs so they can only eat while standing.
The two followed without voicing any complain.
Shi Wen also arrive in the living room with his new clothes on. He looked refreshed as if he didn't cry before.
He took a seat in the coffee table and started eating the food cooked by Fufu.
"Master, am I coming with you to the Entrance Examination later?"
Hearing the question of Shi Wen, Fu Yang put down his utensils before answering.
"Obviously you will be coming with me, the two over there will also be coming together with us."
Hearing that they would also follow them on the Entrance Examination, Yu Feng and Fu Cheng looked towards the two and then resumed eating.
After they finished their lunch, Fu Yang called Yu Feng over while he instructed the two to wait for them outside.
"Yu Feng, in order to fully become my disciple you will need to sign this discipleship contract."
Like Shi Wen, Yu Feng also need to sign the discipleship contract.
Curious on what is written on the contract, Yu Feng read it carefully.
'I accept to become a disciple under Fu Yang and bounding my soul to him. By signing this contract I agree to be on the following rules:
- Never betray my Master
- Follow my Master
- Live harmoniously with my other fellow disciple.
What does it mean to have my soul bound to him? Anyway, this contract is good. Let's just sign it and finish this already.'
"Okay master, I agree to sign this."
Shortly after Fu Yang took out an InkPad and pen from his spatial ring and gave it to Yu Feng.
As soon as Yu Feng took it, he immediately signed and printed his thumb on the small box beside the signature line.
Same as Shi Wen, the contract started floating up. However, unlike Shi Wen's contract being burned, Yu Feng's got a small red-blood dot at the center that started to spread through the whole contract. When the contract was completely enveloped by the red-blood color it became a big droplet.
Quite confused on what was happening, Yu Feng looked at Fu Yang.
"Master, what is happening to the contact?"
Before Fu Yang could explain, the red big droplet divided into two and entered respectively to the both of them.
Already expecting this to happen, Fu Yang closed his eyes and waited for a scene related to Yu Feng to enter his mind.
As soon as he returned home from school, a sense of excitement enveloped Yu Feng's being. Anticipation coursed through his veins, for his parents had made a promise to embark on a journey to visit his revered Grandfather.
As the door creaked open, a sight of unspeakable horror unfolded before him.
There, in the dimly lit room, stood his beloved mother, her life cruelly severed by the merciless blade of a Nascent Realm cultivator.
Time seemed to freeze as Yu Feng's senses grappled with the unimaginable scene that unfolded before him, a tableau of sheer terror that threatened to engulf his very being.
His heart pounded in his chest, his mind struggling to comprehend the sheer brutality of the act he had just witnessed.
Helplessness washed over him, leaving him paralyzed, his gaze locked upon the harrowing spectacle before him.
Fear, like a poisonous serpent, coiled itself around his trembling form, threatening to consume him entirely.
Quivering hands betrayed his inner turmoil, as if mirroring the shattered fragments of his world.
Legs once steady and sure now faltered beneath him, threatening to give way to the overwhelming weight of despair that pressed down upon his soul.
The ground beneath him seemed to shift, no longer a solid foundation but a treacherous void ready to swallow him whole.
A voice, cold and callous, pierced through the haze of Yu Feng's disintegrating consciousness.
Its words, laced with cruel disdain, echoed in his ears, a haunting reminder of his vulnerability.
"Fortunately," the murderer sneered, his voice dripping with contempt, "you are just a child. You are too insignificant, too feeble to warrant my blade."
And as the tendrils of darkness enveloped Yu Feng's fragile frame, his world succumbed to the consuming embrace of unconsciousness, leaving him to the mercy of a cruel fate, his last remnants of awareness echoing with the bitter realization that he had been deemed unworthy of death.
Opening his eyes again, Fu Yang found himself back in his living room.
He looked at Yu Feng's confused face as to why did a droplet of blood came inside of him.
"Master, will there be something wrong with me later on because of that droplet?"
Fu Yang was still processing the scene that unfolded before him earlier to immediately respond to Yu Feng. He still couldn't believe that this person in front of him has such traumatic past.
Putting a sympathetic smile, he answered Yu Feng's question.
"Everything will be okay."

As the four of them arrived at the location for the second part of the entrance examination, they looked at the crowd of people in front.
The second part of the Examination was often called the true Examination.
Success here meant immediate acceptance as a disciple of the Heavenly Cosmic Sect.
Every examinee was well aware of the significance of this stage, having conducted thorough research in anticipation of the trials that lay ahead.
Dressed in protective garments they had brought along, they stood ready to face the challenges within the Cosmic Hell Cave.
"This is the Cosmic Hell Cave. I assumed you already research before hand what will happen inside the cave right? However, I will still explain in case there are some people who didn't do their research.
Cosmic Hell Cave is covered by a big formation that randomly generate a trial. Some of you may get a free pass while others may get a very difficult trial."
Fu Yang paused his explanation in order to get a box of talisman in his spatial ring.
"Here are some safety talisman. As soon as you shatter this talisman you will come back here. By shattering this talisman means you are giving up the trial."
Each examinees took a talisman and wore it.
"Good luck, aspiring disciples of the Heavenly Cosmic Sect!"
As the final examinee entered the Cosmic Hell Cave, Fu Yang led Shi Wen, Yu Feng, and Fu Cheng to a concealed monitoring room adjacent to the entrance.
The entrance itself was guarded by a stone barrier that only cultivators of the Nascent Realm and beyond possessed the strength to move it away.
Upon entering the room adorned with numerous monitors, Shi Wen found himself overwhelmed by the sight.
"Wow! There are so many TVs here. Look, this is the person from earlier!"
Shi Wen pointed towards the monitor of the last examinee to enter.
"For the next few hours, let's watch the trial. If you find a stubborn examinee that doesn't want to use the talisman, just tell me."
With his trusty aides by his side, Fu Yang earnestly hoped they would assist him in monitoring the proceedings. After all, he couldn't possibly watch hundreds of screens simultaneously.
